“Sarah was the perfect fit for our needs. She did drop-in visits for our cat while we were on vacation for a week. She sent daily updates with a lot of photos which was appreciated. We will definitely request her services again.”

I work for myself with a small clothing business and I also care for my school age child and occasionally volunteer at the school. I also Trap-Neuter-Release feral cats in my neighborhood
“Kirsten is the most reliable Rover pet sitter I have ever used. She kept everything clean in the house for all my animals when I was gone. All my cats and dog loved her, and she was very thorough with her work. She made sure to mash my cats wet food, check all the water, clean litterboxes, handle my 75 lb shepherd mix, verify each cat was good, and also took some hilarious photos of them! I highly recommend her over other rovers. Thank you for all your hard work!”

“Emily was so good with Tushie, who was being "babysat" for the first time by a non-family member in 18 1/2 years. Emily was responsive and prompt, so easy to work with. 10/10 - highly recommend.”

“I brought my puppy to Anaheim with me when I was taking my daughter to Disneyland. Chelsea and Richard went above and beyond to make sure my puppy was taken care of. They took him on multiple walks and allowed him to play with so many toys. I could tell my puppy was really happy!! I will definitely be using their services again next time I go to Disneyland!”

“We had an excellent experience with Hannah! She took wonderful care of my cats while I was gone, making sure they were well fed and comfortable. It was clear she genuinely cared and treated them like her own. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter!”

“Jenna is truly amazing. This was my first experience with Rover and I couldn’t be happier and excited that I found her. She took care of my two cats for a week. I was very stressed about leaving since we have recently moved into a new place. She sent photos everyday, helped with the finicky litter robot and send picture updates everyday. She also helped me with a time sensitive package while I was gone. She is truly an awesome person and pet sitter. Wish I could give Jen more than 5 stars.”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for over 20 years, with 10+ years dedicated specifically to dogs. From tiny Chihuahuas to large, strong German Shepherds, I’ve worked with breeds of all sizes and temperaments. I’m also a lifelong cat owner and have cared for cats with a wide range of personalities, from playful and social to shy and reserved. I understand that each pet is unique, with their own quirks, needs, and routines, and I make it my priority to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in my care. Animals seem to sense my genuine affection right away, and most warm up to me quickly. I bring calm yet positive energy that helps even timid pets feel at ease. I treat every pet like my own, offering attentive, protective, and responsible care. Whether it’s providing enriching playtime, keeping up with special diets, or just offering extra cuddles, I go above and beyond to make sure your furry family member feels happy and secure while you’re away. As a music teacher, I currently work only three days a week, which gives me plenty of flexibility to devote to pet care. From Wednesday through Saturday, I have ample time and energy to focus on your pet’s needs whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company. My schedule allows me to give your furry friend the attention, consistency, and care they deserve. I primarily provide care in my client’s home, where pets can stay in their familiar environment and feel most comfortable. This helps reduce stress and maintain their normal routines. I follow your instructions closely, from feeding schedules to playtime and exercise, and always give extra love and attention. In certain cases, I can also care for pets in my own home, especially small dogs or cats. In my home, they will have a safe, clean, and comfortable space, along with plenty of affection, supervision, and enrichment.
“Nadine and her husband were so amazing with our special needs pups! They did drop in visits for us for 5 days while we were on vacation. They were on time, responsive and followed our instructions perfectly. They were also willing to help us out when we were in a tough spot when our flight got canceled on the way home. They gave us such peace of mind and provided the cutest pictures! Highly recommend!”

“Amyra recently stayed with my dog for a week while I went on vacation and I could tell from the pictures she sent me that he was happy and well taken care of. That was the first time I left him for that long and her updates really put my mind at ease. So much so, in fact, that I just rebooked her for drop-in visits while I was away from home for the entire day. I won't hesitate to book Amyra again if the need arises.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Garden Grove
I had a really good experience with Gloria. She was reliable, communicative, and took great care of my dog while I was away. She kept me updated, followed all the instructions I left, and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of. I really appreciated the attention and care she gave him, and it gave me peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. Gloria was also very kind and professional throughout the entire experience. I would definitely trust her to take care of my dog again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring sitter.

Tracy is an amazing sitter for both our two cats - a super friendly, energetic guy and a shy but curious girl. She’s patient and attentive and they loved her which gave us so much comfort while away. She followed all the instructions we left and we were so happy to find her!

Andrea went above and beyond for our two kitties. This was our first time leaving them for a longer period of time and Andrea communicated everything clearly and made us feel at ease with the updates and photos. I highly suggest her. She also got my cat who is afraid of everyone and everything to come out and play! She is truly a cat whisperer:)

I really appreciate her taking a last-minute reservation to check on Powder. She made sure Powder had everything she needed, including checking her food, water, and litter box. She was reliable, caring, and gave me peace of mind while I was away. Thank you so much for helping out on short notice!

Vivian did so well with my cats! She went above and beyond while caring for my cats while I was away, always keeping me updated each day. Really appreciate how clean the litter box was when I returned. She even emptied the trash can when it got too full with the litter. Very trustworthy and professional, definitely recommend her.

We would give 10 stars if I could! Our Annalie & Thi Ctook care of our two puppies for an entire week, and we couldn’t be more impressed. She was always on schedule, right on time, and kept everything running smoothly while we were away. When we got home, our dogs were in excellent condition—happy, well-adjusted, and clearly very well cared for. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and it shows in the way she treats the dogs. Don’t waste your time with anyone else—she is absolutely worth every penny. Highly, highly recommend!

This was my first time using rover and honestly I was super nervous. Those nerves went away so fast with Andrea. She asked a ton of follow up questions when meeting my cats to ensure she would be able to take care of them properly. That really eased my mind when I was leaving. During my trip she sent constant updates and pictures of the state of the kitties and my apartment. I was able rest easy knowing my cats and my apartment were in amazing shape. I am so incredibly grateful for Andrea's communication and care skills. If you need someone to take care of your pets with the same care you do Andrea will do just that

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
