About: Hello, my name is Margaret. I live 10 minutes away from the centre of Perth, so I'm in a great location to travel and help out with your pets at short notice. I'm also happy to do small household tasks like taking the bins in/out and closing/opening curtains if required while you are away. As a cat owner and previous user of cat sitter services, I know how important it is to have a proactive and caring person available to look after your pet. My own cat is an 11 year old boy called Louie who had a period of ill health several years ago, so I am experienced at looking after cats with medical issues. I am happy to pop in to say hello and establish your cat's needs before you leave. She looked after our two Cavalier King Charles spaniels for a week in our home and not only did she take amazing care of them, but also our home. “This our first time using a dog sitting service and we were very happy with Amaris. No issues at all. Even though she was sick at the start of the dog sitting she still looked after them and kept us updated (usually on how naughty the puppy had been) but they were fed and cuddled and seemed to be happy around Amaris which was our biggest worry as this was bew to both us and the dogs. They are big boisterous dogs (60kg adult and 35kg 8 month old) so it was pleasing to have someone who was able to manage them.”

About: I've interacted with dogs all my life. I have always had a special connection with dogs. I have experience with dogs from weeks old all the way to the ripe old age of 16 years old. I have trained rescue dogs with aggression issues, including older dogs like Charlie, my departed Collie who I rescued when he was 10 years old. He went from aggressive on the lead to walking safely off the lead within 6 months. My primary occupation is as a live at home carer and I am.also a freelance journalist. I am incredibly flexible and have plenty free time. I live in the perfect place for dogs. I have a fenced garden and live 500 feet from Broughty Ferry's stunning waterfront which offers a variety of stunning walks to take pooch's on.

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. My first pet was a Dalmatian called Tessa when I was four years old, and she quickly became my best friend. Growing up, I also spent lots of time helping to care for my gran’s dogs, taking them on walks and learning how to look after them. My dream job was always to be a vet, and I even used to watch Cesar Millan religiously because I was fascinated by dog behaviour. I have a family dog who is a 16-year-old Border Collie called Blu (you’ll spot him in my profile picture!). I trained him myself, and he’s the sweetest, best-behaved boy. When I was around 12, I walked a neighbour’s dog every day after school, and ever since then I’ve loved caring for other people’s pets. These days I regularly look after my mother-in-law’s Cockapoo as well as dogs and cats for family friends. I’ve been pet sitting for the same family for the past couple of years, and it’s what inspired me to join Rover. Although I don’t currently have a dog living with me, that’s only because I want to wait until I’m in a house before getting one of my own. I genuinely miss having a dog around and love spending time outdoors on long walks. My grandad always used to say I had “animals on the brain”—and he wasn’t wrong! At work, everyone knows how much I love dogs. If they can’t find me, they joke that they just need to look for the nearest dog! While I didn’t grow up with cats, pet sitting has made me very confident caring for them too, and I’ve really grown to love their unique personalities. I work full-time as a Housing Officer, but I have a very flexible job and often work from home, so I can fit my schedule around your pet’s needs. I live in a clean, second-floor, one-bedroom flat with access to a shared garden. As there are no other pets living in my block,it’s a calm environment where your pet can feel safe and relaxed. I understand that every pet is different, so I’m happy to follow your usual routine as closely as possible, whether that’s feeding schedules, medication, exercise, playtime or simply lots of cuddles. If your dog is crate trained, I’m happy to use a crate if that’s part of their normal routine. When caring for pets in your home, I’ll respect both your home and your pet’s routine, making sure they feel comfortable, secure and well looked after while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you have complete peace of mind.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for most of my life. I’ve had big dogs, and puppy sat small dogs. I love animals, and always pay close attention to their boundaries. I’ve cared for foster dogs as well. My experience starts from 9 years old when I adopted my puppy. Ever since then I fed, bathed, and walked the dogs in my house. At the moment I am away on vacation. It may take me a few hours to reply since there is a time difference. I am a university student so I don’t have classes until September. Except for planned vacations I am available because I don’t currently have a weekly routine. How I take care of your pet will be dependent on the needs and desires that you specify. If you want me to follow a strict schedule then I will. Guidance is preferred since I do not know your pet as well as you do I would like to know what is important for their care.

About: I was raised in a house full of different animals and for the last 20 years I have had dogs, cats, rabbits, gecko & horse. I have experience in looking after small to extra large dogs. I was a fosterer with Thistle Boxer Rescue for 3 years and became a trustee (lead rehomer) matching rescues with their forever family. This was the most rewarding experience ever! I have experience in challenging behaviours and believe in reward based training. My only ask is that any behavioural issues are disclosed before pick up/drop off such as wanting to eat my cat (1 eyed feline who thinks she runs the house) this decreases any risks and helps me to understand the dog better and provide better care. I also like to borrow my friends and family’s dogs just because I like the furry hugs. I like to make sure that all dogs feel loved. I have a variety of walking areas local to me and will work around the needs of the dogs. I am currently not working so will be able to fully focus on any dog that is in my care. Going for walks, playing with toys and snuggling on the couch if that’s what they want. I look after all animals in my care as my own, with love and with lots of fun. I treat others home and property with care and respect.

About: I have taken care of my friend's Labrador cross rescue here and there for two years now. my responsibilities included dog walking, feeding, toilet runs, giving her medication, doing runs in the car, and showering her with love and attention. I am currently a full-time nursing student at UoD and have classes throughout the week but I am usually free Thursday to Monday. If I do have to go to a lecture it is usually no more than two hours. In my home with the cats we feed the cats 3 times a day and get let in for attention usually after breakfast and stay in the house (they are outside cats) until their next meal and then go out to eat in the garage while we eat in the house and when everyone is done they are let back in. When petsitting for my friend, we would usually go for 1-2 walks a day and spend most of our time playing in the back garden or driving around with her head out the window. At night we would sit and cuddle together while watching TV and then she would sleep in her bed overnight.
