About: I’ve been lucky enough to spend years around dogs, personally and professionally. I worked with and trained military dogs, which gave me a deep respect for how smart, loyal, and unique each dog is. That experience taught me a lot about patience, consistency, and how to build trust with animals. Outside of that, I’ve always had dogs of my own until recently, so caring for them has just been a natural part of my life. I know how much they mean to us, and I treat every pup in my care like family—whether that’s making sure they get plenty of exercise, keeping up with routines, or just giving them love and attention. Because I’m self-employed, my schedule is very flexible and I can easily adjust to fit your pet’s needs. Whether it’s daily walks, drop-ins, or extended care, I have the time to make sure your pup gets plenty of attention, exercise, and love. I’m happy to work around your routine so your dog feels comfortable and cared for every day. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. When I’m caring for pets in your home, I make sure to follow your routines closely so everything feels familiar and stress-free for them. I pay close attention to details—whether that’s sticking to feeding schedules, giving medications if needed, or keeping their favourite toys and spots part of the day. Because of my background working with military dogs, I’m very mindful about handling, training, and reading a dog’s body language. I know how to keep pets safe on walks, in new environments, and around other animals. Most importantly, I treat every dog like they’re my own—earning their trust with patience, love, and consistency.
“Matthew drops in to see my two excitable Staffies every week. He is very good at dealing with their exuberant natures, and follows our instructions to the letter. He leaves very happy dogs on his way out.”

About: I am Giulia, I live with my partner and our corgi Mortimer in a flat in the heart of Edinburgh. We are close to The Meadow (if your buddies love to meet new friends), Holyrood Park (if they prefer a more peaceful and calm park) and to a small park just behind the flat, perfect for a wee walk. Mortimer is very friendly and always happy to spend time with new dog friends :) I have always had huge love for animals and especially dogs. Since I was younger I volunteered at my local shelter back in Italy, taking care of dogs and walk them. This experience has been very important to me, I had the chance to learn how to approach many dogs with different personalities, and also with no-longer-puppies with trust issues. It has been years since we started dog boarding and walking and it has been a great experience. We will do our best to provide a loving home for your furry best friends while you are away! We want to keep your dog's routine as much stable as we can, providing as much cuddles, exercise and play as he/she needs! :) I can't wait to know your furry fellas! I work full time but I have a flexible schedule and can work remotely if needed. I usually give my dog a long walk/play in the morning and after work, and a shorter one at lunch and before going to bed. My flat is close to The Meadow (if your buddies love to meet new friends), Holyrood Park (if they prefer a more peaceful and calm park) and to a small park just behind the flat, perfect for a wee walk.
About: I grew up with a dog and I have taken care of numerous dogs of family members and friends. I have taken them for walks as well as overnight stays and it was always very enjoyable. I have extensive experience with rescues from both personal and professional life. I currently have weekly walks with a greyhound but I have also had regulars over the years of all breeds (border collies, labs and various rescues). I'm currently working as a part-time freelance so my schedule is quite open and flexible. I also enjoy having a reason to go out of the house and spend time with pets. I live in a house in a very central location that's literally a few minutes away from various parks so I can easily take a dog for a walk or day out there. In terms of general care, I enjoy spending time with dogs on their own terms whether that means some relaxing time and pets or hours of walking/hiking/playing in the park.
“Thanks Bronagh and Kathryn for taking great care of our cat last week. She clearly enjoyed her time with you as i could tell from the pictures. Thanks for the good communication too.”

“Thank you to Adam for doing such a great job! He came in every day to feed, give meds and company to my cat while I was away on a two week vacation. Adam kept in touch with daily updates and photos which really gave me peace of mind that Digby was happy and well looked after. I would not hesitate to recommend Adam to look after your pet.”

I have lots of flat space for your pet to play around and rest. I have no other distracting animals and no other people my full attention will be on your dog.
About: I’ve helped to look after my family dog for over 7 years, including walking, feeding, washing and training her when she was a puppy. I am used to walking in all weather conditions :) I am a university student who would love to look after dogs alongside my studies :) Feel free ask about my availability more specifically if necessary. I am happy to help in which ever way is best for your dog and will gladly follow any instructions to the best of my ability :)
“Daria checked in on my cat Oscar whilst we were away, I returned home to a very happy cat and lovely tidy flat. The updates we received were very detailed and reassuring, accompanied with lovely photos of Oscar looking very content in Daria’s company. Will not hesitate to book Daria in again for future pet care and would 100% recommend Daria to anyone looking for a pet sitter. Thanks again Daria ☺️”

About: Since I was 14, I've been working with for dogs who have anxiety/behavior issues, administering pills & flea treatment to cats and dogs, looking after pets who have just been spayed, and adhering to individualised feeding schedules. I also grew up with pet rabbits and chickens, and would be happy to sit for them, or learn how to take care of other types of animals, such as birds, goats, and reptiles. The more time I spend with animals, the better :) I'm looking for long-term positions housesitting for 1+ months at a time, with a few extra dog walking gigs on the side. My care patterns vary widely based on pets' individual needs. I give all the pets under my care as much affection as they want, and follow their owner's instructions on what food and exercise to give them. I also take cleaning up after them very seriously, and make sure to maintain tidiness and good hygiene in the houses I sit for.
About: For the last 19 years of my life dogs have been an important part of it. They are not “ just animals” for me, they are family, dogs are living creatures deserving of love, care and respect. I have experience with small to medium big dogs. Ive had taken care of puppys to senior dogs. I know how to walk them, give medicine if needed. My schedule at the moment is mostly free on weekends (fri -sun) for drop ins or long walks, also can take care of them on weekends if needed requested in advance. I currently live in a flat so i could potentially take care of small sized dogs here but happy to watch out for bigger in their own homes.
“Honor is very friendly and professional. She came to meet Poupette before her drop in visit. She followed all the care instructions I gave her, and she kept me updated with photos and explanations of how everything went. I highly recommend Honor, and I am happy to have found a serious pet sitter that appreciate spending time with my Poupette. Thank you Honor. 😊”

Edinburgh pet owners share their Rover experiences
Madeleine was fab, Sheldon was well cared for when I was on holiday with daily updates, pics and he got loads of cuddles. Hes is super spoilt and loves attention so I was more than happy with how attentive and caring Madeleine was with him. Highly recommended
I felt relaxed as soon as I met Luisa, her communicating is excellent and her care. She came in and looked after Mitsie and sent me lots of pictures and videos, reassuring me, all was well. For any pet care, we worry about our furry friends when we go away, I had to go short notice for a funeral, and having Luisa look after Mitsie took all the stress away.. would thoroughly recommend, and hope she is available for any future trips I have, would feel happy and relieved to have her here.. very happy 😊
Kathryn took excellent care of our cat Juno! She was extremely professional and easy to communicate with in the lead up to our booking. Juno warmed up her right away. Kathryn took our requests on board and was lovely to work with - I would highly recommend her.

Victoria was an incredible sitter! She responded for quickly to a last-minute request and did an amazing job taking care of our two cats. She sent lots of photos and videos so we knew they were well taken care of. We will definitely use her services again in the future!

Sonia took care of our two cats while we travelled for almost two weeks. Our cats had never been left alone, and were very dependent on me and my partner. Sonia was excellent in taking care of them, made a genuine bond with them and they were so happy and healthy when we came back. Sonia messaged us daily with updates and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. I would not hesitate to ever book with Sonia again, I genuinely feel like we found a gem!
