“Diana has been wonderful with Mammoth. She’s dependable, keeps me updated with photos, and genuinely spends time with him during her visits. Knowing he’s getting attention and care while I’m working long shifts gives me a lot of peace of mind.”

“Tiffany was great! Went above and beyond. I just needed someone to let my pups out to pee. Tiffany took the pups out in the sun, let them sunbathe, took a bunch of beautiful photos and offered them yummy treats that she brought for them (not before asking me if it was ok).”

“This is my first time using Rover, and I am so happy that I did. Mia was fantastic! She came over before the scheduled visit to meet Chief and get instructions. She sent me more than 10 pictures and gave a very detailed account of everything they did while she dropped in to visit. Chief was happy and I was relaxed because I didn’t have to worry about his care.”

“Yumi and Cody have been absolutely wonderful pet sitters for my fur babies. They recently watched them for three days and, as always, provided fantastic updates that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I especially appreciate how attentive they are to my cat who loves to play—they always make sure he gets plenty of engagement and exercise. They’ve been caring for my cats for about a year now whenever I travel, and every experience has been consistently excellent. It’s such a relief knowing my pets are in such capable, thoughtful hands. I always feel at ease leaving home because I trust Yumi and Cody completely. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, caring pet sitters!”

“Michelle always takes such great care of our Anakin ! I received updates for each visit and was very responsive . I hope that she can continue to care for him on future trips!”

About: Experienced with Dogs, Cats, Reptiles (Lizards, Tortoises, etc), Amphibians (Axolotl, Newts, etc), Birds, Fish, & Young (Puppy/Kitten) & Elderly animals alike! I currently raise, train, bathe/groom and care for my Dogs (1, 7, 16), Tortoises, Adopted Strays (Cats), and a lover of all things animal life. My love runs deeply such that I treat others precious animals/pets/family as my own with every bit of care to detail and attentiveness as a whole. Note, Simba & Nena only visit now as family moved out and took them to the new house but while they do visit, it’s only Yugi whom is my personal dog. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Montclair
Sarah was very professional and sent updates each interaction she had with my dogs. My dogs are not necessarily easy to manage and she did phenomenally well with them. Which I am grateful for and also this was my first experience with Rover and for sure feel like I can use the app again. And would definitely ask Sarah next time.

Braelyn was very conscientious and flexible with her time to get to know my dogs and learn about their midday routine prior to the actual drop-in visit. My dogs have taken to her, which is big deal as one of my dogs is quite judgy and wary of certain people. I appreciated her honesty and care for my crew.

Paige took care of our two cats with twice-daily drop-in visits while we were away. She kept us updated with photos during each visit and was patient with our cats and their very different personalities, which helped put our minds at ease. She was easy to work with and made the process very smooth!

Matthew did a great job watching my two senior cats while we were away for 2 weeks. They were not even mad at me this time when we returned. They made little messes here and there and Matt always cleaned it up perfect for us. I highly recommend Matthew as a pet sitter!
Marx watched my dog for a full week, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the start, they were communicative, reliable, and clearly cared about making sure my dog felt comfortable and safe. I got regular updates, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. When I got back, my dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for—which says everything. It’s obvious Marx genuinely loves animals and takes their responsibility seriously. I would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dependable and caring sitter.

Tiffanny was great with my 6 month old puppy. This was my first time leaving her for such a long period of time but Tiffanny was able to check on her multiple times throughout the day and give her walks and lots of attention. Great communication too. I would highly recommend!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
