“Highly recommend!! Matthew has great communication and sent me regular updates on how my dog was doing during her few nights stay at his lovely home. My anxious old dog settled right in and became friends with his sweet little dog Hiccup too”

“Tilly had a great time with Gillian, on one of the wettest days of the year she got some lovely walks and cosied at her house. Gillian is so lovely and I would highly recommend her and Tilly wants to know when she can see her again. 😊”

About: I've always had dogs and cats and I've always liked them a lot, when I lived a few months in Spain I took care of dogs and cats at home, families always trusted and liked my work, I take care of it, feed, take them for a walk with great care and love ☺️ At the moment I'm working part time so I have a lot of free time, and when I work it's from 8am to 3pm, I'm available any day of the week and weekend! I have a fenced and safe garden and also my flat is very safe and spacious, I have time to take them out for a walk and play in the garden

“Thankyou Michaela and Keryn for taking such good care of Ruby. She has obviously had a great time and is very settled coming back home. I will definitely feel happy leaving her in your care again”

“Bea loved her time with Bronagh and Kathryn! She was delighted to meet them and explore their flat and we actually had to bribe her with treats to leave! They sent us lovely photos and updates so we knew Bea was safe and happy. 10/10 would recommend”

“He had been great with Daisy, as he had her throughout Christmas and New Year, got her lovely wee presents which we will treasure. Kamal also keep us informed with great photos and videos while we were away on holiday! We will use Kamal's service again for sure”

“Michelle was wonderful with my dog Rosalía. She took great care of her and kept me updated with messages and photos throughout the stay. I felt completely at ease knowing Rosalía was in such good hands. Highly recommended!!”

“It is so nice to board my Max and know he's being looked after and is perfectly content with Nicole. I no longer worry about leaving him, now my worry is simply that he's behaving!”

“B had a fantastic overnight stay with Sydni, she was very flexible on drop off timing when we got delayed and took him for a gorgeous long walk on the Meadows. Thanks Sydni, we’ll definitely book again”

“Sammie and Daniel took wonderful care of Gombóc, while we were away for 5 days. He was well looked after, he can be a bit shy yet he was visibly comfy. We receved messages and updates regularly which gave us a peace of mind during our holiday. Highly recommend Sammie for anyone looking for a sitter, we are already planning our next booking with them for our September trip.”

“I can’t recommend Binlin enough, she messaged photos every day and was so happy to look after our lil cat. We felt as though Boo was in safe hands the whole time, and could enjoy our holiday knowing she was a happy and well taken care of kitty.”

“Warm & heartfelt Amazing dog sitter with great knowledge, experience, and genuine empathy for animals. ❤️ My young dog was treated with so much love and care. She was walked, enjoyed the garden, and clearly felt completely at home. She even slept in bed with Patrycja, cuddled up with her. 🥰 I felt very reassured knowing my dog was in such kind and caring hands. I highly recommend Patrycja — she is wonderful with dogs and truly goes above and beyond. 🐾❤️”

“Erin was amazing with our mini schnauzer Max! He definitely has separation anxiety when we leave him, and she kept us updated on how he was doing with photos and videos making us feel so comfortable leaving him. Would absolutely recommend her and Sam and would absolutely have them watch Max again!”

“Hamish had his first overnight stay with Nicole and he was a very, well looked after wee boy. I received lots of photos of him looking happy content, he was well walked and played in the park. When I collected him, Nicole seemed genuinely very fond of him - I will definitely use Nicole again 😊”

“Tom took care of our 40 kg girl while we moved and gave her a nice stress free environment for 12 hours while we dealt with the chaos of moving day. When I picked her up, I found an excited, but tired pup, ready to be introduced to her new home! Our Luna is NOT an easy dog. She’s hyper, easily stressed, and can be reactive at times, but Tom handled her very well, and in stride, even when she threw a little fit at the park. Would recommend & would book again!”

“Velveth looked after Milo for the first time this July for 3 days and nights. My mind was set at ease with an easily organised meet and greet and Milo was able to sniff around her flat. Velveth sent many written and photo updates over the time she had him which was really appreciated. I was very pleased to see and hear how my shy guy got comfortable and even playful with her over such a short period of time. Would recommend and book again. Thanks Velveth!”

“I would strongly recommend Avril. She was incredibly supportive and attentive with Locky. I felt rest assured that he was well taken care of. He looked very happy and chilled.”

Tara looked after our greyhound, and sent us regular updates and photos with how he was doing. He had a bit of an eating blip and Tara was great with communication and we felt reassured she was keeping a good eye on him and soon he was back to his regular self. She took him out and about and we loved that he got to be a part of someone’s routine rather than more of a kennel-style stay. We really appreciated the flexibility with the drop off and pick up too. Would definitely book again ☺️

Patrycja was lovely with Hazel and her dog Mia. Patrycja looked well after Hazel and provided frequent updated. Hazel clearly enjoyed herself. Patrycja also had no problem with applying Hazel's ear medication. Hazel doesn't particularly like dogs but got on well with Mia and looked relaxed on pictures.

Our anxious GSD has never been left overnight on his own before but Erin & Sam couldn't possibly have been more accommodating ! Buzz has clearly had a great time staying over at their beautiful home, exploring their fantastic safely enclosed garden too! What truly lovely, kind, caring & experienced dog lovers who knew instinctively how to calm our Buzzy boy & help him relax, whilst taking time to text us with lots of updates & photos! Erin’s 5 star care is truly priceless and most definitely to be recommended.

Nicola and her partner were fantastic with our Boston Terrier, Remy. They were calm, kind, engaged and patient with her. Nicola clearly loves animals, and asked lots of questions (the right questions) and we arranged a meet and greet in advance at a local park so that they could get to know her and her needs in advance of her stay. Remy doesn't immediately trust many people, and can be anxious and reactive, but she loved them both from the minute she met them. Communication was excellent beforehand and throughout her overnight stay. If she could speak, I expect she would say that she absolutely had the best time and adores them. I wouldn't hesitate to rebook with Nicola in future; either for overnights or ad-hoc care. Thank you

Natalie was absolutely amazing with my rottweiler roco-star .. he was showered with love and id say more pampered then he has ever been .. daily photos and lots of updates .. he come home happy .. there was no stress or worry while I was away .. I will definitely re book with her again

Couldn’t recommend Kamal highly enough! My partner and I both work from home, and our pup Peggy had never really spent much time with anyone outside of friends and family. Kamal was amazing with her, and she had the best time! We loved receiving the regular updates and seeing Peggy make some new furry friends along the way. It honestly put our minds at ease knowing she was so happy and well looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kamal and will definitely be reaching out again in the future. Thank you!

Would highly recommend On Lei who looked after our six year old rescue greyhound ticky! We received loads of photo updates and plenty of messages so we knew that ticky was settling well and was having a great time :) thanks again for accommodating our last minute request, will definitely be in touch when we need ticky looked after again!! :)

Amazing, thank you so much!!! Handled a last min booking, met up for the dogs to have a walk and let Bjorn settle in his new environment. Snoop was so sweet and gentle, got along with Bjørn really well! He was there for one night, and came back a happy sleepy pup. Would recommend and book again. 🥰 thank you for looking after our bean!!!

Michaela and Keryn were absolutely amazing with our dog, Jura, during a long boarding stay. They were really communicative with us, giving us daily updates and nothing was too much trouble. Jura needed frequent eye and oral medications and they managed this really well, leaving us feeling reassured. Jura clearly enjoyed his stay and we would absolutely recommend them. Thanks so much guys :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
