About: I grew up with dogs and cats, so I’m very aware of their needs & requirements. I tailor my approach to each pet’s individual needs to ensure they feel safe, happy, and cared for 😊 Despite working full-time, I can offer dog walks and dog visits during the week on days I work from home. If you need a dog walker during the day while you’re at work, give me a shout! When caring for pets at your home or my house, I ensure to follow any specific instructions provided. This includes feeding, walks, & most importantly playtime! If caring for pets at my own house, I have a garden space for the zoomies and toilet breaks! Also a comfortable space will be set up for them with their essentials like food, water, bedding and toys. Regular walks, playtime sessions and cuddles (if they enjoy them!) will be provided throughout the day. 😊
“Sarah was absolutely fantastic looking after my dog, Ricky. She was caring, reliable, and went above and beyond - even staying longer when I was delayed in traffic. Ricky was so happy and relaxed when I got home, which says it all! I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and kind to look after their pet. 🐾❤️”

“Excellent service from Justine, warm & friendly and just loved the dogs They both seemed to be very happy & content with her, lots of photos sent and regular updates so I was happy too ☺️ Will definitely be requesting Justine again!”

About: I grew up surrounded by a variety of animals - dogs, cats, horses, alpacas, sheep, poultry, and tropical fish - and have always had a deep love on animals. I have always had a dog in my life and have owner-experience of Border Collies, German Shepherds, Springer Spaniels and I currently have a young Cocker Spaniel who I enjoy training and taking on adventurous walks. I work away so I am not always available, however when I am at home I am available all day everyday so can dedicate whatever time is needed to the animals in my care. I am happy to visit the dog or cat in their own home, feed, take for walks or toilet breaks, and play. I will always treat the dog and their home with care and respect. I am happy to take the dog in my car to a more interesting walk location, but only if the owner is happy for this to happen. Walkies can be with my dog or own their own, whichever suits the individual best. For house sitting services, I have a campervan which I would prefer to stay in at your property as I have my own dog.
“Abigael is amazing. We had previously relied on relatives looking after our dog. But they’re getting on a bit now. And our dog, now 10yrs and quite naturally anxious made us not very keen to try too hard for alternative arrangements. But we were in a situation whereby we really needed someone to look after our dog and landed on unbelievable luck, finding Abigael. She is kind, follows nuances of detail that come with an older dog used to his ways! Abigael put us at ease immediately (and our dog!) and we felt we could trust her right away too. We would 💯 recommend Abigael. And might even plan a few trips now… as long as she is free!!”

“Rhona was an absolute superstar ! She saved us at the last minute and was calm and experienced throughout all communications. Frida had an amazing time with her and we can’t thank her enough. The house is spotless and we have a very happy dog! 🐶 Thank you so much Rhona - we would not hesitate in recommending you 😍 x”

“Charlene was an absolute star! 🌟 Could not of asked for anyone better to look after my fur baby. From start to finish she made me feel completely at ease with leaving Meg for the night. Already booked her next overnight, and Meg can’t wait to see her again! 🥰”

“Yasmina cared for our two cats in our own home and they were both well looked after, daily communication and photos received was very much appreciated, Would highly recommend and use again. Thank you Yasmina.”

“Madelyn, is incredible. She looks after my two crazy pugs and they absolutely love her, the excitement when she arrives rival my own welcome. She follows their normal routine, ensures they get everything they need and keeps me up to date along the way. She is always on time and I’ve never had any issues. Madelyn is now and will be (until she says no) Odin and Floki’s permanent dog sitter. So glad to have found her. I would recommend her to anyone with dogs wanting a caring and well experienced dog sitter.”

“Beth looked after our Merlin overnight and did a wonderful job. She briefly visited to get to know him beforehand, and Merlin felt relaxed around her as if he had known her for years from the moment she walked in the door, she just oozed positivity. We were very happy with Beth's work. she kindly updated us about how our dog was getting on, which also put my mind at ease. We can highly recommend Beth to other dog owners who value their dog being looked after professionally and with a lot of love!”

“Shanice was great looking after our nervous 7 year old Border Collie and 8 year old cheeky Lhasa apso. We got lots of photos and were happy knowing they were both being very well looked after. Wouldn’t hesitate to book Shanice again.”

“I strongly recommend Hannah as a pet-sitter. She really bonded with my dog during the initial visit. She listened carefully to the information I provided. She took loving care of my dog during the stay, and sent regular updates to me while I was away. Hannah also left the house just as she found it.”

“Fiona was great! She was quick to get back to us when we were hoping to book. She came round for a cup of tea so she could meet the wee pooch and us. This was ideal as it allowed us a chance to get to know Fiona and exchange info about the dog/house. Whilst we were away, she kept in touch to let us know how everything was going. She very kindly bought cheese slices to disguise our dogs daily medication which we had completely forgotten to sort out or explain! In the photos Tilly looked to be having a lovey time cosied up when home with Fiona and she looked delighted when out adventuring on different walks. The house was in perfect condition when we got home- Fiona even stripped the bed! I would definitely recommend her; reliable, great with communication whilst keeping our pooch happy and healthy.”

About: Every pet has a personality as unique as their paw print, and I know that first-hand. Hi, I’m Lou, an experienced dog walker and pet sitter who truly gets small breeds. I share my home with four beloved sighthounds: two whippets and two Italian greyhounds, so I’ve learned just how special, quirky, and wonderfully unique toy breeds and sighthounds are. Their tender hearts, playful spirits, and diva attitudes deserve care that’s patient, respectful, and joyful. Over the years I’ve also cared for other toy breeds, as well as growing up on a farm working and showing terriers and collies. I used to have cats of my own, and I often look after my friends’ pets too — so I’m comfortable with both tails and whiskers! What I bring to the table: 🐶 Personalized walks that honour breed needs — especially for toy breeds and sighthounds 🐱 Calm, affectionate care for cats — whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or litter routines 💖 A gentle, intuitive approach to nervous or quirky pets who prefer slow hellos 📸 Regular photo updates so you can see your pet smiling while you’re away 🛋️ A safe, relaxed human for stays or drop-in visits I know how hard it can be to trust someone with the ones you love. That’s why I focus on building a calm, fun, and dependable relationship with every animal in my care — so you’ll both feel happy and confident. Let’s give your pet care that feels like family 💕🐾 I work from home mon-fri so can take my lunch breaks when needed to walk or visit your fur babies. My partner also helps me when he’s not at work ☺️ In my home my dogs are always roaming the house we don’t have an enclosed garden so they only get out on the lead however in your home I’m happy to follow instructions weather it be to crate your pet, give them some love, play with, feed and water, take outside etc ☺️
“Acacia was absolutely amazing with our dog and cat! They absolutely loved her, and had the best time with her. We knew they were safe and well looked after when we were away. She kept us regularly updated, and our house was spotless when we came home! Our two were so happy 🥰”

“Naomi looked after our dogs and house so well. She came before the sit to do a meet and greet, and the dogs were very comfortable around her. Naomi followed their routine and provided enrichment for them, she sent daily updates and photos. The dogs were calm and relaxed when we arrived home, always a good sign! And the house was spotless - we can highly recommend Naomi and will be booking her again before long!”

“Sarah was great and so accommodating when she looked after my 2 husky's Demon and Keiko and my daughters spaniel Bella in our house whilst we were on holiday for 2 weeks. My 2 have never been left and I was a bit apprehensive leaving them as they are a bit demanding but I had nothing at all to worry about, the puppies loved her and everything was great on our return. She kept in touch with us sending pics and texts on a daily basis, really put my mind at ease. Can't say enough good things about Sarah. Would definitely recommend and will be having her back very soon. Thanks Sarah for everything xx”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Kinross walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kinross choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
