I work fully from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. I’m also very active — I’m a runner and yoga teacher — and I take multiple walks along the beach daily, so adding a dog to that routine would be a joy. Regular bathroom breaks, exercise, and quality time are never an issue with my schedule. Whether your pup needs lots of outdoor time or just some extra cuddles and attention during the day, I can easily adjust to their needs. I genuinely enjoy having a dog around and look forward to building a connection with each one I care for.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for a dog in my home or theirs, I make sure the space is completely dog-proofed — no food or harmful items within reach, trash secured, and any off-limits areas blocked off. I always do a quick sweep of the environment to remove potential hazards before the pet arrives or I begin my stay. I also take time to understand each pet’s specific needs and routines — from feeding schedules to preferred walking routes or quirks around other dogs. I never leave pets unsupervised in unfamiliar environments, and I’m mindful of keeping doors securely shut, leashes clipped properly, and making sure they're never out of sight on walks. My goal is to create a calm, safe, and cozy environment where pets feel at ease and pet parents feel confident their animals are in caring, capable hands.

Information Jessica G. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for your pet, I like to know as much as possible to make sure I can give them the best experience. Please let me know about their daily routine, energy level, and any quirks or preferences — like how they do on walks, if they get along with other dogs, or if they have any fears or triggers (like loud noises or skateboards). It’s also helpful to know if they’re crate-trained, take any medications, or have any dietary restrictions. The more I know upfront, the more comfortable and seamless I can make their time with me — and give you peace of mind while you’re away.
A typical day
A typical day includes plenty of walks, fresh air, and attention. I’m very active and love being outside, so dogs in my care can expect multiple walks throughout the day — whether it’s a beach stroll, a neighborhood loop, or a longer outing if they’re up for it. I also love incorporating playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of belly rubs and cuddles. If your dog has favorite toys, a special routine, or needs a little extra stimulation, I’m happy to customize our day together to make sure they feel happy, relaxed, and loved. Whether your pup prefers fetch, tug-of-war, or just laying at my feet while I work from home, I’m all about making them feel comfortable and cared for.

Pet care experience
I’ve been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember. I started volunteering at a local animal shelter in high school back in New Jersey, which gave me hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and temperaments. After moving to NYC, I worked with Social Tees Animal Rescue to foster multiple dogs in my apartment — each with their own personality, needs, and quirks. I loved the challenge and joy of helping them feel safe, loved, and ready for their forever homes. Now that I’m new to Orange County, I’m eager to get involved in the local animal rescue community and am actively researching nearby shelters. In the meantime, I’m hoping to fill the dog-shaped hole in my heart by caring for pups through Rover. I grew up with yellow labs and recently said goodbye to my family dogs, Bo and Luke, in New Jersey — so I know just how special that bond is and how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care.
Reviews

Jessica was great with our 6 month old puppy Wilbur! Even with his frequent bathroom breaks she gave him lots of attention and love. We really appreciated the pictures updates and communication throughout. We would be lucky to have Jessica take care of Wilbur again!

Jess was great and communicated often Cherry’s stay. Will definitely have Jess watch Cherry again!

Jessica is the best! Hudson loved his stay and can’t wait to return

Jessica was the best! She was up for the puppy energy with our 2 1/2 year old Golden Retriever. Sent updates and pictures daily to make us feel at ease and a couple funny stories. Bodie came back a happy camper, highly recommend and will definitely book with her again!!
