Devenee was so wonderful and she was able to win my cat over very quickly despite my cat being super shy to new people. The photos she sent of my cat are some of my favorites of her now. I'll be rebooking with her for future travels as long as she is available to watch my cat.

About: Dog dad to Benji, my 4.5-year-old Cocker Spaniel and best buddy. Also sat for a Pitbull and grew up with a Maltese Poodle — I've loved dogs my whole life. On summer break, so I'm home full-time. Daily walks, play, belly rubs, and photo updates. I'll follow your routine and love your dog like my own. I'm currently on summer break before my CNA program starts, so pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine. I'm home full-time and available throughout the day for walks, playtime, potty breaks, and cuddles. Your dog gets constant companionship, not just drop-in visits. I treat every client's home with respect. I clean up after myself, follow your house rules, and make sure your dog is safe and comfortable at all times. I'm attentive to food allergies, dietary restrictions, and any quirks your dog has. I always use secure leashes and harnesses during walks and keep your dog's routine consistent so they feel at ease while you're away. I send daily photo updates for peace of mind.

About: I have been volunteering at an animal shelter since I was 15, where I walked, fed, cleaned, and played with both dogs and cats every week. Through this experience, I became comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, sizes, energy levels, and needs. I’ve also pet sat and walked many dogs for friends, family, and neighbors, and I always make sure animals feel safe, cared for, and loved while their owners are away. I am currently a full-time student at UCLA, but I usually only have one class a day so I have a lot of free time to take care of your pets! I am available for walking everyday, and available for drop-ins everyday except Tuesday and Wednesday. When caring for pets in their homes, I focus on keeping their routines consistent so they feel comfortable and secure. I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while also keeping their space clean and respecting each owner’s instructions and preferences.

About: Being around animals is a big part of who I am. I started getting real experience pretty young, working at an animal hospital when I was 14, which taught me a lot about how to properly care for pets and pay attention to their needs. Since then, I’ve helped deliver and care for over four litters of puppies (32 in total!) so I’m very comfortable with dogs at all stages. I also have experience caring for older dogs and understand that they often need a little extra patience, attention, and gentle care. I make sure every pet I watch feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I live in a clean, friendly neighborhood with a really active and welcoming community, so it’s a great environment for dogs. Taking care of animals is something I genuinely enjoy. I offer in home daycare and ask that owners handle drop off and pick up at my location:) Pet care fits really well into my routine. I’m home throughout the week and my job is flexible, so I have plenty of time to be around pets during the day. I’m able to adjust my schedule easily when needed and give pets consistent attention and care. I’m a clean, respectful, and easygoing person, and I make sure pets feel safe and comfortable wherever they are. I pay attention to their routine, keep things calm, and treat every home with care and respect. I also have a fenced backyard where pets can safely spend time outside.

About: I will take care of your fur baby as one of my own. We have a yard that is fenced in and dog friendly. Your dog will be top priority, and will be the only dog I care for at that time of sitting besides my Frenchy. I know how important and uneasy it is to leave your fur baby. Rest assured, that they will be cared for as if you were here. I am in and out all day long and dogs have access to backyard to sunbathe and potty breaks.. I’m in and out of the house during the day. I do pick up and drop offs at school so dogs can enjoy car rides if suitable.. The dogs won’t be left alone longer than 2.5 hours and will have access to the backyard to sun bathe and potty breaks at all times. Your fur baby will have a companion to enjoy each other’s company. Your pet will have access to the back yard at all times to sunbathe and potty breaks. Yard is completely safe and secured. I make sure your dog is comfortable and well loved 🥰.

Lily was great! Was able to step in on short notice. Our Taco is a little nervous around new people and Lily's energy was great and he was able to warm up to her while our family was away on vacation. We highly recommend Lily to anyone, and would certainly have her come check on our pets if the need would ever arise again. Thanks, Lily and Rover.com!

I very pleased with Elizabeth’s kindness and attentiveness! I am beyond neurotic when it comes to my fur babies lol and I have incredibly high expectation of their care and safety - They are my children. I found Elizabeth’s profile and although it’s always nerve wracking to entrust someone with your “kids” you just met, I had a good feeling about her in our messages. we arranged a meet and greet prior to our first Christmas Day evening visit and she was just wonderful. She listened closely to their routine at our meet and greet, and was very sweet and personable. She sent many photos during their Christmas Day visit which is always appreciated; She coaxed our pup who is a picky eater to eat more of his dinner which was a win and our very shy young cat even came out to say hi to her which never happens! I had notated in their care notes to stay in well lit areas on the walk with our pup due to coyotes and I could tell from the photos and map in rover she did exactly that- It means the world that she paid attention and customized their visit with our requests. I can tell She has a kind heart for animals and I am grateful we found her. We came home that night to two happy, well fed and content babies- already planning their next visit with her in January. Thank you Elizabeth!

About: I’ve grown up with cats and have one myself. I live in Costa Mesa and work from home. I’m able to stop by whenever and wherever for a quick visit or longer stay. For overnights, I prefer to meet briefly over video before the day arrives. I work from home Monday through Friday at 8 AM to 4 PM but I can also stop in for lunchtime if you are nearby. If you’d like me to come for a longer stay, then I can bring my laptop and work from your apartment so that your pet has some company for a longer period of time. I love pets and I can provide lots of flexibility to you when it comes to cancellation and last-minute bookings. I am so appreciative of your trust and will treat your loved ones as if they were my own. I could not live my life without pets- the mutual love and support they provide and supported me my whole life. I am so happy to find this service where I can conveniently check in on loved pets easily with my flexible schedule. I’m typically open to saying a bit longer than the allotted time if able. I am open to sharing cat food so please let me know if you need some and I will bring it. :)

About: Hi! I'm Ashley, a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I've been walking and dog-sitting for friends, family, and neighbors since I was 12, but recently moved to Orange County and would love to meet some new furry friends in the area! ☀️ I grew up surrounded by dogs ranging from a tiny Yorkie to a Chocolate Lab, so I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. I've also been a volunteer with Priceless Pets since 2016, helping care for their dogs and bringing them to community events to help them find their forever homes. As a project manager by day, I'm naturally reliable, organized, and communicative. I know pets are family, and I treat every dog I care for like they're my own! Looking forward to meeting you and your pup 🐶🤎 I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout the week, and I'm fully available on weekends. Whether your dog needs a quick lunchtime walk, some company during the day, or a longer morning adventure, I'd be happy to help. I'm usually out getting my steps in anyway, so bringing a pup along is a win-win! I'll always take the time to make sure your pet feels comfortable and gets to know me at their own pace. Whether they're energetic and ready to play or a little shy at first, I'll adapt to their needs to help them feel safe and secure. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I'll keep you updated with photos, videos, and messages throughout our time together. You'll never have to wonder how your pup is doing - my goal is for both you and your pet to feel completely comfortable, confident, and cared for from our first meeting!

About: Dog mom to a 7 yr old golden retriever and active therapy dog volunteer. Years of experience pet sitting and a lifelong love of dogs. I work full remote Monday-Friday. I also live an active lifestyle outside of work hours, consisting of multiple walks daily, frequent hikes, beach trips, and trips to the dog park. A typical day with my own dog consists of a morning walk/breakfast and a lunch time walk. After work, we like to get our exercise in by going for a hike, long walk, fetch, dog park, beach, etc. Then come home for dinner and cuddles. Since I work from home in a small apartment, I am always aware and attentive to what is going on. I have a dog of my own, so frequent walks and potty breaks for him are built into my work schedule. I have an extremely flexible work schedule, making me always available for your pets needs.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of every age and personality, but the seniors and medical-needs ones have truly changed my heart. I understand the patience and gentleness they need from giving medications to helping them feel safe and loved again. I’ve also worked with puppies, helping them build confidence and learn good habits early on. Whether it’s a playful pup or a senior soul, I make sure each dog feels like they belong and are cared for as if they were my I’m own. I work from home most of the month so I am able to care for my dogs and a few special need dogs. I have cared for dogs with multiple health issues such as diabetes, heart issues, cancer, kidney issues and more. I can help give medications, insulin or any other special needs. I treat every pet like my own. At my home, they have a large yard to play and explore safely, and plenty of cozy spots to relax. My dogs love to cuddle, so there’s always lots of affection and comfort. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or at a client’s, I make sure they feel loved, secure, and part of the family.

About: I grew up with St Bernard’s and Labs, so big dogs are no sweat! But I’ve also had the pleasure of having small dogs and cats throughout my life, making me an excellent, versatile choice. Hairstylist by day, pet sitter also by day. And night! I make my own schedule, so I can give extra care to your sweet babies! Whilst I don’t offer boarding, I do lead with a safety first mindset. I avoid leash greets, and overall focus on preemptively stopping any issues. Your and your pets comfort and safety are my top priorities!

I could tell Snowbie loved his drop-in because in his photo, he was doing his silly little run in the backyard like when I take him out. Completely unfazed by the new face! Zhe refilled his water bowl dispenser and made sure the AC was on as I requested... it's so hot lately, our dogs need all the care they can get. I really appreciate Zhe for taking the extra steps to take care of Snowbie!

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
