I started house/pet sitting for friends and family years ago and fell in love with it. I even have experience with amphibians and horses too. I also have experience training my own dogs and will happily follow rules for how you want your pets to be trained and treated while in your home. I love all animals and want to hang out with yours! I work from home, so house sitting would consist of me spending the entire time with your pup while I work part-time from home. I can keep up with their feeding/walking schedule you provide me and will communicate with photos and updates, so you don’t miss your furry ones TOO much. I like to keep up with their usual schedule, so you can come back to your same pup/kitty that you left in my care.

I work remotely so I have the freedom to work from any location, which is why sitting at your home where your pet feels most comfortable is no problem. I can take breaks as often as needed for walks or play. I will also leave your home in the same clean condition you leave it. I’ve been an avid house sitter and Airbnb’er(since 2010) and have always left my places in a respectable manner. If there is any additional care that you would like to have me carry out, such as watering plants, mail collection, or putting sheets in the washer before I leave, just let me know and I’ll be happy to oblige.

What will make your dog or cat the most comfortable and relaxed? I like to make sure that your animals will feel at home in their own home. Animals warm up to me pretty quickly! Insider tips and tricks always help, so it’s like you never left. Meet and Greets will consist of walk through of their routine, mannerisms, concerns, and where their belongings are kept. Any notes that can be left during my stay are welcomed. The more details I have, the more I can follow their care to a T (with minimal errors: I am human after all). I go through each day of the stay referring to these lists to ensure nothing is left out for their care. Reminders are always welcome though but I pride myself on being proactive(I do my best).
A typical day
I love playing fetch and getting dogs to do zoomies in big open areas! I can usually last as long as the dogs and will work them depending on their energy level and care instructions until I feel comfortable. With kitties, I am extra careful depending on if they are indoor, outdoor, or a hybrid. I am vigilant with indoor cats and know the many ways that cats can try to get through entry ways! I am flexible and adapt to the animals in my care. I believe that animals are great communicators and are great at training us for their needs to. I am mainly in Corona Del Mar and take walks to the beach and around CDM. If you see my location in a different city from this, it is most likely because I am visiting your area for a duration and am available for house sitting. I have House sat in different countries, and all over the US including Nevada, New York, and Washington.

**Update to current clients** I am available for all your booked house sits for the year and will honor all our bookings of course. Currently, not taking on new house sit dates due to family obligations and life change though. I would absolutely love to walk your dog, love on them, and care for them through walks and/or drop-ins. If you are new here, I primarily did house sitting and was amazing at it. I love animals so much and all my beautiful and friendly clients in Newport. Unfortunately, I do need to take a break and focus on my human loved ones now. I will miss house sitting as much as often as I do now but I am available for all your dog walking and dog or cat drop-in needs. Old bio below to learn more about me if you are seeing my profile for the first time: Hi fellow animals lovers! I am Roxy and I would love to spend time hanging out with your pets! I love traveling but that makes it difficult to have pets of my own at the moment so instead I want to temporarily adopt yours. I have traveled all over the US and to many other countries. Currently I am located in Southern California and try to pepper in little local and out of state trips here and there as much as I can. My partner, Eddie, works for an electric boat company in LA County and will join me for all the sits. Sometimes, he will be watching pups at a different house if he gets booked for the weekend. He is on my personal pet care insurance for emergencies and he loves animals as much as I do and also has experience with dogs, cats, reptiles, and horses. Your pets will get double the love when you book us!

Roxanne took amazing care of our two GSDs, walking them twice daily, playing ball, and staying with them. We truly appreciate the care and the time she spent with our boys as they experience separation anxiety. My husband commented on how clean the house was and that Roxanne took extra care to put the bed sheets in the washer. Our dogs really liked her, and we appreciated the daily updates.
Roxanne was very reliable and met a day early to get accustomed to our dogs which I really appreciated.
Roxanne was able to help with my pup on super short notice while we were away, which we really appreciated. She was very responsive and replied right away to messages. We loved getting updates and photos during her visits—it gave us great peace of mind. We’ll definitely be reaching out to her again next time we’re in town!
