“Yilin is very responsive and kept us updated throughout the day with photos and videos! My dog looked like she had a lot of fun and was very comfy at her place. I would definitely be booking with Yilin again :)”

“One of the best gifts a dog could get on their birthday is endless play - which was what our pup’s day was like at Steven & Roxie’s. With the sitters’ own playful dogs, our 1yr old pup had the greatest day. Even when she had an accident indoors, maybe due to nerves or what not, Steven & Roxie were very understanding and immediately alerted me to the situation. Again, my apologies. Thanks again for being loving and patient sitters.”

“Our Labrador had a great time adapting to daycare for the first time , Caihua and her husband are both very attentive and sent lots of videos of his first day to reassure us he was having a good time socializing with other dogs in their care. Clean healthy indoor and outdoor environment for dogs to socialize and relax”

“They took such great care of my dog while I was away. Sent regular updates and pictures, which really put me at ease, and it was clear my pup was happy and comfortable the entire time. I really appreciate how responsive and kind they were throughout the whole process. I would absolutely book again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring sitter.”

About: I am certified dog trainer. I have 10 years of pet sitting/dog walking experience. I specialize in care for puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, and anxious dogs. I understand canine behavior and focus on keeping walks safe, structured, and positive. I’m also comfortable administering medication when needed. I have helped during puppy labor and delivery and am able to stay calm and clear minded through high pressure situations. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and started dog walking at 10 years old. I’m calm, patient, reliable, and always send photo updates so you can feel confident while you’re away. As a college student with a flexible schedule, I’m able to provide dog walks and drop-ins throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends. I plan my schedule carefully to ensure each pet receives dedicated attention, consistency, and reliable care. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I pay close attention to body language and behavior to ensure every walk and visit is safe and positive. During drop-ins, I follow all care instructions carefully, keep routines consistent, and make sure doors, gates, and crates are properly secured before leaving. I always provide photo updates so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away.
About: I have been resident of Diamond Bar for over 10 years. My family and I have had many dogs and cats over the years, along with turtles, frogs, guinea pigs, fish, hamsters, and so on. Pets have brought my family so much joy! But with that joy comes the agony of leaving them to go on business trips or vacation. I truly understand this struggle and hope to make your time away a little more carefree. I'm currently working from home part-time and have lots of time to care for pets. I can care for your pets in your home or mine and am available for walks or drop-in visits anytime. I have a home with a fenced yard. We do not have any pets. Your pet will have the house and lovely yard to play and frolic.
“Adrian and Jovan are great! My nervous dog stayed with them a couple of days in a row while I was at work. She wasn’t happy about me leaving on the first day, but she clearly had a great time. On the second morning at drop off, she jumped excitedly out of the car and walked right into the house, barely even acknowledging that I was leaving. I could tell that she felt safe, comfortable, and happy with them. They clearly showered her with attention, and she had a great time zooming around the yard and playing fetch. I would absolutely have her stay with Adrian and Jovan again!”

About: We have over 11 years of experience working with dogs. Our goal is simple: keep your dog safe, healthy, clean, physically and mentally fulfilled, and comfortable while you're away. One thing that's important to us is keeping you updated too! We send LOTS of pictures and videos throughout the day because if we were boarding our own dog, that's exactly the kind of updates we'd want to receive. You can expect multiple updates each day (and also at night!), so you'll always know how your pup is doing. Over the years, we've learned a lot about dog behavior, nutrition, grooming, training, and overall dog care. We also own a Standard Poodle, Thumper, whose sensitive stomach and training journey have taught us the importance of routine, patience, structure, and consistency. We've cared for many dogs and understand that every pup is different. We don't expect every dog to behave the same or fit into one routine. Instead, we adjust based on their personality, energy level, comfort level, and individual needs. Since Thumper has chronic pancreatitis and a very sensitive stomach, we understand how important it is to stick closely to feeding schedules and routines - and to watch what goes into their tummy like a hawk!! So if your dog takes medications, vitamins, has a special diet, or follows a certain routine, just let us know. We're happy to accommodate! We're generally the best fit for friendly, social, house-trained dogs that are comfortable around people and other dogs, and enjoy a quiet home environment. For everyone's safety, we generally don't accept dogs with a history of aggression or excessive separation anxiety. We intentionally keep our boarding program small because we'd rather provide a better experience than board as many dogs as possible. Every dog receives plenty of supervision, exercise, and individual attention-we treat every dog like an individual, not just another boarding reservation :) Pet care is already a big part of our daily lifestyle! We have our own Standard Poodle, Thumper, and several returning daycare & boarding guests, so our days naturally revolve around dogs, especially during weekends and holidays! We work from home most of the time, so your pup won't be spending hours alone waiting for someone to come back. Instead, their day will be filled with regular potty breaks, playtime, cuddle time, exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of supervised fun both indoors and outdoors! To make sure every pup gets the attention they deserve, we intentionally keep our boarding program small. A maximum of four guest dogs (five including Thumper)! That means more 1-on-1 attention, more quality time, and more personalized care for everyone! Dogs are supervised inside the house and whenever they're in the backyard. We introduce new doggo friends carefully and never force interactions. Every dog has a different personality, confidence level, and comfort zone, so we take the time to get to know them first. Our own dog, Thumper, went through professional training. One thing we quickly learned is that the training isn't just for the dog—the biggest lessons are actually for us as pet parents! It taught us a great deal about canine behavior, verbal and body language as communication, and handling techniques. That knowledge has helped us better understand each dog's individual needs and how to help them feel comfortable and confident in a new environment. Because Thumper also has chronic pancreatitis and a sensitive stomach, we've become very detail-oriented when it comes to feeding routines, nutrition, making sure nobody steals anyone else's food, and yes... inspecting poop! 😆 (We're proud poop inspectors!) If you'd like, we're even happy to send you poop updates so you can stay informed about your pup's tummy health. We also believe good communication builds trust. That's why we keep detailed documentation throughout your pup's stay, along with lots of photos and videos, so you'll always know how they're doing while you're away.
“There were a lot of logistics involved in my booking since my mom and I were switching off dropping off my dog, but Tammy was really flexible and understanding. She provided photo (and potty) updates regularly and made sure Coco always felt comfortable in her home. Coco will let us know if she ever feels uncomfortable somewhere, so it was a good sign when we came back every morning and she was happy to be there. We will definitely re-book with Tammy whenever we need a dogsitter!”

“Yu was a great dog sitter! His dogs got along well with my dog, he did walks around the neighborhood, and he took great pictures to show me throughout the day how my dog was doing so I can check in and feel assured that he was doing ok and happy. There was even a picture where my dog was happy playing in the grass under the sun in his backyard with his dogs with a smile on his face so I was really satisfied with his services. I will definitely book again. THANK YOU YU for taking great care of my son!”

“Joyce was so excellent with our little dog! She kept us well informed with texts and pictures. She made sure our dog ate on time and had plenty of potty breaks. All around a great experience!”

About: I’ve always been that person animals instantly love, probably because I treat them like tiny roommates with paws. Friends, neighbors, and family have asked me to watch their dogs and cats for years, so I’ve cared for everything from clingy lap dogs to “I only like three humans” cats. I stick to their routine, keep them happy, and send plenty of cute photo updates (sorry in advance for the spam). I treat every pet like my own and honestly just love hanging out with them. Can’t wait to meet your furry goofball! 🐾😄 Pets fit perfectly into our routine, I work from home, so your furry friend basically gets two extra humans all day! Walks, playtime, belly rubs, snack breaks, you name it, we’ve got time. Your pet might even start liking us more than you. 🐾😄 I treat every pup like part of the family! I have a sunny balcony perfect for doggy lounging. My dog loves having new buddies to hang out with, and I always keep an eye on everyone to make sure playtime stays fun and safe. If your pup needs quiet time, I can crate or give them their own space. I stick to their normal routine so they feel happy, comfy, and right at home.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
