“Jody was perfect for looking after our cat. She stayed the full time (sometimes longer which was great!!) to give her lots of play and cuddles and sent us lots of pics. She left the house clean and did exactly what we asked. 100% recommend Jody and we will be booking her again”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats, so I’m very aware of their needs & requirements. I tailor my approach to each pet’s individual needs to ensure they feel safe, happy, and cared for 😊 Despite working full-time, I can offer dog walks and dog visits during the week on days I work from home. If you need a dog walker during the day while you’re at work, give me a shout! When caring for pets at your home or my house, I ensure to follow any specific instructions provided. This includes feeding, walks, & most importantly playtime! If caring for pets at my own house, I have a garden space for the zoomies and toilet breaks! Also a comfortable space will be set up for them with their essentials like food, water, bedding and toys. Regular walks, playtime sessions and cuddles (if they enjoy them!) will be provided throughout the day. 😊
“Louise has been absolutely amazing with my nervous pup. She's gone above and beyond to make sure he feels comfortable and confident around her, and he's so excited to see her every time! Cannot recommend her enough, she's a superstar.”

About: I have always been an animal lover! I have just finished my HND animal care qualification and passed. I currently work in a boarding kennels and I am also volunteering a a local rescue shelter. I love spending time with these dogs, and walk them once a week. I’ve had dogs in my home since I was 4, and grew up learning how to care for them. I hope to use my qualification to be able to work with animals full time in the future. I’ve just finished my HND animal care qualification. I’m currently working part-time at a boarding kennels facility. On my days off I love to look after dogs! I have a fenced large garden with plenty space for running around. My own dog loves to play so if yours does too, they’re able to have fun together. Pets are part of the family, and are treated so accordingly in my house.

“O left a key out for Charlene when we were away to drop in and card fof Isla. She responded very promptly to messages. Followed all that I had asked of her and updated me after first visit to reassure me and sent pictures which was appreciated . Charliene has a gentle. Quiet demeanor which isla responded well to.”

About: I am animal obsessed and have had dogs (and cats) my whole life, at one point we had more dogs than people in our house growing up, so I have gained a wealth of experience! I grew up on a farm in the outskirts of Glasgow and have a deep appreciation for animals and know that they are a part of the family. You can be rest assured I will look after your pets like they are my own! I currently have 1 male, very playful and friendly (unneutered) Irish red setter and two ragdoll cats (it will be easy enough for me to separate the cats and even dogs into another part of the house if necessary). I currently work from home every day except Wednesdays, so your dog will have plenty of company and attention throughout the day. They won’t be left alone for long periods, and I also have ample space in my home where they can enjoy some quiet time if they prefer to relax on their own. I live right next to the golf course and beautiful Loch Leven, which means your dog will benefit from scenic and enriching walks in a peaceful, natural setting for our lunchtime strolls. Whether you’re looking for daytime care or overnight stays, I’m happy to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for your pup. I have a secure, enclosed garden that’s perfect for regular toilet breaks and safe outdoor time. I’m able to take dogs on a good hour-long walk either before I start work or during my lunch break, giving them plenty of exercise and stimulation. Your dog will be guaranteed lots of love and attention—whether that’s cuddles (if they’re into that), playtime with my friendly pup, or space to roam and relax. As a huge animal lover, nothing makes me happier than seeing pets content and well cared for. You can trust that your dog will receive the highest level of care in a warm, welcoming environment.

“Claire was great. She sent me photos and videos of my cats. They were well cared for, fed, watered, entertained and litter tray sorted. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her or use her services again.”
“Amanda was amazing. She gave me a lot of confidence right away, and Bruno absolutely loved her from the moment he met her. She was calm, friendly, and clearly experienced with dogs. It was very reassuring to know he was in such good hands. I would definitely book with Amanda again and highly recommend her.😊”

“Perfect drop in to scoop the litter trays, change the water, play with and feed my cats. Arrived on time and good feedback about how they were doing. Followed instructions and stayed a little longer than planned as they were having fun. Will book Shauni again!”

About: I looked after my family dogs and friends dogs too. I had lots of pets in the past because I love animals and I had a field. I work from home and have a lovely dog. I live by the meadows and take my dog for amazing walks. It is an opportunity to enjoy the company of best human friends in a pleasant atmosphere. Dogs who came here had the time of their lives. Friends suggested me I should be looking after dogs. I have a lovely dog. I work from home flexible hours so they are all day with me, right next to me getting cuddles and attention and exercise. About: Having grown up surrounded by dogs and being lucky enough to travel and volunteer with animals in both Kenya and Australia, I've always adored animals of all shapes and sizes and am not phased by everything that can come with loving and looking after animals. I was also incredibly lucky to spend some time last year with a special family in Aberdeenshire helping look after 14 rescue horses and 7 dogs where I enjoyed learning how to read animals' body language and behaviour. I'm currently taking a career break, having previously managed a mental health charity, so have plenty of time for long beach walks, hikes in the hills, exploring local parks and cuddles at home. I love looking after animals like they're my own and have lots of friends in Edinburgh with lovely dogs so your dog/s in particular would have lots of pups to meet for walks if they wanted some new friends and different stimulation. I'd be delighted to dog / cat sit in your home as well as my own in the centre of Edinburgh. I've previously rented out my home so I really understand the value of having someone in your home who will take care of it and keep it safe. I'd be really happy to provide other references having not been with Rover long and having been off the app for a year whilst I was unavailable. I've been helping walk two gorgeous labs for the past 7 years and on asking their Dad for a reference he kindly sent back - “responsible, kind, observant, reliable, fun and loyal.” Feel free to drop me a message anytime with any questions -
“Excellent care of my boys (Hugo and Winston). Can be stressed cats so was a bit anxious about how they may be. Faye reassured me they were fine with pictures, giving me daily updates. I would not hesitate to ask Faye and Ian to look after my cats again. Cannot thank them enough was excellent.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
