“Rich, thank you so much for taking care of my cats while we were away this holiday. I loved that you always kept me updated, sent me pics, and was always on time, which was especially important since one of them is diabetic. You helped me feel comfortable that my cats were in good hands. Thank you for that. Merry Christmas! Susana”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fountain Valley
Nicholas was wonderful with Hazel! She can be a bit shy, and Nicholas arrived early to get her comfortable with him. I'm grateful for his patience with my girl in getting her to eat, potty, and take her meds! Nicholas sent lots of photos, update messages, and took his time with Hazel, and we're both so appreciative!

Hannah always goes beyond what's required not only did she spend extra time with our puppy she even helped when the puppy made a mess. He got into some old boxes and files she completely took the time and initiative to not only clean it all up but also move everything outside his play area since we were out of town!!! This was our first time booking a cat sitter through Rover, and Andrea made everything very easy for us. She was reliable and followed our instructions well. She sent us pictures during her check-in with our pet. We will definitely be rebooking Andrea in the future!

Amy went above and beyond for my senior cat. I reached out to her just hours before I had to leave for a last minute trip and she responded immediately. Throughout her care I received tons of pictures and videos. He was so happy and well cared for on my return. Such a great sitter and clearly cares about the pets she takes care of.

Sarah has been an amazing sitter for us! She's been flexible and accommodating to our cats as well our sitting needs. We looked forward to her wonderful drop in updates every day we were gone. She was even able to coax one of our more shy cats out of hiding for some pets! Highly recommend Sarah for your pet sitting needs!
Heather checked in on my kitties over my 4 day vacation and I could not be happier with how she took care of them. She was great with communication throughout and shared great photos/overview of each visit. Her experience with animals definitely shows in her interactions with pets and I feel truly at ease knowing my kitties are in great hands with her. :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
