Every creature deserves to be treated with respect, kindness and understanding, my pets are no exception. They’re my family, and I want them to have the best care possible - good snacks, plenty of love and affection, physical and mental exercise, and consistent rules and expectations. When I watch other people’s pets, I want to ensure that they feel loved, cared for and safe - whether that looks like cuddling up and being cozy or simply keeping my distance and sharing in the same space with them while I take care of them.

Please let me know what your pets dietary needs, allergies, or medications are ahead of time. If there are specific routines, verbal cues, or any quirks or reactions (e.g. back legs and paws don’t like to be touched) that your pet has, I would appreciate knowing those so I can be mindful and accommodate them.
A typical day
Consistency is great, animals love knowing what to expect, and people are often no different. When checking in on pets, I will come in and give them a visual once over - what’s their body language saying? Are their eyes clear and bright? Do they seem lethargic or low energy? As long as they seem to be in good health, I’ll usually give them approved snacks (bribery in this instance is a good thing) and make sure their basic needs are taken care of: water, food, bathroom access and cleanliness. As great as consistency is, variety is the spice of life, so play and exercise’ll be varied - bored pets are naughty pets and we can’t have that!

I was that kid at the family party that asks to see your pets and hangs out with them the rest of the night. I’ve grown up around cats, dogs and various other pets. I trained my family dogs from puppies, and have experience working with both small and large breeds. My family had a German Shorthair Pointer with epilepsy that started after he turned 4. To manage it, I helped administer medication every 12 hours for 8 years. I am familiar with administering oral medications.

Katie has loved animals as long as I have known her. She has helped take care of our pets many times when we go out of town. It is a comfort to know that someone who cares about our pets and can be counted on will be there when we can not. We have 2 pets (dog and cat) with special needs that must have medication twice a day and she is willing to come take care of them. Of course they love her spending time with them, walking and throwing the ball or simply cuddling together in the couch. I am so glad to be able to use her services whenever needed.
