About Rachel H.

Safety, trust & environment
I am knowledgeable about pets and their care. I know how to administer medication in a painless and anxiety-free way. I enjoy playing with animals and keeping them company while their families are away. I am very quick to respond to owners to update them on their furry friends at home while they're out! I provide any services that you need, but generally taking care of food, water, litter cleaning/dog walk, and of course play time and pets/cuddles :) If your pet requires medication or any special care, that can be arranged as well! I'm happy to do any small tasks around the home while you are out as well (bringing in mail/packages, turning on/off electronics, help with garbage removal etc)
Information Rachel H. would like to know about your pet
Some key things to know beforehand are: 1) your pet's temperament and how they are around other pets during time outside 2) the pet's typical schedule/routine (and how long they are crated/left alone) 3) any health conditions, behavioral issues, or allergies 4) any favorite toys or activities, or things to avoid
A typical day
I love to play fetch, tug-of-war, and make sure to give plenty of attention to those dogs who are higher energy. In my area, there are lots of nearby parks that are great for walks. I also love to give pets and cuddles to those dogs who like that type of attention!

Pet care experience
I have dog and cat sat for many friends throughout the years and had my own pets as well since childhood. I have fostered dozens of cats and kittens through a local rescue in Orange County. When I lived abroad, I also volunteered at an animal shelter and provided dog walks and general care for the animals. I am also certified in Cat and Dog First Aid from the American Red Cross.
Reviews

Rachael was great with Toby and was so good at handling his high energy. She came for a meet and greet and instant clicked with Toby. She made us feel at each and was super communicative and flexible, and you can tell she really loves dogs. She’s great!

Rachel is a professional, caring, trustworthy, attentive and uber-responsible pet sitter. She is also personable, calm, compassionate and reliable. She took excellent care of our cat, Remy, who is older and quite shy and nervous around strangers. Rachel followed all feeding and medication instructions and sent us photos, as well as videos. She didn't rush the visits, always showing up on time, and my husband and I sincerely appreciated her detailed updates and notes. If you want peace of mind when you can't be home with your pet then call Rachel. We can't write enough good things or recommend her enough. We certainly understand why she has earned the great reviews and has so many repeat and loyal clients.

Rachel took great care of our kittens while we were away for a few days. Thank you, Rachel!

Rachel is always fantastic and easy to communicate with regarding our 2 kiddos. You can tell the are well loved when we are out and about. Thank you!!!
