“So delighted to have discovered Siyi. She is very caring and thoughtful, checking if Sherlock could eat certain treats and whether it was ok to give him healthy snacks she had prepared herself. I felt extremely confident handing him over to her for the day and can tell he had a really good time. I will certainly be in touch with Siyi again. Thank you!”

“Eirini took great care of my pup Rosie and had a really warm energy that Rosie responded well to. She sent plenty of updates and cute pics and communication was easy as well!”

“Samuel looked after my dog Molly for an afternoon in his apartment in Edinburgh. He was very helpful and responsive setting up the booking and throughout Molly’s stay, and provided regular updates on how she was getting on, with photos. He treated her very kindly and she seemed to really take to him. I would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a Dogsitter in the area.”

About: An animal lover. I’ve always grown up in households filled with dogs and various animals, at my family home we have 2 dogs - my mum currently has x2 Lagotto Romagnolos. My previous dog was a Chinese Crested named Egor. Having both owned dogs and dog sat for friends and family before I’m keen to welcome new furry friends into my life! I’m available for complimentary meet and greets before bookings (where possible) to ensure you and your pet are comfortable ❤️ I’m currently working remotely for the most part, so can be flexible with regular toilet breaks and morning, lunch-time or evening walks/playtime! My weekends are work free so I can take doggies further afield into the countryside. Whether working or not I’m an attentive guardian 😊 I live in a first floor large apartment so can regularly nip out for toilet breaks / fresh air! I’m only a 5 minute walk from a local park. I have access to a car so plan to drive further afield and bring the doggies along for hikes.
“Lorenzo has become a trusted sitter for us. He is reliable, caring and is always happy to have our pup around. He's very good with Buddy and Buddy is always happy to be there.”

“Stephanie has been great with Benji. She took the time to meet us before the booking and was really understanding of his nervous ways. Second time I dropped him off he was so happy and relaxed to see his new friend. Great communication and really friendly. Highly recommend 😊”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs on and off for a few years, now looking to have a little friend for my work from home days! Love to take them walks and play during the day! I work from home most of the time with a very flexible job and evening schedule to work around you! Love to go on long evening walks and lunchtime strolls! I have a big 3 bed flat with lots of bits to explore in! I live in a newer flat building away from busy main roads and near lots of parks!
About: I’ve taken care of many different breeds of dogs. I love dogs especially King Charles Cavalier Spaniels. Pet sitting for me is a two way street, whereby I love the experience as well as the confidence for the owner I am a recent graduate from university so my schedule is very flexible. I have a lot of free time, to look after dogs and other animals I have a fenced garden which is a large size, I live close to the Meadows in Edinburgh, so this is a large space to walk dogs around.
“Really happy to have found Isabel. She couldn’t have been more friendly or accommodating and Sherlock took to her immediately. We met beforehand to make sure everybody was comfortable, which is always helpful and makes the handover process easier. And when my train was delayed, meaning I was going to be late to pick up, Isabel was kind enough to agree to alternative arrangements. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Isabel.”

“Dr Nicole is very professional, caring and attentive. She clearly loves dogs and has a way of settling my wee Jackapoo Amber very soon after arrival, even if she’s around other reactive dogs. Communication is great and updates and photos are sent regularly during the stay whether overnight or daycare. I recommend Dr Nicole highly, so book early as I’m sure she must be busy with lots of happy clients.”

“Jennifer and her daughter were the perfect hosts for Crumble. They were lovely with Crumble, attentive and caring, just what an older dog needed. Crumble was relaxed and happy, obviously made to feel right at home. Thank you”

“Jasmine was fantastic! I left my energentic spaniel with her for the day, and picked up a very happy (and very tired) pup in the evening. Jasmine had clearly done a great job, seeing as my dog kept protesting on the walk home, wanting me to turn around and go back 😂”

“Great communication from initial enquiry right through to collecting Jude at the end of his daycare. They were so friendly and showed a real and genuine love and care for dogs. We felt completely at ease that Jude would be well looked after and treated like part of the family. Would definitely recommend 😊”

About: I've regularely pet-sitted in the past 5 years, especially for small dogs, and my remote work and flexible setting allows plenty time for regular walks. I have a remote job and a flexible schedule that allows time for regular and long walks, if needed. I am very open to adapt to the pet's needs. I live close to a fenced park (Dalmeny Park) and two big parks (Leith Links and Pilrig Park). My flat also has a private fenced garden.
About: I’ve cared for dogs since I was around 10 years old, including a Golden Retriever, Chihuahua, and other mixed breed small dogs. I’ve helped with walking, feeding, bathing, and giving lots of attention and playtime. I’m patient, calm, and very responsible, and I always adapt to each dog’s personality and routine. I especially enjoy caring for small and medium dogs and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. As an MSc student, I have a flexible schedule outside of classes, which allows me to spend quality time with pets during the day and evenings. I plan my activities around their feeding, walking, and play routines so they receive proper care and attention. I enjoy spending time at home, so pets will not be left alone for long periods, and I can provide consistent companionship and supervision. I'm mostly free on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and keep pets in safe, clean, and calm environments. I pay close attention to doors, food safety, and any special needs or medications. In a pet owner’s home, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s usual routine to reduce stress. I believe trust is very important, so I communicate clearly and provide updates so owners feel confident their pets are safe and happy.

About: Hello, my name is Claire and I’ve cared for animals my whole life. Capable of looking after dogs, cats and other animals. As a child I was taught how to best provide care for our pets, cats and dogs. I would take responsibility for both and loved doing so. I’ve been consistently pet sitting for the last 3 years. I can work with young animals with lots of energy as well as older pets. I can administer medication and help with any additional needs. I have a 5 star rating on the Cat in a Flat app. I’m joining Rover as I would like to help care for dogs as well as cats. I have been a dog walker for neighbours over the last 5 years. I’ve just relocated to the Abbey Hill in Edinburgh and would love to build up a regular client base. I am out and about at Holyrood Park most days. All the best to you and your furry friends! Claire xx I work from home and I am self employed. My hours are flexible and can suit whatever you need. I’m open to overnights and can attend on short notice. I am very respectful and I like to give time for animals to get to know me, to see that they can trust me. Once your pet is at ease and happy with me I can offer as much love as they like. I also take care in the homes of others to ensure that things are left as I found them. I am clean and careful.
“Archie had had a fantastic time with Guilia and she is a very considerate person. I am very glad I met her and recommend her for your dog care. Thank you for all the help.”

Edinburgh dog owners share their Rover experiences
Siyi was amazing with Kumo. We were initially a little worried about Kumo being anxious at being left with a new person, but even from the first meetup Kumo loved Siyi (and her homemade treats)! Also, getting regular updates with photos and videos really made us feel at ease the whole time 🧡 it was a great experience and would definitely recommend!

I took Chiara for a half day trial visit. Evangelos was reassuring and she seemed calm and happy when I went back to collect her! This was the first time we did not use a kennel, as Chiara always get quite anxious in that setting - and I'm pleased to say that I'll be coming back! Thank you!

Katherine is lovely. Our dog is very happy to spend time with her. He starts wagging his tail when he sees her. I know he is very well taken care of so I don’t worry when I am away. Katherine is very quick to respond to any questions I have and helpful with my bookings. I would highly recommend her.

Laura was thoroughly fantastic. I thank her so much for the love and care she showed to Brian. She was wonderful in every way possible, and I can't recommend her highly enough. I'm struggling for the words, and if there were classes in caring for dogs, she would teach it.

Oscar was great with my golden retriever puppy, very laid back and adaptable to his needs and personality. Rumi settled in with him quickly and spent most of his time just lying curled up at Oscar’s feet while he worked. It was very clear to me that Rumi was comfortable with him and loved being there. I would have Oscar watch him again any time.

Niamh was great with Bella, we had Bella booked for 1 day for daycare and at very short notice we needed an extra day. Niamh took Bella for the 2 days. The first day went well and Bella was very happy to see Niamh the next morning. Bella was well exercised both day returning home happy to sleep the day off. Niamh also took time to come and meet Bella at the park the week before the booking which was appreciated.

Dawid was so good with Ralphie! Ralphie was able to relax as well as go on a couple of walk which left him knackered by the end of the day - a plus! Throughout the day I got updates and photos of how Ralphie was going, and he seemed to be having a blast. I would definitely use Dawid's services again :)

Jennifer and her daughter were so lovely to meet and took such good care of Fin! Fin has acquired a lot of quirks in his old age and Jennifer was so patient with him. She was super easy to communicate with and was really flexible. I will absolutely be using her again in the future!

Aimee is nothing short of brilliant!!! She loves dogs and has a lovely well behaved one of her own! Hachi absolutely loved her ! She took good care of Hachi ; brought him for proper walks and made sure he ate and play . Love love her!!! I cannot recommend her enough!
