“Carissa is super sweet and took such great care of my pups! She was incredibly communicative and sent wonderful updates so I was never worried while I was away. Thank you Carissa!”

“Tessa took care of our cat Olivia for a couple of weeks while we were on vacation. She came in to visit and care of Olivia once a day. She was absolutely fantastic. She provided daily updates with photos to us. It was clear that Olivia adored Tessa and could not wait for her daily cuddles. Tessa is a kind and warm person who loves animals. About: I have always had an immense passion for animals ever since I was a young girl. I’ve owned different pets in my life including dogs, cats, birds, fishes, spiders etc. As I got older, I wanted to extend my career working with animals and worked at different animal hospitals and specialties. I care for all kinds of pets including young babies to lovely senior pets. Working with animals was the best decision I’ve ever made. I have plenty of experience and knowledge. I hope to hear from you soon and can’t wait to meet your pets! I am available daily including weekends and holidays. My schedule is very flexible at the moment so I can tend to each and every one of your pets needs. I will respect your space and make sure your pet is happy. I know how important both your home and pet are to you. I provide a very loving environment for your pet and plenty of reassurance that both are safe in my hands. 💛

About: I grew up with pets my entire life. As a kid, we had four dogs in the house at once. A lab/pitbull, a German Sheppard, a boarder collie, and a chihuahua. At 21, I took in a pregnant cat who later had 4 kittens. I got them into a foster program and was later able to adopt the mom back. She had been with me for the past four years. I grew up with pets my entire life, and I love being around them! I am responsible, trustworthy and excited to work with you and your pets! I currently am going to school and looking to start going down to part time work to help my schedule. For the time being, weekends may be best for me! Once I am fully part-time, I will be viable during the days and weekends! My pets safety and happiness comes first in all my decisions. Dinner is on a strict schedule and I make sure that everything in my home is safe for her. I know the fear of leaving your pet with someone else, and because of that I want to make sure that I am the kind of pet sitter I would feel safe leaving mine with.
About: I’ve been lucky enough to raise 2 Labradors and a Ragdoll cat from little babies to their senior years. Each of them had a very different personality, which taught me how to understand and care for pets based on their individual needs. I currently have a cat of my own and absolutely love being around animals. I’ll care for your pets with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. 🐶🐱❤️ I work full-time, but I have a flexible schedule for pet care. I’m fully available on Mondays and Tuesdays, and on my other days, I’m available before or after work. I’m happy to work around each pet’s routine and make sure they receive plenty of care, attention, and love. 🐾❤️ I always prioritize safety, comfort, cleanliness, and trust. I’m very detail-oriented when it comes to cleanliness and hygiene, so I make sure pets have a clean, healthy, and comfortable environment. I carefully follow each pet’s routine and individual needs, especially for shy or sensitive pets. In my client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and always keep things clean and secure. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. 🐾❤️
About: I think a little backstory helps: every pet I have is a rescue! Whether from the streets, a shelter, or the "animal distribution network," I seem to be the person random animals flock to for help. My home includes two dogs (a senior Australian Shepherd/Pit/Chow mix and a 3-year-old Chiweenie mix), two rescued cats living in the lap of luxury, and a bearded dragon I saved from under a bush last year. My 5 babies all adore each other and love a giant cuddle party! I’ve been around dogs and cats since I was 6 years old in multi-pet households, so I’m comfortable with all ages, breeds, and life stages. My Approach to Care: - Patient & Animal-Led: I let pets guide our interactions and get comfortable with me at their own pace. - Enriching Walks: I completely believe in letting dogs take their time to get all their sniffs in, because walks are their time! - Full Service & Light Grooming: I’m happy to wipe paws/ears, brush coats, brush teeth, and handle any cleanups, accidents, or normal pet debris so your home stays fresh. Mostly, I just genuinely love spending time with animals and would be honored to care for yours! I currently have the entire summer off, so I am incredibly flexible schedule-wise (including weekends) and can work with you on timing and availability. I'm just happy to help! Animals set the pace in my care. Whether meeting a new dog or visiting a shy cat, I never force interactions. I read animal body language carefully, giving pets space to approach on their own timeline so they feel completely safe and secure in my presence. Safety First on Walks & Visits: - Enriching & Secure Walks: Dogs are kept securely on-leash at all times. Walks are centered around their comfort and sniffing enrichment, avoiding hot pavement during summer heat and maintaining safe distances from unfamiliar dogs or hazards. - In-Home Security: I am meticulous about home safety, ensuring doors, gates, and windows are completely secure before and after every visit. - Emergency Preparedness: Having rescued and cared for animals with special health needs (including senior pets and kittens recovering from illness), I am calm under pressure, observant of any subtle changes in behavior or health, and quick to act if an issue ever arises. I care for your home with the same respect I treat my own multi-pet household. During visits, I handle all feeding, fresh water resets, and litter box or accident cleanups without hesitation. I'm also happy to wipe muddy paws, sweep up scattered litter, or run a quick vacuum over high-traffic entryways so you always return home to happy pets and a fresh space.
About: I’ve taken care of our family dogs (mastiffs, labs, and basset hounds) since I was a kid and have regularly cat-sit for family members and friends since I was 14. From giving medicine to cleaning up accidents I’ve probably handled anything your pet could throw at me before, and if they manage to give me something new I’m happy to learn! I work full time in a corporate office so I’m available outside the hours of 8:30a-5:30p (most days) to check up on your pets. I’m more than happy to make drop in visits on my lunch if I can! I want to make sure your pet is as comfortable as possible when I’m there! Treating your pet how you normally treat them is super important to me, and if for some reason I don’t think I’d be able to support your pet in their needs I’ll let you know right away so you can find a more appropriate sitter.
“Once again, Hannah has proven to be a very reliable sitter. We are very happy with Hannah's transparency and work ethic. Will definitely be booking again soon. Thanks Hannah”

“Andrea is exactly the type of dog walker and pet sitter you are looking for! Great communication and response time and overall loving/caring personality. Your animals are sure to love her! They’ll be in great hands!”

About: I grew up in a house that always had animals. Dogs, cats, and a stream of injured wildlife my dad brought home to nurse back to health, including a baby deer and a raccoon. We even had gerbils, hamsters, parakeets, and fish. Caring for animals has been part of daily life from the time I was born. I’ve lived with large breeds such as Great Pyrenees, Bernese Mountain Dogs; as well as energetic breeds like Australian Shepherds, Chows, and mixed breeds, so I’m very comfortable with big dogs and strong personalities. Family members with smaller dogs regularly relied on me for care, and for the past ten years I’ve house- and dog-sat for an elderly family friend. I’m attentive, patient, and observant, especially with animals that are nervous, aging, or need a calm presence. As a large, steady person, I’m confident handling big dogs on walks and in new situations, and I’m just as comfortable providing gentle, consistent care for smaller pets. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I structure my days from home. I’m used to planning around feeding schedules, walks, litter care, and regular check-ins throughout the day. This allows me to be consistent, present, and flexible with visits, walks, or overnight stays, and to give pets real attention rather than rushing through care. I provide care in my client’s home so pets can stay in the space they know. I follow their established routine closely with feeding, walks, litter care, medications if needed, and regular attention. I keep the home tidy, watch for behavior changes, and keep owners updated. With my own cats, I manage specialized diets, daily litter and cleaning, social time, and close observation of their health and behavior. I’ve cared for some of them from birth and have also supported pets through illness and end-of-life stages. That experience carries into how I care for every animal: patient, attentive, and respectful of their comfort and needs.
“Carolina did an amazing job with my pup. She’s played with him as well as fed him. She also made sure that I was updated and communicated very well with me. I definitely recommend her and will definitely hire her again for Koda.”
About: I raised my lively beagle for 10 years and have now moved on to dog sitting my friends’ pups! I am extremely attentive to their needs & love spending time with dogs! I am also available for cat sitting :) I am fully available on weekends! I do work a 9-5 but I can definitely make myself available after my shifts as long as it’s after 5pm. I can easily adapt to working in other people’s homes and will dog sit based on the clients house rules. I like to observe pets first to see where there safe spaces are in their home and to get a sense of their boundaries.
About: I’ve taken care of my pets for 15 years. I have also helped friends and family with walking, washing, and walking there pets when needed. I am currently a student so I am always available to help out with your pets any day of the week: walks, drop-in visits, and over night stays. I pay very close attention to the pets needs such as when they are hungry, need to go outside, or even just if they need some love an attention.
About: Use this code for $20 off!- DANAP81645 Animals have always been part of my life. Growing up, our family was constantly rescuing strays, helping lost pets find their way home, and occasionally falling in love and adding them to the family ourselves. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I currently share my home with my 11 year old son, our Australian Shepherd, Otis, and our two bearded dragons. I understand how much trust it takes to leave a beloved pet in someone else’s care. When your pet is with me, they’ll be treated like family. Whether they love long walks, belly rubs, playtime, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I know every pet is different, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and personalities so their experience feels as stress-free as possible. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pet! I own a business, so I'm very flexible with availability during the week. Weekends I'm completely available. I will be here the whole time whenever we have visitors. I have a big yard for pups to play in. We love playing fetch or just sitting around our backyard enjoying our beautiful California weather. About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of every kind since I was 12 years old. I have a great reputation and known for being very caring and friendly towards pets. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Santa Ana
Amelia was incredible! I knew from our meet & greet that she was a kind person. My cat immediately greeted her and liked her. I loved all the cute nose boops and pics I got as well as the updates with my cat and my place. Also really appreciated the extra time spent with her. You won’t regret booking with her. I will definitely be booking with her again!

Yichen looked after our cats with great attention and care. She provided very detailed notes on each drop-in that she completed. Our kitty cats were spoiled with their special treat sachets and extra goodies we left for them too. We look forward to having Yichen care for them again in the future.
I had a last minute request for drop-in kitty feeding - with a complicated entry into the house - Shannan accepted the responsibility and went above expectations, she was exceptionally caring to Bella and had zero issues figuring out how to provide service. I have been a Rover sitter myself for 5 years, I can honestly say now I understand the value of asking for help and receiving peace of mind and the effort a sitter gives to care for pets. I HIGHLY recommend Shannan🌸 she is top notch as a Rover sitter!

Nao always takes wonderful care of our cat. This was our second time booking with her, and once again she didn't miss a single detail. She kept us updated with thoughtful messages and plenty of photos throughout our trip. Thanks to Nao, our cat Sasha was happy and well cared for, which allowed us to travel with complete peace of mind. We wouldn't hesitate to book with Nao again. Thank you so much, Nao! 🐱💕

Carissa was great! She was nice enough to drop by before the first booking to get familiar with the property and grab the key. She was attentive to our requests and clearly loves animals so was more than willing to give them the care they need. The updates were descriptive and attached photos were lovely to see. Appreciated her service and will definitely book again if we need a sitter!

Tessa took care of our cat Olivia for a couple of weeks while we were on vacation. She came in to visit and care of Olivia once a day. She was absolutely fantastic. She provided daily updates with photos to us. It was clear that Olivia adored Tessa and could not wait for her daily cuddles. Tessa is a kind and warm person who loves animals. I hope she can take care of our pet next time we are out of town. Tessa, thank you for being so amazing!

Such a great cat sitter! She took tons of picture, gave many updates and handle my kitten well. He still has crazy kitten energy and she was such a good sport about it. Very responsible/communicative and you can tell she loves animals. This was my first time leaving my kitten for more than a few hours and she made me feel so comfortable! Would recommend her 1000% to take wonderful care of your beloved animals.

Astrid was absolutely amazing with our 2 boys! We had no one to turn to while we were away for our wedding and Astrid was able to provide such excellent service and keep them company! We are so so grateful for her and anyone who books with her can be confident that their pets are in great hands!

Tala was AMAZING with my sweet boy! She always provided updates and photos with each drop-in visit and was always quick to respond. From the updates, it seemed that my cat loved their time together! Lots of play time and cuddles 🥰 Tala is so kind and you can tell she truly loves taking care of pets!

Alexsys did a fantastic job taking care of our pets! She gave them the perfect amount of attention, ensured they were well tended to and provided us with detailed updates throughout our time away, alleviating any anxiety we may have had about leaving our pets while on vacation.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
