Animal lover looking to make new furry friends🐶🐱
Hi, My name is Sarah and I have spent most of my life, in some way or another, caring for animals. I have looked after my own pets as well as minded my neighbours' pets. I have been volunteering at an animal shelter since 2014 both on site in the cattery and the rehabilitation centre and fostering at home. To expand my knowledge I attended a Veterinary Science short course at University in 2012 and completed an Animal Care Course in 2014. I fostered kittens and puppies in their early stages of development, cats and dogs in need of extra care after surgery, those requiring special medical care for a period of time and those who need some extra TLC and socialisation.

Sarah was brilliant. Great communication with lots of pics and videos so I knew my cats were happy while we were away which was a massive reassurance. They also really liked her and were super relaxed when we got home which was a bonus!
Sarah is an exceptional pet sitter! She went above and beyond when we booked her to do drop in visits for our cat Fluffy. She made sure Fluffy’s litter was clean and topped up, spent time playing with her, and sent loads of photos and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It’s really clear that Sarah genuinely loves animals and treats them like they’re her own. Communication was fantastic from start to finish, and we always knew Fluffy was in safe hands. We’ll be booking with Sarah again in the future, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Sarah is absolutely fantastic. She was great meeting our two cats (Neal & Jake), and dog, at the first meet for key pick up, and looked after our two cats so well for the week we were away (morning and evening visits). She administered medication for Jake with no problem at all. She gave Neal and Jake lots of care and attention, I think they'd love her to be here each day! We got lovely updates via the Rover cards with pictures and videos for each visit. Great communication and we would be very happy for Sarah to look after Neal and Jake again.

She really went above and beyond, spending time playing with them, trying different treats, and sending lots of photos and videos, which completely put my mind at ease while I was away. It's clear how much she cares about the animals she looks after, and I wouldn't hesitate to use her again.

I am currently studying an online course so I have a flexible schedule and am available during the week as well as weekends to spend time with your little ones! Send me a message and I'll work around you and your pets schedule.

Safety, trust & environment
From my experience I have learned how to care for animals from young to old and how a tailor-made approach to each animal is needed as all have their own quirks and personalities. My own dog is 14 years old (nearly 15yrs) and I have a personal understanding of the special requirements of a senior animal. I have minded animals in a pet owner's home before and always have the utmost respect when in another's home and I make sure to communicate throughout.
A typical day
I am living in a flat with four other housemates, all of whom would love to say hello and meet any animals that are in my care. There is a shared garden which I can bring any dogs requiring toilet breaks more often to and there is a lovely park (The Meadows) nearby for the dogs to explore or I can bring them to a more quiet area (Braidburn Valley Park) if they prefer. Cats in my care can expect to be well catered for, I will always go at your pet's pace!
