“I was initially skeptical about leaving Buster with someone I didn’t know, given his hyper personality. However, after returning from my trip, I found a much calmer dog. Bilquees did an outstanding job not only walking him but also caring for him. Her understanding of hyperactive and reactive dogs is impressive, and her nurturing nature was class!”

About: I’ve been taking care of all kinds of dogs since I was a kid. I have had two Great Danes (LOVE large breeds) and most recently lived with three cats of my own. I’m the go-to ‘pet sitter’ for all of my friends and frequently will watch theirs for weeks at a time. I love making sure pets feel safe and at home with me, whether it’s cuddles or going on adventures! I work remotely, so generally can fit my routine around the pet! If they need cuddles or alone time I can organize accordingly. For pets who need lots of outdoor time, I can hang in my front garden (weather permitting) and I love going on long walks and runs, so they can come with me when appropriate. I have a fenced front garden, and with pets I give them the space or lack of space they want generally. At my home,I give them a place to establish comfort, and at your home I follow your guidelines to make sure they have a routine to keep things normalized (with lots of treats if allowed)
About: My family have had dogs my entire life, all of which have been such special characters! My last dog was particularly special, having had her for 15+ years. Miss having the opportunity to look after her whenever I wish! I'd regularly look after her when my parents went away. Often I'd keep her for months at my flat as we both loved each others company. I'm very active and love going for walks so if you're dog is particularly energetic, we'll just have to go for a long walk, won't we! I'm currently a student so I'm available from Friday (12:30/13:00) right through the weekend to look after your dog(s). My partner (who I live with) loves dogs too and works from home during the week in case you need a little more flexibility around pick-up/drop-off timings; he's always happy to help out! Our flat does not have a garden and is two floors up. It's a spacious flat however and I'd take them out for walks regularly, depending on their needs. If your dog struggles with stairs and is not too large, I can pick them up as I used to do with my old dog who was a collie spaniel cross.
About: Hello! I’m Annie, I am owner of a 2yo rescue mix, and have had dogs all of my life! Comfortable taking all breeds and ages, including puppies, reactive dogs, and dogs that may need special care or attention. Wilbur is good with most dogs and loves having a friend in the house to play with! My partner & I both WFH 9-5. For our two y/o staffy mix a typical day looks like an hour walk in the morning (7:30-8:30) and an hour after work (5:30-6:30) with various outings for the bathroom in the day. Weekends typically see us at the beach or in the hills for bigger outings. I have a ground floor flat, with access to a keyed garden a 5 minute walk away which is very safe place for training or off lead sniffs for dogs with mixed recall. Living in newtown dogs will have lots of access to parks and Greenspace, and we’ve a car to get out on the weekends. My dog is not crate trained and roams between bed and sofa but I can happily crate your dog if preferred!
“Feng W. looked after my dog, Peppi, for two days, and I couldn’t be more impressed. He was attentive, punctual, and polite throughout. Peppi looked so happy in the photos Feng sent, which really put my mind at ease. Overall, an excellent experience – highly recommend!”

About: I've always had cats as a family pet and have looked after dogs regularly too. I have experience administering medications to aging pets to their own timetables and needs. Im currently working flexibly, so will be able to work my day around your pets needs very easily. I have no dependents to work around, so rest assured I will be able to give your pets all the attention they deserve. Currently in a smaller flat which is why I am mostly to look after smaller or medium size pets. Easy access to local parks for walks and very calm child free environment in the flat.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and genuinely love having them around. My family have had a Labrador, a Vizsla and now a German Pointer, so I’m very comfortable with larger, energetic breeds. Although I no longer live at home, I still regularly help care for family and friends’ dogs. I currently look after a Cocker Spaniel two to three times a week and he often stays overnight with me. I’ve also had my family’s German Pointer stay at my flat when they visit Edinburgh, looked after a friend’s German Pointer many times, and cared for a friend’s Jack Russell on several occasions. I’m reliable, calm and happy to follow each dog’s usual routine so they feel settled and relaxed while you’re away. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I can give dogs plenty of attention throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I’m available for dog boarding in my home, drop-in visits, and walks, and I’m happy to work around your dog’s usual routine to help them feel settled, comfortable and cared for. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always be my top priority. I live in a clean, dog-friendly flat where they’ll receive lots of love, attention and regular walks. I’ll always follow your dog’s usual routine, including feeding, medication (if needed), exercise and any house rules you have. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog is in safe hands. For drop-in visits, I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect as I would my own.

About: I’ve taken care of friends and family dogs and cats previously and have helped raise and train my flat mates puppy. I work from home Tuesdays and Fridays so can be flexible (including weekends). I have a small ground floor flat but able to provide toilet breaks as much as needed and walks before and after work and at lunch time if needed! I currently work full time - Tuesdays and Fridays from home. 9-5 Monday to Friday and will be available on some weekends too! When I work from home i am able to provide toilet breaks whenever needed and time outside/ walks before and after work and also on my lunch hour! Can be flexible - I sometimes dog sit for friends when they are in the office. I have a secure ground floor flat next to a safe walk way. I am also next to a lot of green space and there are many routes away from main roads.
“Hamish took Goose for a great walk, he was communicative and easy to work with. He obviously knows and loves dogs and I totally trust him to take care of Goose and entertain him on his walk.”

“Joanie helped us during our wedding ceremony. We couldn’t take Coco with us, unfortunately, so Joanie had a good walk with her during that time and brought her to wedding reception. Couldn’t be happier. Thank you!”

“Daniela was incredible! She was so flexible and she honestly just had a really good vibe! I was so nervous to give my dog to a stranger (first time puppy mum lol) but once I met her in person I wasn’t worried at all! Sunny had a great time and we would definitely book her again😊😊”

About: I have always loved animals. My experience with them includes having pets throughout my life, working as a teenager at a dog day care center, and working at an animal sanctuary in Texas with unusual pets, as well as 5+ years on Rover. In Edinburgh, I only work part time (with dogs!), so I will have plenty of time to care for your pet. My partner and I will be sure to give your animal all the attention they need — we both love the excuse to dote on a pet! Depending on our new friend's energy levels, both work part time so we will certainly take them out for as many long walks as they need, and will be able to follow their schedule. With or without a furry friend in our home, we both take long walks every day, so fitting a companion into our schedules is easy! I will always see & ask what a specific dog's needs are before working with them. I love fetch, tug of war, and wrestling with dogs who want to do so, but I am also happy to cuddle up on the couch next to a sleepy low energy dog. I've specifically worked for long periods of time with getting anxious dogs to open up to new people, so I know when to give a pet their space.
“I always feel my dog is in great hands with Rebecca! I'm requested walks from Rebecca multiple times and each time she leaves very detailed notes and takes lots of great pictures. Will definitely continue to keep working with her!”

The median cost per walk for dog walking in Edinburgh is £12
Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Edinburgh
This was my first time using a dog walker and I am so glad I did it - Grace was brilliant! I had plans fall through and Grace was so quick to respond to my request, we got everything sorted so quickly and it gave me such peace of mind! I also loved the updates I got from the walks and her attitude and attention to care was above and beyond what I expected! My dog also loved her and clearly had a great time on his walks! I recommend her to anyone and hope to book her again in the future!

Caitlin was a fantastic dog sitter. Prompt, friendly, enthusiastic and flexible enough to arrange at short notice. Our dog had a lovely walk with her and came back happy and relaxed. We received some cute photos of their walk in Holyrood Park. We will definitely be booking her again!

Eirini is the most kind, considerate dog walker we have had. She is punctual, has constant communication and most importantly our dog loves her! He is a nervous boy who is skeptical of people but she was happy to take it slowly at the beginning and now they are best friends!! We feel very comfortable leaving him in her care as we know he will be looked after (such as turning fan on, filling up water bowl and closing curtains etc if it gets hot during the day when we are out)! She also takes time to sit with him after walks if he is unsettled, which we never ask her to do!! Cannot recommend enough for any dog sitting needs she is great!! She also has a song she sings to our dog when she comes in the door and his tail always wags like mad 🥹

I have had a few dog walkers in the 13yrs of having my little dog and they've all been really good but Feng really took good care of my dog and I feel went above and beyond. Really appreciate his help this week, would definitely recommend, and will be using his services again
