About: I’ve been lucky to have dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, so they’ve always had a special place in my heart. A few years ago I became a cat mom to two Bengals, and they completely converted me into a cat person too! Having loved both dogs and cats, I know how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pets like they’re family. Whether your furry friend loves playtime, cuddles, long walks, or just a calm, comforting presence, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! 🐶🐱✨ I work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility with my schedule. This allows me to easily adjust my availability as needed and accommodate around your needs. I’ll make sure your pets get plenty of playtime and attention, so they feel loved and engaged. I'll also ensure they are always fed on time with the right food, and their living environment will be kept clean and well-maintained, so they stay comfortable and healthy!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 15 years and have experience with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. I’m comfortable with daily walks, playtime, feeding, medications, and providing plenty of companionship and affection. I’ve cared for pets for friends, neighbors, and family over the years, and I understand how important it is to have someone you can truly trust with your dog. I’m reliable, attentive, and will always treat your pet with the same love and care I’d give my own. I mainly work from home during the week, which gives me plenty of flexibility to fit pet care into my daily routine. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits throughout the week, as well as more flexible care and overnight stays on weekends. Since I’m home most of the day, I can give your pet plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I’ll treat your pet like my own and make sure they get plenty of attention and affection while keeping you updated along the way.

About: Hello! My name is Thomas and I'm a long time dog owner. Having grown up with dogs, I'm happy to take care of yours as needed. Having graduated from USC two years ago, I am fortunate enough to be in a position where I can work remotely. Throughout the day I often take walks around the peninsula/seashore to get a break from work. I work remotely so I often find myself walking outside to get fresh air as needed. Let me know how I can fit into your schedule! My family has owned a couple different dogs in my lifetime! Happy to help out as needed / provide specific care. I am no stranger to working with dogs who require a certain routine / diet.

About: Since the day I started talking, all I did was ask my parents for a dog. When I turned 9, that dream came true. Buddy was not just a dog, he was an essential part of our family. For fifteen wonderful years we created special memories, inside jokes, nicknames, and an unconditional love from not only us to him but from him to us. In his final years Buddy developed dementia, senior care was never something I had ever put much thought in to. As unfortunate as it is our babies won’t outlive us, giving them the absolute best and most comfortable lives we possibly can is so important. Being a child myself when Buddy came in to our lives, I have true experience with seeing a dog from their first and best days, all the way to the end. These fur babies are just that, our babies, and trusting a stranger with your baby is no small thing! The importance of being not only safe, but loving and kind is something I can always guarantee. The hole that has been left since Buddy left us feels just that much smaller when I get to be around another furry friend 🤍 I work a pretty flexible schedule, I waitress in Newport Beach and am in training to be a Pilates instructor as well. While my schedule does tend to vary, I’m usually in the restaurant Sunday-Wednesday nights with Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays completely off! I live in an apartment, however it is walking distance from the beach and other walking trails. I was raised to leave a place nicer than when you arrived, and between that and my clean freak gene your space will be in good hands! The more instruction for your dog’s routine and information on what will make them happy the better.

About: Dog mom to a 7 yr old golden retriever and active therapy dog volunteer. Years of experience pet sitting and a lifelong love of dogs. I work full remote Monday-Friday. I also live an active lifestyle outside of work hours, consisting of multiple walks daily, frequent hikes, beach trips, and trips to the dog park. A typical day with my own dog consists of a morning walk/breakfast and a lunch time walk. After work, we like to get our exercise in by going for a hike, long walk, fetch, dog park, beach, etc. Then come home for dinner and cuddles. Since I work from home in a small apartment, I am always aware and attentive to what is going on. I have a dog of my own, so frequent walks and potty breaks for him are built into my work schedule. I have an extremely flexible work schedule, making me always available for your pets needs.

About: I've been pet sitting for over 4 years now here on Rover but also through Trusted House Sitters. I'm an absolute animal lover and will care for your house and fur babies as if they were my own! I do have my own dog, Jax, but he is staying with my parents at the moment as I've had to relocate due to a water leak in my condo. So, I would love to help a family with their pet sitting needs in the meantime! I work from home full time so your pets would get a lot of care and attention. I like to go for walks often but can tend to your dogs (or cats) needs. Since I work from home my schedule is very flexible and I can cater to your pets needs! If they like to walk and play often I am happy to do so. I genuinely love spending time with animals so they will get a lot of care, love, and attention.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Newport Beach on Rover is $25.53 per visit (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 9,436 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Newport Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Newport Beach stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Newport Beach. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
