About: Cats chose me. Eleven years ago, I found an abandoned kitten in a VW bus nestled in a cardboard box. I took him home. Took him to the vet the next day. And then made him a permanent member of my family. Two months later, half a dozen feral cats kept showing up on my roof. So I made a kitty-patio for them with beds, plants, food, and water. I fed these cats for 7 years until I had to move. In 2020, I found a very sick ginger tabby under my car. He was only 3 pounds and had feline herpes. I immediately took him to the vet and vowed to fight for him. He made it. And he is one of the joys of my life - Leroy. A very big boi now at 16 pounds of pure love and snuggles. All to say, I adore cats. But cats need to feel safe with you in their presence. A mutual trust needs to be formed, and I am patient in allowing that to happen. Then I will be giving them all the scratchies they want! I am 100% comfortable with all litter box emptying/cleaning/deep cleaning, feeding, brushing, trimming nails, and nose boops.

About: I work at a doggy daycare where I’m in charge of watching, playing, feeding, and bathing, many dogs. I have learned to act quick on my feet while still being proactive. I would prefer dogs who are kid friendly. About this sitter: My name is Tessa and I'm a stay-at-home mom of 3. I love animals and have 2 cats myself! I would love to make your dog a part of our family for the day or longer! Regarding my cats: I am able to keep my cats separate from your dog, if you are concerned about that. I think it’s best to keep them separate to avoid any issues. I put my cats in my primary bedroom upstairs along with all their stuff and they are perfectly fine! But if your dog is cat friendly, I don’t mind letting them interact a bit. My senior cat is just a little freaked out by high energy dogs but she calms down after a bit. My younger cat is probably more open to dogs, she’s very friendly and mellow. Either way, I’m happy to accommodate! I drop my 3 kids off at school Monday-Friday and I am done with that around 8:30am. I pick up my youngest at 1:40 and my middle child at 3pm. So I will have about 4 hours each day until pick up my youngest. I am also available most weekends. About: I think a little backstory helps: every pet I have is a rescue! Whether from the streets, a shelter, or the "animal distribution network," I seem to be the person random animals flock to for help. My home includes two dogs (a senior Australian Shepherd/Pit/Chow mix and a 3-year-old Chiweenie mix), two rescued cats living in the lap of luxury, and a bearded dragon I saved from under a bush last year. About: I currently have a Great Pyrenees and a tiny little Papillion/Chihuahua mix, both rescues, whom I love more than life itself. So when I say big or small, I mean it! My background is in the fitness industry so if your pup needs a longer walk than normal, I got you. I currently work part time and the hours are fairly flexible. This means I’m usually available at the last minute if something pops up or there’s an emergency I’m pretty detailed so I appreciate when owners leave a list or have specific requests.
