Novia can care for
Availability
I’m a grad student at UCI with a flexible schedule. If it’s close by, I can drop by to walk the pups in between my meetings or on days without meetings! I’m mostly on campus but can drive to places as needed.

While I can’t host pets because of my own dog, I’m happy to learn the ins and outs of what’s needed to care for your pets at your homes. I’m also extra cautious when walking dogs, making sure they are on the inside of the roads and hold them closer when near crossroads. If your dog has reactive tendency, I have experiences dealing with that as well.
Information Novia W. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know if they have special needs, their activity energy level, whether they get along with other pets (eg, dogs at dog park), children, and other humans. I would also need to know if they follow any special diet and have any special consideration (eg, separation anxiety, tends to bark at doorbell, etc.). It would be great to know about their personalities too. For example, if they get crankier at night or if there’s resource guarding tendency.
A typical day
It depends on the pet’s personality and energy level. For example, with a golden: In a typical day, I would start with a morning walk before it gets too hot outside. I’ll squeeze in some play time at the nearby dog park or yard (if available). Then we will relax indoor and while the pup rests, I will be working next to them on my laptop. In the afternoon, I will take them for a quick walk for potty breaks. Play a little bit of tug of war after we get back, and they will get a lot of pets from me. In the evening when it’s cooling down, we will go for another walk and potentially another play through. The rest of the night is for chilling and resting. I also may give them a treat toy to stimulate them throughout the day :)

Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of my friends’ and family’s dogs since at least 10 years ago. My experience ranges from overnight stays to dog parks, from walks to tugs. Oh - I even have back up bags for walks!

Reviews

Novia cared for our 2 cats while we were gone on an international trip. She was incredibly responsive, responsible, and clearly cared so well for our little fur babies! She sent really detailed notes about all her visits, and left my husband and I confident that our cats were in good hands.

Novia was such a sweet angel! She made drop in visits for our dog while we were away. She patiently waited for him to warm up to her and took care of his feed/water etc. She also updated us every visit with lovely pictures and videos. She is the best!

Novia informed me that she was available to cat-sit for another day as our flight would arrive late and we were more than happy to have our cats’ needs be addressed. Novia was also communicative throughout our interaction on the app. Our cats and everything in our place were well cared for.

It was a last minute booking and Novia was a godsend. When she came to meet our cats, one of them, Bobbie was already demanding for her attention. She took down notes as well. During her visits, she was attentive to the needs of the cats. She informed me when they were not touching their water so she had the initiative to put water in their wet food. Novia also updated us daily with dosages of pictures and videos. From the daily updates, we saw that our cats were super comfortable with her, which was important for us. We came home to our happy, healthy and well-fed cats. Definitely will book a visit with Novia again for our cats next time we’ll go away.
