“This is our first time using Rover and we have to admit that we are very satisfied with our puppy day care. Shelby and Scott are the sweetest people. Shelby sent many pictures updating us about Luna throughout the day. Luna looked so happy enjoying her time with the other pups. We would definitely book them again and would recommend leaving your pup with these amazing dog lovers❤️”

“Oi was very responsible and communicated well. I was grateful for the quick response. My dog also seemed to enjoy being at her house, feel relaxed & comfortable! Thank you very much for taking care of Bella 😊”

“Joyce has been flexible, understanding and patient with my last minute booking. She takes great care of Frankie and sends me such cute pics. I know Frankie’s in good hands and having a good day when she’s with Joyce. I can’t thank her enough.”

“Pamela was one of the BEST doggy daycare experiences we have had with our Milo! We booked her last minute due to a family emergency but were so happy we did! She was amazing in updating us throughout the day and really tailoring our doggos time with her. She gave him good playtime and a long walk. She new her stuff as a person who has been watching dogs for years! Honestly would book everytime with her if we could. She also does behavioral training for dogs. My wife and I loved working with Pamela today and HIGHLY recommend her for doggy daycare.”

About: Hello, I’m Krystal 👋🏼 I am so excited to meet your furry family members! Dogs have been a massive part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by them, and because my entire family still has dogs, I am constantly around them. Having previously owned a Doberman, I am entirely comfortable, confident, and experienced with large breeds and strong dogs, I love small dogs, too. From high-energy pups who need tons of exercise to sweet, gentle giants and tiny lapdogs, I am ready to handle dogs of all shapes, sizes, and energy levels. I promise to treat your beloved pet with the exact same love, patience, and care that I give to my own family’s dogs. I can't wait to give your pup a fun, safe, and happy experience. I work from home full-time, which gives me a highly flexible schedule. Because I am remote, your pet will have constant company, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Safety is my top priority. Growing up around dogs of all sizes and energies—including my own Doberman—means I know how to read dog body language and maintain a secure environment. My apartment has a patio in the back, your pet can catch some sun there if needed, too.

“Valerie has been phenomenal. She’s very reliable and Frankie loves her. I know she takes good care of Frankie because Frankie’s always happy to see her. She communicates well and makes sure that Frankie is taken care of according to Frankie’s regular routine.”

“Yu was a great dog sitter! His dogs got along well with my dog, he did walks around the neighborhood, and he took great pictures to show me throughout the day how my dog was doing so I can check in and feel assured that he was doing ok and happy. There was even a picture where my dog was happy playing in the grass under the sun in his backyard with his dogs with a smile on his face so I was really satisfied with his services. I will definitely book again. THANK YOU YU for taking great care of my son!”

“We absolutely love her!! Antoinette is awesome with my fur baby Dodger! He loves her, gets super excited to see her! It definitely makes my heart happy knowing that she's so good with him, and keeps him company while I am away at work. We currently have a weekly sitting schedule, love that there are other little ones there - this gives Dodger great opportunity to socialize too! We will definitely be loyal clients! Thank you for all you do Antoinette!”

“Morrissey was a happy pup playing and exploring. Highly recommend Jose and their family to care for your fur babies. And a huge shout out for them making for accommodating me due to a medical emergency I had. I could not pick up my pup and they were kind enough to bring him home to me. God bless 🙏”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Glendora
These folks are phenomenal!!! And my family and I mean that from the bottoms of our hearts. Not only were they kind enough to work Lola and Mollie in to their schedule but they ended up going above and beyond to work with Lola’s anxiety. I thought the reviews I read about them might have been a bit overstated but I was wrong, Kitti and company really are that good.

We had such a great experience leaving our dog here for daycare! From the moment we dropped her off, we felt completely at ease. They were so kind and attentive, and what really stood out was the regular photo updates throughout the day—it made such a difference being able to see our pup happy, and well cared for.

I needed a sitter for my 12 year old cattle dog, Kira when I was going to be away all day for my sister's baby shower. Pamela made time to meet with me prior to the date I needed her and I instantly got a sense that she knew what she was doing. That made me feel comfortable leaving Kira even though she hasn't had a sitter in many, many years. It is difficult to find a sitter who understands dog behavior and how to interact with dogs without overwhelming them. I felt confident in leaving Kira with Pamela. On the day of, Pamela kept me updated on Kira's day and everything they did together. I really appreciated the updates and pictures throughout the day. I would definitely recommend Pamela and I plan to have her watch Kira again in the future.

Tanya and her mom were amazing! Responded quickly and sent photo and video updates while they watched our pup. More importantly, Tanya and her family genuinely seemed to really love our pup which was so important to us. So glad we found a trustworthy sitter nearby! We will def reach out again.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
