About: Animal lover for life! Growing up with cats and dogs gave me an early foundation in animal care and communication (the non-psychic kind 😄). For the past three years, I've volunteered with Guide Dogs of America, socializing and training puppies from 4 to 8 weeks old. This work has deepened my understanding of dog behavior, development, and trust-building from the very earliest stages of life. Cats hold a special place in my heart too. Years of living with them taught me how to read feline body language, respect their independence, and create a calm space where they can be comfortable. Friends and family turn to me as their go-to sitter, and I bring that same dependable, loving care to every animal I meet. I come to your home, keeping your pet in their own familiar environment so they stay relaxed, comfortable, and stress-free while you're away. As a yoga and piano teacher, my schedule gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the week. I have two dedicated teaching days where my availability is limited, but the rest of the week I have generous windows of free time- perfect for popping in, spending quality time with your pet, and making sure they feel loved. Since I provide in-home sitting, your pet stays in their own familiar environment the entire time. I follow your established routines: feeding schedules, walk times, sleep spots, and any special instructions you leave. I treat every home with respect and keep safety a top priority, making sure gates, doors, and any pet-proofing measures stay in place throughout my visit. Your pet's comfort and security always come first.

About: I have owned many animals my whole lifee, so I have plenty of experience with animal care. I’ve pet sat for many neighbours as well as family and friends on multiple occasions and absolutely enjoy spending time with animals of all kinds!! :)) I am available all days of the week for long or quick check ins, walks, or watching your pet in my own home. I do work a couple days during the week, though each shift Is only about 6 hours but my roommate would be home that is also Rover certified!! I have a fenced in dog park in my apartment complex that is often empty. So your dog would have that all to themselvess. And I do have two very friendly kitties living with us.

About: I’ve always had pets growing up and have always pet sat for neighbors and friends. I always stick to your pets scheduled routine. I also genuinely love to spend time with pets other than mine. 😊 I’m currently a full time student at csulb studying Biochem, so I have Fridays and weekends pretty much free! I do however have some gaps in between classes that I could squeeze in pet drop ins. My pets along with clients pets usually stick to or have a schedule that I always like to follow as I find this creates the most amount of comfort for them especially while their parent is away. I love to spend time with pets especially now that I am away from my pets back home for college.

About: I’ve been dog sitting since I was 16 for friends, family, and online clients, and I genuinely love being around animals. I’m responsible, respectful, and very attentive to each pet’s routine and personality. I know trusting someone with your pet — and sometimes your home — is a big deal, so I always make communication and reliability a priority. I’m happy to send plenty of updates and photos, follow any instructions you leave, and make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable while you’re away. Whether they love walks, playtime, or just hanging out, I’ll treat your pet with the same care and attention I’d want for my own. I’m a college student with a pretty flexible schedule, and I have my own car, so getting back and forth for pet care is never an issue. I’m always willing to make the trip to make sure your pet gets the attention, walks, feeding, and care they need. I also work part-time, but my shifts are typically only 3–4 hours, so I’m never away for long periods of time. I’m great at planning around my classes and work schedule and making pet care a priority! Safety, Trust & Environment I always try to keep pets as close to their normal routine as possible so they feel comfortable and safe. I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and care instructions closely, and I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection based on their personality! When I’m in a client’s home, I’m also very respectful of their space and make sure everything is kept clean and secure. I’ll always communicate clearly, send updates and photos, and make sure you feel confident that both your pet and your home are being well taken care of!

Carrie did a great job taking care of our pup! We had a last-minute need and she was able to come by the evening beforehand and do a meet and greet, then come visit with Luna today at lunch. Although our dog is still getting comfortable with new people, he warmed up to Carrie and played a bit in the backyard. I'm sure I will request help again in the future (but hopefully, with a bit more lead time). Thanks Carrie!

Soleil was AMAZING, and I genuinely cannot recommend her enough! She took such wonderful care of Lemon while I was away at a conference, and I never had to worry for a second. She was reliable, communicative, incredibly sweet with Lemon, and just made the whole experience so easy. She also went so far above and beyond what I asked her to do. I came home and realized she had cleaned my cat’s litter box AND taken out the trash—neither of which was remotely part of our arrangement! It was such a thoughtful surprise after a long trip, and honestly just says so much about the kind of person she is. I came home to happy pets and a home that had clearly been really cared for, which is about the best feeling you can have after traveling. Soleil is kind, thoughtful, dependable, and an absolute gem. I would hire her again in a heartbeat and would recommend her to basically anyone who will listen. Lemon and I are officially huge Soleil fans!

About: Hello Rover friends, I am officially a Rover sitter. To all who know me the animal kingdom has been my world ever since I was a little girl. I guarantee your pet will have a forever friend and unconditional love. They are always priority when they are with me. What truly sets me apart is the depth of my hands-on experience and dedication to animal welfare. For over 30 years, I’ve been actively involved with rescue organizations—fostering dogs, volunteering at adoption events, and conducting home inspections to ensure safe placements. I also work closely with shelters to evaluate a dog’s behavior and temperament, helping rescues understand which environments each dog will thrive in. One of the most rewarding experiences of my life was raising orphaned newborn puppies—feeding them around the clock, keeping them warm, and nurturing them into strong, healthy companions. That level of care, patience, and love is something I bring to every animal I look after. I specialize in:    •   🍼 Newborn & orphaned puppy care    •   🐾 Puppy training support * Animal CPR    •   🐶 Senior pet care    •   🐕 Rescue & trauma-informed handling    •   💊 Medication administration (oral/topical)    •   🐈 Cat care & companionship    •   🐴 Comfortable around horses    •   🏠 Multi-pet household management    •   📋 Shelter temperament assessments & home checks Every pet has a story, and I’m here to be the calm, loving chapter when you can’t be there. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine—it’s what I truly love to do! I structure my days around the animals I care for, whether it’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or overnight stays. I have dedicated my life volunteering in Animal Welfare. I like to consider myself as the neighborhood dog whisper. There hasn't been a dog that I cant handle. With my flexible schedule and home-based work, I’m able to be fully available for your pet’s needs throughout the day and night. I’m available weekdays and weekends, including holidays, and I can accommodate a wide range of routines—whether your pet is high-energy and active or needs calm, consistent care. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I treat them like family and ensure they’re comfortable, secure, and loved every step of the way. In your home, I respect your space and routines. I carefully follow your instructions, maintain your pet’s feeding, walking, and medication schedules, and provide updates so you feel confident and informed while you’re away. I also understand how to read animal behavior, especially in rescue or sensitive pets, so I approach every situation calmly and with care. In my home, pets are welcomed into a calm, pet-friendly environment. I keep a clean, safe space with no hazards or stressors, and I always monitor interactions closely. I never leave pets unattended outside, and I make sure each animal has their own space to rest, relax, and feel at home. With over 30 years of hands-on experience—including rescue fostering, behavior assessments, and newborn puppy care—I provide a loving, trustworthy, and safe experience every time.

About: I've been around dogs my entire life and have over a year of hands-on pet sitting experience caring for my sister's two large, high-energy dogs. They are Husky/German Shepherd mixes (one also has Malamute and Wolf ancestry) and require consistent structure, exercise, and attention. I'm comfortable following strict feeding, potty, walking, and medication schedules, maintaining routines, and providing plenty of playtime and enrichment. Having cared for large, energetic breeds, I'm confident handling dogs with strong personalities and high exercise needs while ensuring they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply wants companionship, I'll treat them with the same care and attention I'd give my own pets. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, allowing me to spend plenty of quality time with your pets throughout the day. Whether your pet needs company while you're away, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, or simply someone to keep them comfortable, I can easily fit their routine into my workday. I'm available for house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, and I'm committed to following your pet's schedule to help them feel happy, safe, and stress-free. Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I believe every pet deserves patient, attentive care, and I'll treat yours as if they were my own. Having cared for dogs my entire life—including regularly watching my sister's two large, high-energy Husky/German Shepherd mixes—I understand the importance of consistency, exercise, and positive attention. About: Hello! I adore animals of all kinds and have always seen my pets as part of my family. I've had years of experience with several sweet cats and dogs of my own. We've always rescued and found the best furry friends. For the last 10 years, I've cared for 2 sweet labs next door with frequent walks, meals, tuck-in service (bedtime kongs), and general cuddle puddles 4 days a week. I cat and dog sit for several neighbors and family members and have been doing so consistently for the last 12 years. My home is "beach cozy" (translation: small), so it's best suited for all cats and small-medium-sized dogs that enjoy getting out for walks. If you have a senior dog or cat that needs extra TLC or a quieter home, no kids, no other pets, and all the attention is on them, I am happy to provide a safe, comfy space! I work from home most days and have plenty of time to dedicate to pet, potty, and play breaks! I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate most pet needs. I have experience with administering medication and daily IV fluids. I got very comfortable caring for my senior CKD kitty for over a year. Anything to make life better for these sweet souls I'm willing to do! I am a thoughtful and caring pet sitter and will take care of your fur friends like family!

About: I manage a small pet care and training business. My goal as a pet caregiver is your pet’s safety: through attention to detail in their environment, diet, and play time experiences; trust: through positive reinforcement, building rapport, and respecting their boundaries; comfort: reduce your pet’s anxiety by exercise, mental stimulation, keeping their typical routine, and love. I aim to combine these to create the ultimate sitting/walking experience. I manage a small business that specializes in vip boarding. I spend my days training, walking, and sitting man’s best friend. Pet’s ARE my daily and weekly routine. My goal as your sitter/walker is to love your pet as you do, by providing a safe home/yard. Following your directions to house rules and diet. Having fun safe walks by always anticipating potential triggers. I will take care of your pet as if he/she were my own.

Maddy followed through with everything we asked. Reptar is a little jerk to new people sometimes but she was able to get him to come out, play a little, and become friends with him by the end of his care. He didn’t have any accidents when I came home which is the best thing I could ask for since he’s likes to when I’m out of town to make me know he’s mad with a stranger. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
