About: Hello, I'm Justine, a Masters student at the University of Stirling and a dedicated pet sitter located in Menstrie, Scotland. I have a passion for caring for all kinds of pets. I've had pets all my life, ranging from dogs and cats to rodents and reptiles. Right now I have two adorable cats! Your furry friends will be safe and happy in my care. My previous pet sitting experience includes caring for large breeds, high-energy breeds, puppies, dogs with medication requirements and limited mobility, and multiple cats (both homestays and pop-in care). I have my own car so am able to reach more remote locations and be flexible with timings. I offer pet sitting in the owner's home (overnight stays) as well as pop-in care and dog walking services. As I have two cats at home, I do not offer pet boarding in my own house. I believe that it is most comfortable and beneficial for the pet to remain in their own home if possible. This ensures that your pet is able to stay in a familiar environment and maintains their normal routine to reduce stress whilst the owner is away. For dog walking, I aim to offer adventurous and varied walks including woodlands, fields, parks and rivers. If your dog is comfortable in cars, I am happy to drive to local walks for your dog to explore new places.

About: Growing up in the countryside on a farm, I have never not had dogs, from working dogs to rescue dogs I have grown up with a range of fury siblings. My first job age 13 was in a kennel opposite my house where I returned to work each summer until I was 17, the kennel was also home to a greyhound rescue, and working with the dogs in the kennel helped me learn more about dog behaviour and gave me exposure to a range of breeds. Sadly my 3 family dogs have all passed from old age over the past two years and during that time I moved to Scotland. This has left such a big paw print shaped hole in my heart and I cherish any time I can have with dogs. More recently I have been joining my friend on her walks as a dog walker in Edinburgh which has inspired me to start dog walking & pet sitting myself locally to me. I’m currently working part time in a bar on the weekends so I have plenty of time throughout the week to look after your lovely pets! I can also be flexible with my work where needed which means I’m never stuck to a strict schedule. I have a fenced garden which is shared with two neighbouring dogs who love to play. I live near a park also which is perfect for dogs to run around and soak in all the smells.

About: Hi I'm Lorna! I'm a kindhearted animal lover who is eager to love and care for every animal, big or small. I have loved animals since I was little, having had pets from cats and dogs to reptiles and rodents. I currently have 2 cute cats who I adore. My pet sitting experience includes looking after an energetic bulldog puppy, and overnight care for cats with medicine requirements. I currently work part-time, so my schedule is quite flexible. About: I have had dogs all my life including huskies so I’m used to all types of breeds, I have canine first aid, fully insured, dog behaviour and canine nutrition certificates so I can gain as much knowledge and provide a trustworthy service for your beloved babies!! I will treat them like part of our homely pack I work part time for a few hours per day but I walk morning, afternoons and evenings so your dog will still receive the full exercise requirements they need, I have a husky of my own at home so your pet will have company to play with throughout there stay! I have my own front entrance and 6ft fenced back garden space with patio doors so your dog can come in and out with ease! I have a spare room should your pet require space and quiet time alone at times if they need.

About: I’m currently a second year vet student at Edinburgh’s royal dick school of veterinary studies. I have a special interest in small animals and sheep! Prior to uni I volunteered at a cat shelter for around 2 years and after this shelter I moved to a cattery and have worked there for 2 years now until present. I also worked in a kennel for a few months. While at home from university whether it’s on weekends or on holidays I love taken my young golden retriever for adventures especially in water! She loves the water. I also enjoy taking her to the pet shop and letting her pick a toy which will eventually get destroyed… I also have a cat who likes to suit himself but will definitely let me know when he’s hungry. When home for holidays I work at a cattery and sometimes will pick up a few shifts at a farm where I do vet school placements. While looking after pets I will care for them with the upmost respect and love. Fresh water will always be available and food available as and when the owners desire, saying this if there is certain routines owners follow with their pets I will stick to these as long as im told, so please don’t hesitate to leave instructions! It will ensure your pet will feel safe and secure. Play time and affection is key to looking after pets, and lucky for them I love to sit and play or cuddle perhaps them!

About: I’m 22 years old, and just finished studying my undergrad Sport Business Management degree at Stirling. Growing up my friends and family have always had dogs and/ or cats, I’ve always loved looking after them or taking them on walks! I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats in the past and I appreciate that each individual will have their own quirks and personalities and would likely benefit from meeting me before I stay with them :) In the past I’ve even managed to teach my cat to ‘sit’ and ‘high-5’! I’m currently in between studying my undergraduate degree and beginning my masters degree my fourth year of studying at university :) My schedule usually involves football training a couple of times a week: Monday evening, Friday evening, and Sunday 12-1.30pm I also volunteer at a Parkinson’s Singing Group (Monday 3-4.45pm) and Walking Football (Tuesday 10.30am-12pm). I understand that your pets may be wary of a new person and will be sure to give them any space they need! The worst thing we want to do is give them a bad experience and to overwhelm them. I have experience with nervous pets and are able to recognise when not to approach them, although every pet is different. I’ll give them their space in their own home and let them come to me.

About: I know how anxious it can be leaving your pets or avoiding booking trips because you’re worried about who will look after them? I have 2 cats of my own binx&toby and with them being house cats it’s a daunting thought leaving them in someone else’s hands. That’s why in my free time I wanted to be able to offer support to other families who want someone they can trust to look after their fur babies. although I have my own cats I have grown up arounds dogs of all sizes🤣 we have a naughty jack russel in our family who thinks she’s a big dog so I am very experienced in dog care and dog walks and take extra care with dogs that may have their own challenging quirks🙈i have plenty of experience of dog sitting and cat sitting in the past for friends and family. My main priority is making sure pets are safe, comfortable and well looked after as if they are my own. I also have stable & horse experience- i previously used to horse ride and my partners family own horses. Professionally I work as a full time nurse and love my job! with only working 3 shifts a week and having notice on my shift rotation it gives me a bit of flexibility. any questions please feel free to ask! I work x3 12hr shifts a week- mostly nightshifts so taking a few hours out of my day to check in with your pets is no problem I treat all animals as if they where my own and follow the owners wishes 100% keeping your pets safe and having respect for your home when carrying out visits is a huge priority.

About: I have had experience with helping care for dogs of family and friends with various sized dogs and breeds. Experience with walking mainly on a lead, happy off lead in a secure area once they are familiar I am usually available mid week and weekends for walks. About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was five, I have always loved animals since a young girl, so having two bulldogs in the house (George and Georgina) from an early age was just the best. I have so much time for animals, my mum being from Brazil loves exotic pets so I have experience keeping parrots and tortoises as well as dogs, I don’t discriminate! This allows me to give dogs consistent attention, exercise, and a structured routine during their stay long or short. There is a garden area outside for toilet breaks, which is always used under close supervision. About: We may have pets, but when it comes to unconditional love, they are the masters. Ever since I can remember I have taken care of dogs, cats and birds. I'm currently working part-time so I'll have plenty of time to play and look after your pet either indoor or outdoor. I am often out and about climbing hills and going for walks. During my visit it's essential for me familiarize myself with your pet and learn when it eats, drinks, and goes for a walk. Bonding with your baby is essential as it encourages your peace of mind having left your loved one in my watch. Key reasons why some kennels might not be suitable for dogs: Being in an unfamiliar place with many other dogs can cause significant anxiety for some dogs, especially if they are not well socialized. Kennels may not be able to provide the level of individual care needed for dogs with specific needs or behavioral issues. Close contact with other dogs can increase the risk of contracting contagious illnesses like kennel cough. Some kennels may not offer enough playtime or mental stimulation for dogs, leading to boredom and frustration. If the kennel is too small for a dog's size, it can cause discomfort and restrict movement. Lack of regular cleaning can lead to the spread of bacteria and parasites. Staff members who are not properly trained in handling dogs could potentially mishandle or neglect animals. Every pet's mental, emotional, physical, nutritional, and intuitive health is of utmost importance to me, and I will remain steadfast in my commitment to provide for every pet as though they are my own.
