About: Hi! My name is Karen and I’ve had a lifelong love for animals. I grew up with pets my whole life. I’m very comfortable handling different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I also have experience working in animal shelters, where I worked with a variety of pets and learned how to be patient, attentive, and responsive to each animal’s behavior. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, playtime, or just some extra care and attention, I will treat them like they’re my own. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to be available throughout the day. I prioritize feeding times, playtime, and check ins, and make sure each pet gets plenty of attention, companionship, and consistency. I provide a safe, calm, and cozy environment where pets can feel right at home. My home has large, secure spaces with a fully fenced backyard and front yard for safe play. I also have cat trees, cat toys, dog toys, and a dog friendly pool to keep pets happy and entertained. For comfort and safety, I always separate my cats when boarding, creating a relaxed environment for everyone. I’m also live near a park and can take pets on walks for fresh air and exercise. I always follow each pet’s routine and give them plenty of love, attention, and care, with regular updates for peace of mind.

About: Hi! My name is Lin, and I’m a pet sitter with a special focus on cats and small pets I currently have two cats of my own, one senior cat and one younger kitten, so I’m very familiar with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I understand that every cat adjusts differently in a new environment, and I always try to create a calm, low stress space where they can feel safe and comfortable at their own pace. I have experience with shy cats, affectionate cats, high energy kittens, and pets that need a little extra patience or monitoring. I pay close attention to eating habits, litter box changes, behavior, and overall comfort during their stay. Our home is clean, quiet, and pet friendly, and I always make sure pets have their own safe space if they need time alone. I also send regular updates, photos, and videos so you can feel connected while you’re away. I treat every pet like they’re my own and truly enjoy getting to know their personalities 😊 I work during the day from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, but I maintain a structured routine to ensure pets are well cared for before and after work. In the mornings, I provide feeding, cleaning, and check-ins, and in the afternoons and evenings I dedicate time for play, interaction, and monitoring. I’m available for boarding, drop-in visits, and pet sitting on both weekdays and weekends. I also have a home monitoring system to check on pets while I’m away, ensuring they remain safe and comfortable throughout the day. I provide a clean, quiet, and secure home environment that is ideal for both cats and small dogs. My home is a house in a safe and peaceful neighborhood, with a fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor time for dogs. I have two cats of my own — one calm and very friendly, and one playful — both are well-socialized and non-aggressive. I also have a separate room available for safe and gradual introductions or full separation if needed. All windows are secured with screens, and pets are always kept in a controlled and safe indoor environment. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, litter box care, and behavior monitoring. I provide daily photo and video updates for peace of mind, and I only accept a limited number of pets (maximum of 3 at a time) to ensure each pet receives proper attention and care.

“I feel very fortunate to have found Bonnie. She has cared for my pup twice now, and it’s been a wonderful fit. She’s always punctual (often early), professional, and attentive with my dog. Bonnie stays in constant communication and frequently sends photo updates, which I truly appreciate. I hope she continues to be available, as I’m confident she will quickly become my go-to sitter. Thank you, Bonnie—you’re amazing!”

“Cody and Yumi were both great! You can tell they truly care about other people's pets. They both worked with my shy boy, and Yumi even went out of her way to check on Coal even after I had an ant infestation attack his food! 🥹 Cannot recommend them enough and will definitely ask for them again in the future 🙏💜”

About: Hi! I’m a reliable and caring pet sitter based in Ontario, CA, available weekday afternoons and Fridays through Sundays. I grew up with pets and currently help care for three senior Chihuahua–Pomeranian mixes. My family and I rescued their parents and raised their entire litter of six, so I have hands-on experience with dogs of different ages, personalities, and needs. I also have a strong background caring for cats. I’ve raised two rescue cats since they were kittens, and my current cat is now 12 years old. This has given me a deep understanding of feline behavior and routines, as well as how to keep cats comfortable and stress-free in their home environment. I’m especially comfortable with senior pets and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and gentle care. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit, or keeping your pet company, I focus on making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for. I’m always happy to send photo updates for peace of mind. I’m new to Rover and look forward to earning your trust while providing dependable, loving care. I’d love the opportunity to work with you and your pets! I’m happy to work with first-time clients and offer flexible scheduling for weekend care. I'm currently working during the day, and I am available to care for your fur babies in the afternoons. I am pretty flexible during the weekends too. I provide attentive care during walks and visits, follow all instructions, ensure pets are safe and loved, and send pics. No boarding at this time.
“Val was Incredible! She was always updating us about our 2 cats. She let us know how they were behaving & what & when they were eating. We even had an incident with ants getting into our place & Val went above & beyond & literally got rid of them for us! Val is great pest control but most important of all she was an incredible choice to care for our animals. Anyone who books Val will certainly be getting the best overall care for your animals & your space!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ontario. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
