Availability

I work from home, so your dog won’t be left alone for long periods. They’ll receive consistent attention, regular potty breaks, supervised activity, and plenty of downtime throughout the day. I’m available for boarding on both weekdays and weekends, with drop-off and pickup times generally available after 8am. I do my best to keep your dog’s routine close to what they’re used to, including feeding times, potty schedule, walks, medication needs, crate preferences, and rest time, so they can stay comfortable and relaxed while they’re here.

Safety, trust & environment

I provide a safe, structured, and supervised environment at all times. I have a fenced yard for secure outdoor time, and dogs are never left unattended outside. Inside, I keep the space clean, calm, and controlled. I pay close attention to each dog’s behavior, energy level, and comfort, and I can crate or separate dogs when needed. Introductions are handled carefully, and dogs are only allowed to interact when their temperaments are compatible. My focus is on preventing issues before they happen while keeping every dog comfortable, safe, and cared for.

Information Chris W. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know about any special needs, medical conditions, medications, allergies, feeding instructions, anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding, escape attempts, leash behavior, crate preferences, or triggers I should be aware of. I’d also like to know your dog’s normal routine, energy level, comfort around other dogs, potty habits, and anything that helps them feel safe and settled. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can keep their stay structured, comfortable, and safe.

A typical day

A typical day depends on your dog’s age, energy level, routine, and comfort. I like to give dogs a healthy mix of exercise, structure, supervision, and downtime. For dogs who enjoy longer activity, I can take structured walks around the neighborhood or along the canal, usually adjusting the distance based on what they’re used to. For higher-energy dogs, I can also include supervised play, fetch, or frisbee in safe areas when appropriate and owner-approved. I also make sure dogs get regular potty breaks, fresh water, rest time, and calm indoor time throughout the day. My goal is to keep them active without overstimulating them, and to follow a routine that feels familiar and comfortable.

Pet care experience

I provide structured, reliable pet care in Costa Mesa with a focus on safety, calm supervision, exercise, and clear communication. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, including puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, high-energy dogs, and dogs who need a little more patience and structure. I work from home part-time with a flexible schedule, which allows me to give dogs consistent attention throughout the day. For boarding and daycare, I keep the environment calm, supervised, and routine-based. Dogs are introduced carefully, and group play only happens when temperaments are compatible. Your dog’s routine matters. I follow feeding instructions, medication needs, walk schedules, potty routines, crate preferences, and house rules as closely as possible. Treats, dog parks, beach trips, and off-leash activity are only done with owner approval. I also provide regular updates and photos so you know your dog is safe, comfortable, and being cared for properly. My goal is simple: give your dog a safe, active, home-style stay while giving you peace of mind.

Chris is the best dog sitter! My dog Bennett is a very high-energy 1-year-old Dalmatian, and he can definitely be a lot, so I’m always a little nervous about leaving him with just one person and potentially exhausting them. Chris (and Dallas) handled him like pros and seemed completely unfazed. He took Bennett to the dog park multiple times to burn off energy, played with him and the other dogs, helped him work through some snappy moments, fed him dinner, and even let him relax on the couch with him. Bennett had a great day and I would absolutely trust Chris with him again! 🐾 Thank you!

Chris was a great sitter for our dog Hudson. He was flexible, communicative and very friendly. He also has a lovely dog Dallas who got along with Hudson very well. Hudson always came back tired and happy 😊. Would recommend!
