“Shirley is wonderful! She took great care of our boy and sent updates on what he’s up and how he’s doing throughout the day. Will definitely be booking again when we need a dog sitter!”

“Biggie usually stays home during the hours I work, but I happened to have a long day and needed for him to be taken care of. Josephine asked me questions about him before accepting the job; she sent me photos regularly throughout the day so I could be in the know about what was happening. If/when I have another long day at work, I feel confident leaving my Biggie with Josephine.”

“Analisa was excellent! Very friendly and clearly cared about our dog a lot. Sent tons of photos and videos throughout the day, which I appreciated. Will definitely use again.”

About: For well over a decade, I have been trusted by friends, family, and strangers alike to take care of their beloved dogs. My experiences include senior dogs with mobility concerns and young hyper-active pups. Through strong attention to detail, I have nurtured and supported the well-being of many dogs and other pets alike. My experience taking care of different animals (e.g cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs) has made me a well-rounded pet sitter. I currently teach part-time at a local community college. Most of my workload can be performed at home. This gives me plenty of time to cater to the needs of your precious doggo. In my home, I have a fenced yard and plenty of space. This assures that dogs can be secured with room to stretch out. I, also, have many home security cameras as an added protection measure. My surrounding neighborhood is safe and very walkable which provides the perfect atmosphere for long walks.
About: I offer a safe, loving home with kids to play, a fenced backyard for exercise throughout the day and as much attention as your dog needs. Perfect for dogs needing care, fun, and family. Our family is almost always home. I can take our guests out for playtime several times throughout the day. After school my kids love to have fun with our guests as well if the guests are comfortable with that. I have a fenced yard where your dog can play, run and explore. It all depends on your dog and what they need, I can do my best to accommodate. If they’d rather just relax next to someone I can do that too.
About: I’ve been around animals for most of my life! I grew up with my dog Molly who was part of my family for 14 years, so I understand the responsibility that goes into caring for a dog through all the stages of their life. I also volunteered at a dog shelter for about a year, where I walked dogs, cleaned their kennels, fed them, and of course spent plenty of time playing and cuddling with them! This gave me experience caring for dogs with different personalities and needs. I’ve also fostered three kittens (at separate times) who needed medication and extra care. On top of that, I’ve cared for friends’ dogs both in their homes and mine. I’ve done everything from feeding and walks to drop-in visits and having dogs stay with me for extended periods of time. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’ll treat your pet with the same love and care I’d want someone to give my own! My school schedule varies Monday through Thursday, but I’m usually home earlier on Mondays and Wednesdays. Tuesdays and Thursdays are my longer days, and I typically get home around 8 PM. I’m mostly free on weekends, which gives me plenty of time to spend with your pets! If I do need to step out for a little while, my mom or dad is usually home and can keep an eye on them. Whenever I’m caring for a dog, I do my best to be home with them for the majority of their stay. I make sure they’re fed according to their normal routine, get plenty of potty breaks and walks, and receive lots of attention throughout the day! I also understand that every pet has their own routine, so I’m happy to follow any feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions, or other special care their owner provides.
“Marisol was great with Cooper. She was very kind, communicative, and made the whole drop-off and pick-up process easy. She kept us updated throughout the stay with messages and photos, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Cooper looked comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for the entire time. I really appreciated how attentive and friendly she was. I would definitely book with her again.”

“Working with May was an absolute pleasure! She watched our dog, Sonny, for three days of daycare and provided a fantastic experience from start to finish. May's communication was outstanding; she was highly responsive and sent us tons of adorable pictures and videos, which gave us peace of mind and made us feel like we were right there with Sonny. We loved that her house is spacious with a great yard, and her neighborhood is perfect for walks. We could tell Sonny had a blast and was well-cared for. We've already booked with her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!”

“Tiffanny is a true animal lover. I’m so happy we chose her to watch our Zeke. She sent pictures and video the entire time she had him. I enjoyed our day knowing our pup was in such great hands. I would not hesitate to leave Zeke with her again. If your looking for a great sitter for your fur baby definitely contact Tiffanny.”

“Monica was amazing with Kodda, she kept us updated with photos, upon picking Kodda up she even went vack to Monica for a goodbye pet she connected. WE already booked again. 5 stars”

I have a fenced yard where my own dog usually plays also a garage with beds for them to lay in and cool off. I have a cage for my dog I can put him in if needed. I also have all kinds of toys and Ice water all day. I can pretty much accommodate any of your pets needs

About: I had male husky growing up, fostered a female pit bull and rescued a 2 year old toy poodle. They have brought me so much joy through hikes, beach trips, and play dates with friends. I am excited to learn more about every pets unique personality especially through walking and playing time. Your pets will be in a safe and tidy environment with me. It would be extremely helpful to me if you can provide me with any information about your pet to allow them the most exciting and fun experience when they are with me. Hope to meet your furry friends very soon. I currently work hybrid and only go in person a few times a week. My days are flexible for house sitting, lots of long walks, potty breaks. I frequently accompany my neighbors and friends pets whenever they needed. Owners will leave me instructions for feeding, exercise and play time. For my poodle, we normally go on 3 walks a day, but now with the heat wave, she’s limited to two walks, early morning and evening. During the day, she’s kept busy with puzzle games and mental stimulation!
“My boy had so much fun with you today. He didn't even want to leave when we came to pick him up ❤️. I could tell he had been loved and interacted with and treated so well! Thank you for taking such good care of him.”

“I recently had the pleasure of entrusting my beloved Pup Rocky to the care of Adrian and Jovan, two extraordinary Pup sitters. Their professionalism, warmth, and genuine love for animals was evident from the moment we met. My Rocky was not only well taken care of but also showered with affection, playtime, and attention. It was clear that Adrian and Jovan went above and beyond to ensure Rocky’s happiness and comfort. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking outstanding and safe care for their furry companions.”

“I'm very happy to find a sitter that my Polly is comfortable with. Azucena was great with my dog, and I look forward to more daycare visits and our already booked dog boarding in September.”

“My pups clearly had a good time with Deb! She sent updates throughout the day so that was nice. It was my first time leaving the dogs with a sitter so I was a little nervous but everything went so smooth. Will definitely be using Deb for services again in the future!”

Ciara is the perfect sitter. She kept me updated with photos and videos. She was on time, polite, and overall such a sweet person. You can definitely tell that she’s had years of experience with dogs. I recommend her 100% to anyone that wants their fur babies to be in the best care 💕

Josephine is very calm, patience, and caring. She is quick to respond to messages and kept me updated on how my baby was warming up to her home and pups giving me a peace of mind. Thank you for treating him like one of your own. When I picked up Stud, he was so happy. I feel safe and comfortable leaving my Stud with you again.

First time leaving my coco with someone he didn’t he was a little nervous and scared at first but the first time pictures Marisol sent me he was doing great Coco came home with no energy lol which is a good thing overall this was a great experience thank you Marisol

Arely was sensational! She stayed on top of everything with clear and constant communication throughout the entire stay. I felt my girls were safe, happy, and very well cared for with her. I received pictures of dinner time, Ginger playing nonstop, relaxing on the sofa and bed with friends, and having an amazing play day. It truly looked like they had the best time. I highly recommend her services. She has a beautiful, clean, and open space for them to play, and her furry babies are absolutely amazing as well. 10/10 — thank you so much!

Booked just a few hours of doggy daycare. It was a last minute request but Christopher was responsive, nice and friendly. Immediately offered to have a call to learn more about our dog and make sure he and his house would be a good fit. He had a cute dog that was friendly and seemed to get along with ours during his stay. I would not hesitate to book with Christopher again if we needed his help again in the future.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Ontario commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
