“Kirsty looked after Izzy for two days, and she was great, arranging a meet and greet beforehand too. Izzy was very well looked after and I received regular updates from Kirsty. I'd definitely book for Izzy to be looked after by Kirsty again. Thanks so much!”

“Rhona was an absolute superstar ! She saved us at the last minute and was calm and experienced throughout all communications. Frida had an amazing time with her and we can’t thank her enough. The house is spotless and we have a very happy dog! 🐶 Thank you so much Rhona - we would not hesitate in recommending you 😍 x”

“Would absolutely recommend Sarah! She was so warm and caring and Sadie had a fabulous time with her. Our return time was an hour later than we had anticipated and she was so kind to stay until we got home which was very much appreciated ❤️”

“Fiona was great! She was quick to get back to us when we were hoping to book. She came round for a cup of tea so she could meet the wee pooch and us. This was ideal as it allowed us a chance to get to know Fiona and exchange info about the dog/house. Whilst we were away, she kept in touch to let us know how everything was going. She very kindly bought cheese slices to disguise our dogs daily medication which we had completely forgotten to sort out or explain! In the photos Tilly looked to be having a lovey time cosied up when home with Fiona and she looked delighted when out adventuring on different walks. The house was in perfect condition when we got home- Fiona even stripped the bed! I would definitely recommend her; reliable, great with communication whilst keeping our pooch happy and healthy.”

“Charlene was an absolute star! 🌟 Could not of asked for anyone better to look after my fur baby. From start to finish she made me feel completely at ease with leaving Meg for the night. Already booked her next overnight, and Meg can’t wait to see her again! 🥰”

“Sam was great with our greyhound, and we would love to have him back again. He's very kind and friendly, and our dog was very happy around him. Kept to our dogs schedule perfectly, and gave regular updates. Couldn't have asked for anything more!”

“Megan was brilliant while we were away. She stayed at our house for the week and took such lovely care of Frances—it was really clear how comfortable and happy she’d been when we got back. It made such a difference knowing everything was in good hands while we were gone. We’d happily have Megan back anytime and would definitely recommend her.”

About: I've always had pets and have always loved animals. I have had two dogs, two cats, hamsters and rabbits and have also looked after a pigeon at one point. You will never catch me walking past a snail on the path. I have been looking after 2 gorgeous cats for some neighbours for the past couple of years and they have always been happy with the result. That being two happy and healthy kitties. I have completed doggy First aid training and am insured and police checked for piece of mind. I am currently doing this as my full time job. I am fortunate enough that I am currently in the position to do this full time so I will be available most days. I am very reliable and trustworthy and will keep your pet happy and safe when I am staying with them. I will make sure to follow any instructions thay are provided for them by the owner.
“Fantastic service once again from Justine, We’ve come home to the dogs happy and relaxed at being kept in their own surroundings! Justine kept us updated on how they were doing while we were away and we also received lots of photos :-) Will definitely book Justine again and would highly recommend her”

“Hazel and Daniel are perfect house sitters, caring and attentive with our mini sausage Daphne. It was only the second time looking after her and despite Daphne being anxious sometimes, she instantly recognised them and settled straight away. Such a relief to have found such super sitters and they’re definitely on Daphne’s trusted humans list. 😊Highly recommended!”

“Yasmina cared for our two cats in our own home and they were both well looked after, daily communication and photos received was very much appreciated, Would highly recommend and use again. Thank you Yasmina.”

“I can’t recommend Katie highly enough, she is superb. She looked after our two Cavalier King Charles spaniels for a week in our home and not only did she take amazing care of them, but also our home. She sent frequent updates and it was easy to relax while we were away as it was clear from the photos and videos, that both of our pups were very happy and relaxed with her. It is clear from the first time we met, Katie has a genuine love of animals and our two instantly took to her. We would not hesitate to book with Katie again😊”
“Sarah looked after Roman, who suffered complications from his neutering operation. I was nervous about leaving him with someone while I went to work, but I shouldn't have been! Sarah was great; she promptly arrived on time, and the minute she met Roman, I knew she would take good care of him. She kept me up to date throughout the day, and there were no issues at all. I requested that Sarah prevent Roman from licking his incision (which is not an easy task as he has found a way to get to it even wearing two cones of shame!)However, I arrived home to a very happy, content kitty who had not licked his wound all day. I will definitely use Sarah for cat sitting duties again. Roman loved her so much he spent most of last night waiting at the door for her to come back!”

“Tess and Sean were lovely. It was our first time leaving our recently adopted dog home while we were away for the day and were very nervous about it, but Tess was great and our doggie was very settled when we got home. Communication was clear and timely. We will not hesitate to book Tess and Sean again to look after him.”

“Naomi looked after our dogs and house so well. She came before the sit to do a meet and greet, and the dogs were very comfortable around her. Naomi followed their routine and provided enrichment for them, she sent daily updates and photos. The dogs were calm and relaxed when we arrived home, always a good sign! And the house was spotless - we can highly recommend Naomi and will be booking her again before long!”

“Tara looked after Wesley at short notice and agreed to a drop in visit to meet him and understand his needs. Wesley is diabetic and Tara was happy to give him his insulin injection. I was nervous about leaving him however Tara sent lots of photos and kept me updated. Thanks again for taking care of him Tara, we will definitely be back in touch soon!”

About: Every pet has a personality as unique as their paw print, and I know that first-hand. Hi, I’m Lou, an experienced dog walker and pet sitter who truly gets small breeds. I share my home with four beloved sighthounds: two whippets and two Italian greyhounds, so I’ve learned just how special, quirky, and wonderfully unique toy breeds and sighthounds are. Their tender hearts, playful spirits, and diva attitudes deserve care that’s patient, respectful, and joyful. Over the years I’ve also cared for other toy breeds, as well as growing up on a farm working and showing terriers and collies. I used to have cats of my own, and I often look after my friends’ pets too — so I’m comfortable with both tails and whiskers! What I bring to the table: 🐶 Personalized walks that honour breed needs — especially for toy breeds and sighthounds 🐱 Calm, affectionate care for cats — whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or litter routines 💖 A gentle, intuitive approach to nervous or quirky pets who prefer slow hellos 📸 Regular photo updates so you can see your pet smiling while you’re away 🛋️ A safe, relaxed human for stays or drop-in visits I know how hard it can be to trust someone with the ones you love. That’s why I focus on building a calm, fun, and dependable relationship with every animal in my care — so you’ll both feel happy and confident. Let’s give your pet care that feels like family 💕🐾 I work from home mon-fri so can take my lunch breaks when needed to walk or visit your fur babies. My partner also helps me when he’s not at work ☺️ In my home my dogs are always roaming the house we don’t have an enclosed garden so they only get out on the lead however in your home I’m happy to follow instructions weather it be to crate your pet, give them some love, play with, feed and water, take outside etc ☺️
“Rachel and Josh were fabulous with Cleo, our German shepherd. We received regular updates and it was clear that Cleo was happy and well looked after. Came back to a very clean, tidy house and a happy, healthy dog, so we would not hesitate to recommend!”

“Taking care of 3 lively dogs is no easy undertaking. Lucy kept them all active and entertained while we enjoyed a long weekend away. Got regular updates and photographs. Was great to see them relaxed and enjoying her attention”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Kinross walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kinross choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
