“Truly the best! After 12 hours of travel home, nothing is better than coming home to a happy cat, tidy litter/food/water. We are so grateful for you taking amazing care of our Blueberry while we are away. Thank you Yumi and Cody!”

“Bonnie gave my cats wonderful care while we were out of town, arriving promptly for each visit and following all directions. I've had a couple issues in the past with the house not being locked up properly with other sitters, but she did everything as requested and sent so many nice photos and excellent notes. Excited to book with her again!”

“Kaylee was amazing! I can’t say enough. This was our first time booking through Rover. We were in a last minute bind when we reached out to her. She checked in on Dodger for 2 weeks while we were out of the country. She was always on time and went out of her way to confirm small details. Dodger is over 10 years old and losing his vision. She gave him extra love and care. If you want a reliable person, you can definitely count on Kaylee. Our family will book with her for our next trip out of town. Thank you Kaylee!!!”

“Letitia is such a pleasure to work with!! She was very careful and diligent with my little tabby girl, Lilly. Lilly is very particular about who she takes to, and Letitia was able to pet her the first day they met. I would absolutely book Letitia again without hesitation!”

“Destinee took care of my cats and bunny over the weekend and it was fantastic! She was super accommodating and helpful with all the animals' needs. And she has had a lot of past experience which is always a plus. Overall I had a great experience and will definitely be coming back to her! Thank you Destinee!”
“Tanya did a fantastic job with Charley. She was super flexible with my husband and I trying to get the visits scheduled. I appreciated her communication and patience! Tanya was kind with Charley and gave him the love and attention he needed during what was a VERY busy week for us! Would definitely recommend Tanya and would use her again!”

“Laura made every effort possible to get my very shy cat to come out from hybernation until he actually came out! I am happy I placed my trust in her capable hands.”

About: I have been around animals of all shapes and sizes my whole life. I am a vet tech within the army so I do have the medical training to care for pets. I have a 6 year old dog that I trained as a puppy so I do have experience with training. Currently I have plenty of time to care for pets and have very few commitments that would require me to not be available during the week. With my vet tech experience I am knowledgeable of pet body language and care. I make it a priority to keep animals happy and healthy according to the specific pets needs.

“Natalie is amazing! She takes care of our cat and our plants and trash bins while we are absent. She is quick and responsive, and could help to accommodate change of schedule if needed. Also since we travel abroad and has time difference, we always leave messages to Natalie and she would reply to us whenever she sees it. And we never feel like we are away from our cat or our home. She is a great sitter and I would definitely recommend her to anyone.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child, my father has a kennel of dogs, and I always lived with animals (rabbits, cats, doves, and others), I love every single animal, and pets deserve the best! So you can count on me to take care of your sweet fur friend. I work from home so I have a lot of time to spend with your furry! It will be fun to play together, I can play with them and also walked them everyday. As I said I work from home, so it will be easier for me to play a lot either your baby, also, I have a big fenced backyard, which is very helpful, I love to play with them there, like catching the ball and smell around!
“Alicia has been so great with my two kitties. They really seem to love her (even my shy, reserved girl who usually hides!) She gives great, straightforward updates with cute and silly photos of them eating and playing. Your pets are in good hands with her.”

“I booked Victoria W. last minute request for same day services. She DID NOT disappoint!! She was professional, kind, and courteous. She kept me updated throughout her time with texts and photos!! My little furry one is not always friendly first time around but Victoria knew how to get her to warm right up! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HER AND WILL BE USING HER AGAIN FOR FUTURE SERVICES!!”

“Kristy was awesome with our skittish, diabetic cat. We needed someone who could be friendly yet firm about making sure our cat got her insulin injection twice a day and Kristy was up for the task! She was also punctual and communicative. Thank you, Kristy!!!”

About: I've had pet dogs my whole life and have years of experience taking care of others' dogs, varying from taking them on walks to stopping in for food and potty breaks to staying overnight to watch them. I work part time in the afternoons, so I am available for morning dog walks and can do evening or overnight stays for dog sitting! I have experience working in various types of homes, from houses to apartments, including homes with security systems. I keep a close eye on pets when they're outdoors.

“We had Ann for drop in visits to feed our dogs over a couple of days. Everything went smoothly and our three dogs took well to her. She was timely in her visits providing feedback through videos and photos and messages. We would recommend her and will definitely use her again should the need arise.”

About: Hi! My name is Melanie. I am passionate about people. I enjoy providing services to give people peace of mind. I have done so with pet care (all kinds of pets), childcare, senior care, house sitting, social work, and life coaching. I am punctual, responsible, and neat. I bring a little extra to the work I do. I specialize in caring for giant breeds and am comfortable and experienced caring for dogs of all sizes. I can administer medicine if necessary, and your pets will feel as loved as if you were home! I would love to hear about the family dynamics your dog is used to so that I can provide as much of that as possible while you are away. My family lives far away, and I am missing my two big, sweet rottweilers, and dog sitting more frequently will fill my heart up while I wait to visit them again!

Tanta ia the absolute best. For the first time our family was able to take a trip together because of Tanya's care of our animals. Since we have had our dog, we’ve never been able to travel together. She came prior to our trip to meet our dog and us. She kept her commitment and came to not only feed our pets but to play love and snuggle them. We are ever so grateful for you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
