I’ve cared for many different types of dogs and cats over the years, mostly for friends and family, and I absolutely love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. Whether it’s playtime in the garden, a walk through the park, or just some relaxing cuddles, I make sure each pet guest feels right at home. About: I’ve been around and drawn to pets/animals for as long as I can remember. Especially when being younger, my granny had two Jack Russell’s Bracken & Jordie. I would take any opportunity I could to take care of them, whether or not that be walking them, feeding them, playing with them, or even just watching over them. My cousins have also always owned dogs and most of them being cocker spaniels, I’m used to their energy and high attention demand. I’ve never had any pets in my own family home as it doesn’t mix too well with some in the house. But I think that lack of a pet in my home has only grown my love for them. Whenever a friend or relative asks if I’m able to give a hand while they’re away on holiday or at work, I’m more than happy to help. Whether it be a dog or a cat, I’m pretty easy going with whatever the case is. My main line of work is being a seasonal park ranger, which entails me speaking to a large amount of the public using the outdoor space, usually with pets, so I have a lot of experience with new dogs and picking up on signs. As I previously mentioned before, I’m a seasonal park ranger for work and since it’s the off season my days are all mostly free’d up! Apart from a small break in the Christmas period from 24th - 4th Jan. I don’t take care of pets in my own home as it doesn’t mix with certain family members, but more than happy to sit at the owners residence during all hours. I’m happy to feed, walk, play, wash, and spend time with your pets, making sure they get the attention and care they need. On the other hand, if your pet is more of the type of animal that just needs some space and a caring eye watching to make sure they’re happy and comfortable, that’s a position I’m happy to fill as well.

About: Hello, my name is Rachel, and I'd love to spend time with your pup :) I moved Perth this summer after a few years in Edinburgh. I had a lot of great 'clients' in Edinburgh, and am looking for new four-legged pals to look after and have fun with around here. Put simply, I love dogs (and cats!) and they make me very happy - and they seem to like me too :) Past experience: I grew up with a dog called Digby, a Norfolk Terrier, soon after we lost him we got a Romanian rescue dog, Florence, who is still going strong but is still quite anxious. My family have also fostered a number of rescue dogs so I am very familiar with looking after those of a more nervous disposition, and building their trust slowly. Having done lots of pet sitting throughout my life (including cats) and using Borrowmydoggy, I joined Rover to share my services more widely. About me: I am approachable, trustworthy and reliable. I love spending time in nature; I am a landscape painter so the surrounding areas provide significant creative inspiration to me. I have a car and am located in central Perth, very close to the river and the South Inch park, with lots of nice local walks nearby. I do work full-time currently but I am able to be flexible on office days. I am able to balance affection and fun with routine and discipline where necessary. I am in a first-floor flat, no garden but very close to green space. My flat is clean and smoke-free. I live on my own, and pets are welcome on the sofa and bed if they are allowed!

I messaged Sean rather late at night asking if he would take Freya for a walk, he replied with the hour and we organised for him to take Freya for a walk at 7am the next day. He arrived early and took Freya without hesitation. I’m always worried when someone new takes her as she’s a big German shepherd who can be reactive towards dogs. About: Having had my own dogs for my whole life, I know the dediciation and care involved in properly looking after your dog. I have experience with lots of different breeds, ranging from yorkshire terriers to cocker spaniels to great danes. Ive cared for dogs all the way from puppyhood, actively helping in all sorts of training including house-training and recall, to senior years, where a calm and comforting environment is important, and administering medication frequently is required. I usually work on a part-time basis, having a two weeks on two weeks off schedule, so I have loads of free time to support yours dogs when you aren't available to, whether this is just checking in and giving them a walk, or house sitting. Throughout my time caring for dogs, I've gone from having no garden to a not-secure garden to a secure garden. I know the importance of having frequent fresh air and exercise, as well as many opportunities to relieve themselves. I think interacting and playing with dogs is great enrichment for them, as well as keeping each other company in quieter moments throughout the day. Depending on the dogs, I love to talk dogs on longer nature walks, but I have lots of experience walking them around busy roads. I also have experience walking dogs with no recall, or reactive dogs, and knowing when is a good time to hold them on a shorter lead.

About: I grew up around dogs, training and caring for them has always been a huge part of my life. I've cared for and owned various breeds, of all sizes, so I have a great understanding of different dogs and their behaviours. This helps me ensure they are happy, comfortable & getting what they need. I live in a one bedroom flat with my dachshund, Jasper, located coviently close to a park, and also have direct access to an enclosed garden from my flat. So we're in the perfect spot for dogs to have a long walk and play around the park, or if the weather doesn't allow then cuddles and games at home on the sofa. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I am currently working part-time and have plenty of time to look after your dogs. I do dog walking, day care or dog sitting in my home, alongside my own little dog I have a fully enclosed garden so the dogs can play safely outdoors. When inside I will provide the care they need based on your recommendation. Happy to accommodate crates and administer oral medication, etc.

About: I take care of my dog from time to time now that i stay in Perth, I now look after my friends dogs help train, walk and play with them. I have had a dog for my whole life and take care of her with nice long walks in the afternoon and two 20 minute walks morning and night and feeding and playing with her. I also have a cat called Broxi, ive looked after him my whole life (19 years) i play, feed and clean up after him(cats tray) I am open to try training pets as i trained my Siberian husky and loved every second of it. For example, sitting for treats,sitting by the road, to howl when wanting out. I really love animals and looking after them i may 19 years old but i love pets. Im also open to changes in times for walks or looking after pets. I do work part as well so i will try work my away round my and your schedule. I work 5 days a week, i would be looking to do this part time. My normal days off are Thursday and Sunday but i dont mind doing nights. Depending on the dog if its a puppy safeguard the house to ensure the puppy cant eat anything, big dogs is all about having space for them to be and older dogs is making sure they have somewhere to be comfortable.

About: I have always been an animal lover! I’m currently studying HND animal care, already having achieved my HNC. I have previously volunteered with a dog trainer, I am also currently volunteering a a local rescue shelter. I love spending time with these dogs, and walk them once a week. I’ve had dogs in my home since I was 4, and grew up learning how to care for them. I hope to use my qualification to be able to work with animals full time in the future. I’m currently studying animal care at college, most of my classes are online so I have plenty time to look after pets! I only work part time once a week on Saturdays so am unavailable then. I have a fenced large garden with plenty space for running around. My own dog loves to play so your dog would return tired! Pets are part of the family, and are treated so accordingly in my house.

About: I work as a veterinary care assistant in a vet hospital where I am responsible for feeding, walking, grooming and caring for upwards of 15+ patients daily. I care for all kinds of cats and dogs, no matter the size or breed, and every life stage. I have a HNC in Animal Care where I learnt everything from welfare to first aid, nutrition to anatomy and physiology. I’m currently working full time at the veterinary hospital. I work backshift so I am available to look after pets any time up until 1pm Monday - Friday and I am available all day on weekends When looking after your fur baby’s in your home, I like to stick to their regular routine as much as possible to keep them stress free and comfortable while your away. I do this by feeding and walking them at their usual time and administering any medication as required. I will keep them company, provide mental stimulation and playtime.
