About: I have always been an animal lover! I have just finished my HND animal care qualification and passed. I currently work in a boarding kennels and I am also volunteering a a local rescue shelter. I love spending time with these dogs, and walk them once a week. I’ve had dogs in my home since I was 4, and grew up learning how to care for them. I hope to use my qualification to be able to work with animals full time in the future. I’m currently studying animal care at college, most of my classes are online so I have plenty time to look after pets! I only work part time once a week on Saturdays so am unavailable then. I have a fenced large garden with plenty space for running around. My own dog loves to play so your dog would return tired! Pets are part of the family, and are treated so accordingly in my house.

O left a key out for Charlene when we were away to drop in and card fof Isla. She responded very promptly to messages. Followed all that I had asked of her and updated me after first visit to reassure me and sent pictures which was appreciated . Charliene has a gentle. Quiet demeanor which isla responded well to.

About: Every pet has a personality as unique as their paw print, and I know that first-hand. Hi, I’m Lou, an experienced dog walker and pet sitter who truly gets small breeds. I share my home with four beloved sighthounds: two whippets and two Italian greyhounds, so I’ve learned just how special, quirky, and wonderfully unique toy breeds and sighthounds are. Their tender hearts, playful spirits, and diva attitudes deserve care that’s patient, respectful, and joyful. Over the years I’ve also cared for other toy breeds, as well as growing up on a farm working and showing terriers and collies. I used to have cats of my own, and I often look after my friends’ pets too — so I’m comfortable with both tails and whiskers! What I bring to the table: 🐶 Personalized walks that honour breed needs — especially for toy breeds and sighthounds 🐱 Calm, affectionate care for cats — whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or litter routines 💖 A gentle, intuitive approach to nervous or quirky pets who prefer slow hellos 📸 Regular photo updates so you can see your pet smiling while you’re away 🛋️ A safe, relaxed human for stays or drop-in visits I know how hard it can be to trust someone with the ones you love. That’s why I focus on building a calm, fun, and dependable relationship with every animal in my care — so you’ll both feel happy and confident. Let’s give your pet care that feels like family 💕🐾 I work from home mon-fri so can take my lunch breaks when needed to walk or visit your fur babies. My partner also helps me when he’s not at work ☺️ In my home my dogs are always roaming the house we don’t have an enclosed garden so they only get out on the lead however in your home I’m happy to follow instructions weather it be to crate your pet, give them some love, play with, feed and water, take outside etc ☺️

I feel my cats are very very well looked after. I have a lot of confidence in leaving them with Fay and Ian. Wouldn’t want anyone else looking after my boys. And my boys seem to love it too which is very reassuring. 100% would recommend leaving your animals with Fay &Ian. Thank you so much for your excellent care xx

About: My name is ffion and I love looking after any pet. I have had dogs since I was a baby and currently look after my current dog while parents are working. I have an HNC in animal care and currently studying for a HND vet technician. I love walks and I am able to walk any dog with any behaviour and any age. I am a student in aberdeen so I study full time, I am free satarday and Sunday and if needed I can do evening. I can't look after the animals at my flat but I am can come to the owners house With my dog i walk him everyday, I will feed him 2 times a day. Providing good enrichment is really important for me so I will always make sure to play with him. With other dogs I make sure I get to know them slowly if they are nervous and always make note of any behaviours which could indicate they aren't comfortable for any reason

About: Hey 👋! We’re Sam and Evie, based in Bonnington Evie owns our flat, so we’re not renting and have full flexibility in how we run our home and care for dogs staying with us. We both work from home (Evie a couple of days a week in the office), which means there’s always someone around. Your dog won’t be left alone for long stretches and will have consistent care and supervision throughout the day. We live right beside Pilrig Park and the Water of Leith, so regular walks in green space are part of our routine. We love getting outdoors and being active, so dogs staying with us get plenty of fresh air, exercise and attention. We’ve looked after family dogs for years, including our “nephew” Rory, a cockapoo who regularly stays with us. Evie grew up with two Cairn terriers. They were lovely house dogs but not easy off the lead and not always comfortable around young children, so she’s very used to being alert outside, managing recall carefully and reading behaviour properly. Between that and Rory, who is very sociable and affectionate, we’ve experienced the full spectrum i.e. from highly friendly dogs to those who prefer their own space. When we lived in Melbourne, Australia, we also cared for friends’ dogs, including rescues, so we’re comfortable adapting to different personalities and needs. We’re happy to follow any routines you already have in place, whether that’s helping a younger dog build good habits or supporting an older dog who needs a slower pace and a bit more care. Above all, we treat every dog like they’re our own and make sure they feel safe, loved and settled while you’re away. I work from home most days, and my partner Evie also works from home with flexibility, usually going into the office 2 days a week. That means one of us is almost always home during the day. Our routines complement each other too. I tend to go to the gym in the morning while Evie goes in the evening, so there’s always someone at home. Even when one of us has plans, like choir or social commitments, we'd plan around that to make sure a dog is never left alone for long. Walks, meals, and company would easily slot into our daily routines, especially being so close to Pilrig Park and the Water of Leith. We live on the top floor of a secure flat building. There’s a closed door to the lift and stairwell, so there’s no risk of a dog running straight out into open railings. Inside, we have a large living space with plenty of room to relax. I work from the spare room and my Evie works in the living room, so there’s always someone nearby and space for a dog to settle comfortably. Our flat is also a sun trap, which our “nephew” Rory the cockapoo loves when he stays with us. There’s space in the kitchen for meals, but we’re equally happy to set up bowls and a blanket in the living room so your dog can stay close to us. When Rory stays, he prefers to sleep near us and often ends up at the foot of the bed, and we’re comfortable with that. If your dog prefers their own bed in a separate room, that’s absolutely fine too. We’ll follow whatever routine makes them feel most at home. We’re also comfortable administering medication if needed. If your dog needs tablets or other medication, we’re happy to follow your instructions carefully to make sure they’re looked after properly.

Lorraine was simply the best cat carer. Super reliable and trustworthy, but most of all adores cats so our two felt super loved when we were away. Nothing was too much bother for Lorraine, even dealing with our slightly messy kittens litter! We had loads of lovely photos too of the happy duo and really made us feel ok leaving our beloved kittens at home for 3 days. Highly recommend and will 100% ask for her help again. Thanks Lorraine

About: Hi, I’m Diana! I’m 28 years old, from Toronto, Canada and have been living in Edinburgh for 3 years now. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and am very comfortable with dogs of all sizes. Growing up, I had a beautiful Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever named Murphy, followed by a Springer Spaniel and Jack Russell Terrier named Buttons and TinTin :) Now living in Leith, I am just a short walk to the Links park and have an enclosed private garden — perfect for doggy walks and playing outside! I’d love to look after your dog for daycare and/or overnight/extended stays. I work from home full-time Monday to Friday giving me the flexibility to pop out for long walks, pee breaks, and outdoor playtime any time of day. I have a fully fenced private garden that dogs can have access to all day while I’m home. I live in a townhouse with 3 floors where dogs have space to roam.

About: I’ve grown up around animals and have always loved caring for them. I’ve looked after guinea pigs, cats for neighbours and friends, and lots of family dogs. With dogs, I’ve cared for both energetic pups who enjoy long walks and adventures, as well as older dogs who need shorter, gentler outings. Lately, I’ve been walking a border collie a few times a week, taking them to the park and the beach. I love getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved. I’m self-employed and can choose my days, which means my schedule is very flexible. I’m free most days of the week and can adjust easily to your pet’s needs — whether that’s regular toilet breaks, feeding times, or long walks. I take care of pets by following the owner’s instructions for food, walks, and any meds. I give them attention and playtime, keep everything clean, and watch to make sure they’re happy and healthy. I also let the owner know how they’re doing.
