About: Hi there! I’ve been dedicated to caring for rescue dogs for over 15 years. What started as a childhood passion helping friends and family has grown into a lifelong commitment to canine companionship. Our Resident Pack My wife and I are the proud parents of an unbeatable trio of rescue greyhounds: Bluesy, Daisy, and Spider. They are the heart of our home and have helped us build a wonderful community of fellow dog lovers in our neighbourhood. Why Choose Us? . Sighthound Specialists: We have a deep understanding of sighthound behavior, temperaments, and their unique needs. . Positive Reinforcement: We believe in force-free training. Whether it’s treats, praise, or play-time, we focus on making every stay a rewarding experience. . The "Noodle" Social Club: Our trio is incredibly friendly. We welcome all breeds with open arms, provided they’re happy to hang out with our calm, lanky crew! What to Expect Your pup won't just be looked after, they’ll be part of our family. We offer a calm, rescue-friendly environment where your dog’s comfort and routine are our top priorities. We both work from home full-time (9:00–17:00, Mon–Fri), meaning your dog will have constant human companionship. Our lives revolve around our trio of rescues, Bluesy, Daisy, and Spider, and a consistent routine of four daily nature walks (morning, midday, afternoon, and evening). Each outing concludes with enrichment like sniffing mats or high-value treats, and any guest dog is folded right into this structured, stimulating, and loving routine. We offer a highly supervised, 'always-on' environment; because we work from home, your dog will never be left unattended. Our house is designed for maximum comfort, filled with plush beds, toys, and enrichment activities. Our resident hound, Bluesy, requires medication three times daily, so we are confident and precise in administering oral or topical treatments to guests dogs who need them.
“Thanks again for having Miss Tilly for the weekend. She looks like she had a great time and we got all the story when we got in. We highly recommend Gillian as a wonderful dog minder xxx”

“I've just picked my dog up from Mathew after her 5 night stay. It was my first time using Matthew and I totally would again. He was really patient with all my questions before booking. Communication was great while I was away, pictures, funny stories and even a video. All of this meant I didn't worry at all. I would absolutely recommend Matthew and his gorgeous wee dog to anyone. Thank you Matthew and Hiccup!!”

“Thank you so much, Nicole, for caring for Denzel so beautifully. He came home looking sleek and contented, and has clearly been very well looked after. I really appreciate Nicole's organised and thoughtful approach. Highly recommend.”

“Sammy had the time of his life staying with Kasia and her partner! They took such great care of him, giving him plenty of love, walks, and even spoiling him a bit. They sent lots of reassuring messages, pictures and even videos of how he was doing. Think we also made a friend too. So lucky to have found Kasia via the Rover App. It was such a relief knowing he was in such good hands. Highly recommend!”
“Bea loved her time with Bronagh and Kathryn! She was delighted to meet them and explore their flat and we actually had to bribe her with treats to leave! They sent us lovely photos and updates so we knew Bea was safe and happy. 10/10 would recommend”

“Amy was a perfect carer for Luna. She made her at home in her lovely flat by the sea, took Luna for walks by the seafront and gave her lots of love and cuddles. She also let her on the sofa and her bed. Luna had a lovely week with Amy and I would highly recommend her. Amy sent lots of regular updates of Luna with photos and videos throughout lunas stay, she looked very happy I actually wondered if she would want to come home at all.”

“Prema is patient, and incredibly kind sitter. Ozzy had a really hard time settling down and showed some tough separation anxiety, but prema handled it calmly and professionally. She communicated with us the entire time. I am very thankful for how hard she tried to comfort him and highly recommend her services!"”

“Michelle was wonderful with my dog Rosalía. She took great care of her and kept me updated with messages and photos throughout the stay. I felt completely at ease knowing Rosalía was in such good hands. Highly recommended!!”

“Velveth looked after Milo for the first time this July for 3 days and nights. My mind was set at ease with an easily organised meet and greet and Milo was able to sniff around her flat. Velveth sent many written and photo updates over the time she had him which was really appreciated. I was very pleased to see and hear how my shy guy got comfortable and even playful with her over such a short period of time. Would recommend and book again. Thanks Velveth!”

“Avril was a brilliant guardian for Jura. She was easy and prompt to communicate and kept us updated throughout the stay. Sending photos and messages to let us know everything was ok. Would highly recommend.”

“We had never used Rover before and couldn’t have had a better experience with Jessica. From the outset Jessica was incredible, taking the time to meet Peach and show us around her home while asking very thoughtful and considerate questions about her care. During her stay, Jessica sent us lots of updates which we loved, and it was clear that Peach was extremely well taken care of throughout the week! We’re so grateful to have met Jessica and will most definitely be returning when we next need a dog sitter. Thank you Jessica!”

“Charlyn is a brilliant dog sitter! Mochi stayed with her for two weeks while I was away, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She sent me photo and video updates multiple times a day, which was incredibly reassuring and heartwarming. When Mochi had a diarrhea, Charlyn took him to the vet right away and kept me fully informed. She was so caring and responsible throughout—her being a vet school student gave me extra peace of mind. I felt Mochi was in the safest hands possible. Highly recommend!”

“Marvin spent his first ever night away from home with Derek and we couldn't be more delighted with the care he received. Derek and his wife were so good with him, lovely people and know their stuff, clearly. We felt so comfortable leaving Marvin with them and know he was well looked after. We got regular updates - videos and pictures which was much appreciated. Thank you so much. Marvin will be back for another holiday soon :)”

Having never used a pet sitter before, we were slightly apprehensive about leaving our dog with someone who wasn’t a friend or family. Sammie and her partner invited us to their flat to do a meet and greet before our holisay which alleviated any anxiety we had and we felt confident our dog would be in safe hands. Our dog was happy, comfortable, and well looked after. We received regular updates and photos which was lovely to see. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter, and I’d happily book with them again. Thank you so much!!

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter. They made me feel completely at ease about leaving my dog in their care. It was clear they genuinely cared about him and took the time to build a real bond with him over the week. They made him feel so welcome that it truly became his home away from home. We received lovely updates, photos, and messages throughout his stay, which gave us so much reassurance and allowed us to relax knowing he was happy, safe, and well looked after. I can’t thank them enough for the love, care, and attention they gave him. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and dedicated to looking after their furry family member.

Kevin and his wife had our dog Murphy while we went on a family trip. I had never used rover before and was extremely anxious about leaving our boy behind especially with someone we did not know. We done a meet beforehand so Murphy was familiar with the surroundings. Kevin and his wife Leah were amazing with Murphy. He had so much fun got lots of attention and walks. I was kept up to date throughout the whole stay with videos pictures and messages and was made to feel at ease the whole time. Would definetly recommend and will be using the service from this lovely couple again. Thanks for looking after my boy 😊

Julia and Michal were both wonderful - Hems had a full week stay with them both, would definitely recommend, particularly for longer breaks. Hems was treated as part of the family and looked after wonderfully, he was clearly happy and settled in his new environment. Would definitely use both again.

Eva looked after our two dogs, Max and Scout, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. She was a great communicator throughout, keeping us updated and responding promptly to messages. She arrived on time, was reliable, and engaged really well with both dogs, taking the time to build a rapport with them and making them feel comfortable. It was clear that she genuinely enjoys being around dogs and took great care of Max and Scout while we were away. We’d be very happy to have Eva look after them again in the future. Thank you, Eva!

Velveth looked after Milo for the first time this July for 3 days and nights. Thanks Velveth!

We couldn't have asked for better dog sitters than Callum and his partner. They treated our dog, Jolene, as if she were their own, giving her so much love, care, and attention throughout her stay. They carefully followed every single one of our instructions, which gave us great peace of mind. We also received regular, incredibly detailed updates with lots of lovely photos, so we always knew how Jolene was doing and could see how happy and relaxed she was. From the very beginning, we felt that Jolene was in the best possible hands. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine love for dogs really stood out. We would highly recommend Callum and his partner to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitters. We will definitely book with them again!

Robin and his girlfriend, Cait, took exceptional care of our dog, Kobe, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we met them, they were both warm, friendly, and clearly genuine dog lovers. Kobe was happy, comfortable, and so well looked after, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. They kept me updated regularly, and it was obvious that Kobe received plenty of love, attention, and care. It really felt like they treated him as one of their own. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Robin and Cait to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitters. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of Kobe—we'll definitely be booking with you again! 💙

What can I say about Helen, other than she is amazing! We left our 8 year old Retriever for 18 days whilst we were on holiday and couldn’t have been happier. Belle was walked, groomed and above all loved! She came back a happy dog and I know next time we drop her off she’ll recognise the place immediately!! Thanks again Helen xx

Siyi was absolutely brilliant! She took excellent care of Cookie for 3 weeks and sent us loads of photos and videos of her every day. She addressed all of our concerns and we felt reassured that she was safe and happy. I think Cookie is missing her, her delicious homemade treats and all of her new doggy play pals. Would definitely recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
