About: I am extremely passionate about animals. I have a background in animal behavior and biology, and have worked with domestic and exotic species for most of my life. For dogs, I have worked in rescue and boarding situations. I have a wealth of experience in handling and managing behavioral challenges such as fear aggression, reactivity, and resource guarding. My name is Valentina, I’ve been walking dogs for three years now in New York City with another app. I recently moved to California for Veterinary School and it will be my first time working with Rover! I’ve volunteered at dog shelters where I was in charge of walking and feeding them and also administered medications when needed. I’m currently in veterinary school so my availability is mostly during the weekends or afternoons after 5pm. But during the summer I’m open to any other day! I like to provide a clear picture of how the walk/ sitting is going and to make sure they can feel as close as possible to their pets while they are not with them. I like to let owners know when we are about to leave and then during a pause send them a picture during the walk but I would usually put my phone away until we go back just to be fully present during the walk. I always make sure they have clean water before I leave and to leave them with a treat or toy while I’m leaving just for positive reinforcement!

Our kitty’s love Stacy. When she came over to drop off the key, one met her at the front door and the other who was in my lap) started purring and meowed to her like she talks to us. This is our third time Stacy has watched our kitties for us and I will definitely hire her again. My kitties agree with me. She communicates well, sends photos of our kitties and I feel she is very trustworthy.
Stacey was a godsend. She gave my kitties their food and medicine as promised. She also gave them love. This was clear when I came home and found them happy and perky. We booked Skylar to care for our three cats for two weeks and she was on time for drop-ins and attentive during each session.
