About: I am extremely passionate about animals. I have a background in animal behavior and biology, and have worked with domestic and exotic species for most of my life. For dogs, I have worked in rescue and boarding situations. I have a wealth of experience in handling and managing behavioral challenges such as fear aggression, reactivity, and resource guarding. I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, and have been trained to administer all sorts of medications. Additionally, I have worked with puppies and adult dogs in behavioral training, and am more than capable to follow your routines for management. I have worked with all manner of cats, as well as medication administration and general husbandry. I am more than willing to discuss specifics, in the case your kitty has some special instructions. Even if they aren’t the most friendly to strangers, I’m willing to work with them. Reptile, amphibian, and aquatic care is also well within my capabilities. I have experience with a host of different species, and am always willing to discuss specifics. I want what is best for you and your pets, so let me know how I can set them up for success. My schedule changes, but I have general availability throughout the week. Your needs can be discussed and worked with to best fit both our schedules. I always want to set your pets up for success. Open communication and discussion about your pet’s needs is my utmost priority. I want them to be comfortable in my presence, and that starts at the door. Allow me to work with you on how best to care for your animals while they are in my care. Your animals will always be safe in my care, and never placed in an environment that would endanger them.

“Hunter has been absolutely amazing with our 12-week-old German Shepherd, Rocky! She’s a sassy puppy with lots of energy, and since Hunter started caring for her, we’ve seen such a positive change. She’s happier, more settled, and even less nippy—which says a lot at this stage! Hunter is patient, attentive, and clearly has a natural connection with dogs. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing Rocky is in such great hands. He keeps us updated and truly goes above and beyond in the care he provides. I can’t recommend Hunter enough. If you’re looking for someone you can trust with your pup, he’s the one. We’ll definitely continue booking with him!”

I’m currently a Full time emergency technician working 4 days a week leaving me quite a bit of free time thursday-Saturday and some availability in the morning throughout the week And I’d love to use my free time still doing what I love ! Unfortunately Im not able to board any pets at my home but Im happy to help pet sit in the comfort of their own homes as it’s much easier to make your pets happy and comfortable with their environment
“Ashley was amazing! This was my first time using Rover, and she made the experience so easy and stress-free. She was incredibly patient, caring, and loving with my dog, and it was clear she genuinely cared. She went above and beyond, kept me updated, and gave me complete peace of mind. I will definitely book with Ashley again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care!”

“Lottie did an amazing job watching our 2 cats while we went out of town. We got plenty of updates on them while we were away and the cats really seemed to love Lottie, even our shy guy. We will definitely book with Lottie again for any future trips.”

About: Hey there! I’m Celeste. Ever since I could remember, I’ve been surrounded by animals. Ranging from cats and dogs to farm animals. Personally, having 2 cats and a GSD of my own. I’m not short on experience with animals large and small and administering medication. It’s a stressful experience to leave our pets at home, and just as confusing for them. I wish to treat them with the same love and attention they get at home while they eagerly await your return. I’m currently an Animal Science student, soon to be graduate. I’m looking for a part-time, but in the meantime, I have a wide-availability up until late August. Available everyday unless stated otherwise. When you book with me, your pet will enjoy neighborhood walks, plenty of cuddle time on the couch, as well as any and all needs taken care of. I have a flexible schedule for the summer, which means your pet will rarely be left alone for long periods on the weekends.

“Viviana was simply the best! She went above and beyond to care for our cat while we were out of town. She even cared for my kids’ butterfly that happened to emerge while we were away! She was on time for each visit and sent lots of photos and updates on who our cat was doing. Will definitely book Viviana again!”

“Melanie is one of the best sitters we have had watch our doggies. She took the time to meet our dogs beforehand, and she was very respectful of our home. We will absolutely be using her again!”

About: I have been dog and cat sitting for friends and neighbors since college. I have done over night visits to stay with anxious pets who need a human to sleep by, drop ins for cats and dogs, and walked dogs. I am currently back home for summer break from medical school. I am available any hour of the day to feed, play, and walk your pet. I can only do house visits because I am staying at my family’s home. But I will make sure to follow your directions on how to properly take care of your pet.
“Shanise is definitely a reliable and knowledgeable person to care for animals. This review is for past 2 times we had Shanise sit our dog. Our dog Winston had surgery week before we were to go on a family vacation and she assured me , with her background, he would just fine… (she sent pictures and updates . gave medication, checked his wound and cleaned his cone and of course gave him cuddles and love every visitI. This current doggie care she once again came on her scheduled times and spent quality time with Winston, brushing him, outside time and giving him the attention he loves. She is my go to person, I can go on vacation and know Winston is okay🐾”

About: With over 20 years of experience taking care of dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities, I can promise that your pet will be left in capable and caring hands! I tailor my approach to each pet's unique routine and emotions to ensure that they feel safe, calm, and understood. I am currently free around the clock, seven days a week. Whether you need an early morning walk or a midnight check-in, I'm happy to make it happen! At the end of the day, your pet's safety and security is my top priority. Whether on a walk or boarding overnight, I ensure that all environments are secure and hazard-free.
About: We don't have any pets of our own, but have experience with taking care of cats/dogs for our friends, family, and now Rover clients! We only take one "family" at a time (up to 2 dog/cat siblings). I'm available during the week and on weekends to care for your dogs or cats. My fiancé and I both work from home, and are flexible to take breaks to walk or play with your pets! When boarding your pets, we can offer them plenty of love and attention! For dogs, we usually do at least 2 walks per day (we keep the afternoon ones short if it's too hot). We have a large fenced-in backyard and a few parks in walking distance. For cats, we love playing with them with wand toys or simple yarn, or putting some Cat TV on for them haha.
“Pam was great! I have a senior dog so sometimes I have to give really specific instructions and she follows them exactly! She provides updates and lets me know how everything went which eases my anxiety. Will definitely be booking with her again in the future”

“We have 2 very large and fast-growing puppies. Each week they are bigger and bigger. Johnina does so well with them! Even when our baby boy gets so excited he wants to jump up and give her kisses. Nina follows our directions exactly as we ask and she manages very well when we text her with a new routine we are working on with the pups. She sends up videos and pictures after every visit which is so fun and great to see! Nina also gives us a nice narrative after each visit. Nina is a regular visitor in our fur-babies lives. We can’t thank her enough for the great care she takes with each visit!”

“Words cannot express how grateful I am with Megan visit!! Not only I forgot to update my current address, I gave her a wrong house address ( my mistake cause I’m so stressed out from moving). She travelled approximately 20 miles from my old address, and I gave her a wrong address!! I have no words to express my gratitude how she worked extra miles for my dog! Her passionate and kindness for animal really shows during my experience! Thank you so much Megan!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - San Dimas
Our kitty’s love Stacy. When she came over to drop off the key, one met her at the front door and the other who was in my lap) started purring and meowed to her like she talks to us. This is our third time Stacy has watched our kitties for us and I will definitely hire her again. My kitties agree with me. She communicates well, sends photos of our kitties and I feel she is very trustworthy.

Stacey was a godsend. She gave my kitties their food and medicine as promised. She also gave them love. This was clear when I came home and found them happy and perky. She is a reliable, kind, responsible adult. I am so grateful to have found her and will for sure use her services again in the future.

We booked Skylar to care for our three cats for two weeks and she was on time for drop-ins and attentive during each session. She was respectful and able to adapt to each cat's personality, especially one of our high-energy cats, and gave them all plenty of pets and treats. Skylar brought in our mail and packages; kept our spaces clean, and even handled our bins for trash collection days. Will definitely book Skylar again in the future and highly recommend her!

We had Jamie look after our cat Winnie while we were away, and she was absolutely amazing! She did daily check-ins and provided us with sweet pictures of Winnie, which kept our minds at ease throughout our trip. Jamie’s love and care for our baby were evident, and we felt so comforted knowing she was in good hands. We highly recommend her and will definitely book her again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in San Dimas. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
