“Jessica looked after our 2 cats for us while we were away on holiday. She sent us pics and updates every day and the cats always looked very happy! Would definitely recommend!”

“Michèle has lined after our wonderful dog so well over the last couple of days, taking her for enriching walks with lots of stimulation and sniffs. Just what she needs! Will be booking Michèle again - we can’t thank you enough ❤️”

“Can't recommend Zoe highly enough to care for your pets! She took amazing care of my cats while we were on holiday for almost 2 weeks. I received regular updates at every visit, including photos and videos. As well as feeding and playing with them she even went out of her way doing extra jobs, like full litter change. Gave me huge peace of mind while far away from home. Thank you ?”

“We were absolutely delighted by the service delivered by Pam. She was very friendly, open and communicative throughout. We felt so much more at ease knowing our cat was being cared for by someone who really enjoyed her company. We will definitely be booking Pam again in future.”
About: I've helped walk people's dogs since I was teenager from neighbours to family friends. I have expernce walking smaller dogs like Bichon Frisé and French bulldogs as well as bigger more high energy dogs like labradors and collies. I am patient and understand dog body language well, I know that every dog is diffrent and will always listen to the owner about what they need. I have experence pet sitting gerbils and currently have two guinea pigs. I am confident handeling small animals and can pet sit smaller animals as well. I am a student in Glasgow I commute in. This means I'm happy to house sit for people outside my area so long as I can get a bus or train into Glasgow from your house. I am in uni Tuesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday morning so cant do drop ins or walks at those times. When looking after animals in the owners home I will make sure to follow all instructions given and do whatever I can to make the animal feel comfortable. I appreciate all animals are diffrent and some may like sticking to a routine and may be nervous when their owner is away while others enjoy the change of routine. I am able to look after animals in my home however I have a pet guinea pig therfore I can't look after your dog if they have a high prey drive. I am happy to do meet ups before hand if youre unsure about this. I know that it is impossible to know everything about animals so I will always take the lead from you and follow any instructions given. It is always best to do things the dog is familiar with so I will use any equitment and/ or traning methods you prefer. I would always prefer to meet you and the animal before booking to discuss things more in person and ensure me and the animal get along.
“Emma was amazing!! She went above and beyond with our cats and made sure they were well taken care of. We could tell she genuinely loved spending time with them through her messages and pictures. We will definitely be booking again when we need a sitter! We confidently recommend her!”

“Jenny was so lovely with Kai, and she was so helpful in supporting with a last minute booking. He's a big boisterous boy with a teddy bear face and Jenny stole his heart straight away!”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for the past ten years. I have a 10 year old Beagle and a 9 year old Cavachon. Any dogs who come to stay must get on well with my dogs and my two primary school aged children. I’m off work Friday to Monday so I’m in an ideal position to dog sit for weekend breaks but I am more than willing to look after your dog during the week too as long as they can be left for a few hours. I will do my best to follow your pets normal routine and provide a fun, safe space for them to stay. I work part time so I have plenty of time for dog walking and company. I live in an area surrounded by fields and fun places to walk. I have a fully enclosed garden. My dogs are allowed on the furniture so the more the merrier, however, I will always follow your rules. I want to create an environment that you can enjoy a break away knowing your dog is also enjoying a holiday. Both my dogs are on tablets daily so I have experience in administering those. I’ve had my dogs since puppies so I have experience from puppy to seniors.
About: I have had dogs my whole life and I have taken care of dogs for family and friends for as long as I can remember. I’ve always had many different pets and love to care and support animals making sure they are relaxed and comfortable. Love going for walks be they gentle or quick paced depending on my companion. I work from home a lot so will be around to support any fluffy companion.Myselfand my partner Kieran and my have our own male Sproodle who we adore and would love him to make some new friends, but equally can be separated from any visitors we have if necessary. Fenced garden Spacious house and garden Working from home so regular toilet breaks and walks Regular toilet breaks and happy to support with any particular care needs and medication once informed in advance
About: I’m originally from Ireland but moved to Scotland last year to live with my Scottish partner Derek. Back in my family home in Ireland we have two gorgeous Westies, Allie and Belle. Sadly we lost Allie in September after an amazing 15 years together, but her sister Belle (now 10) is still keeping my mum and dad busy!. I travel home often to see them but I really miss having dogs around the house every day! I’m very active and love being outdoors, so your dog will get plenty of walks and attention. I’m quite lucky that my work schedule is fairly flexible. I usually work in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, then work from home for the rest of the week, and I’m off at the weekends. However, if you needed your dog to stay on Tuesday or Wednesday, I could swap my office days around. Just message me with the days you need and I’m sure we can sort something out🥰 We have a small fenced garden where they can safely play and enjoy some fresh air. Our house is small & cosy, so smaller dogs are the best fit, they’ll be treated like part of the family here. They’re more than welcome to curl up on the couch and get comfortable - cuddles are guaranteed! I know how important it is to trust someone with your dog, and I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home while they’re with us.

About: Hi I'm Clare and I'm cat crazy!!! I have had cats since I was a child- they have almost always been there with me. I love all animals in general. Growing up I had a dog, gorgeous black gerbils, budgies and of course, cats!! I have my little adopted cat, Agnes, who is an indoor cat and she is my world. I know it can be daunting leaving the kitties but I assure everyone that they are left in capable and loving hands. I, myself, used cat in a flat serviced for Agnes and now I work for them too. This is an amazing service!!!! I know how important cats are and the best care is always taken by me for these wonderful animals.💜

I have worked with rescue dogs, difficult dogs and also very excitable young dogs. I have a soft but fair approach to training and handling and will always put your pets welfare first. I know how a dog becomes part of the family and I strive to treat all dogs like they are my own. I use positive reinforcement and encouragement to ensure the best training results and engagement from the dogs. Having competed in both Agility and Flyball with my own dogs, and being passionate about dog welfare, training and nutrition I would be keen to help in any way I can. I look forward to hearing from you and being able to meet your lovely pets. I work full time as a letting agent at the moment, so I am only available for walks in the evenings and weekends. However I hope this will change and availability will increase in the near future. I make sure all pets are cared for like my own, I will ensure they have had the appropriate amount of exercise and stimulation they need, as well as of course access to water, toileting and food when required.

“Jen did a great job looking after Ripley, feeding and spending some time with her. Great communication and understanding how important good care of pets is for families. Jen is really friendly and knowledgeable about cats.”

About: I have had dogs in my family my full life. Each one has been brought up from a very happy and loving household. I know and understand how hard it can be to balance work life and dog life. I would love to help with getting your dog the exercise they require and would take great care of them to ensure they have the best time. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to ask. Happy to take on new doggies and help walk them inbetween my own work. Any questions about availability please feel free to ask. I do work full time but willing to help round about this. . . . . I have 2 pups of my own, both cockapoos which could be a friendly companion for your dog on walks if this is what you would like. However I understand not all dogs love other dogs so 100% willing to give your pup my full attention when out with only them. I have a vehicle so able to transport them to different places, parks, woods or anywhere you know they love.
“I feel my cats are very very well looked after. I have a lot of confidence in leaving them with Fay and Ian. Wouldn’t want anyone else looking after my boys. And my boys seem to love it too which is very reassuring. 100% would recommend leaving your animals with Fay &Ian. Thank you so much for your excellent care xx”

Lee Anne was a great sitter for our 3 cats! We were kept up to date with videos and pictures at each visit. She went over and above when our wanderer didn't show up for a few days with an extra evening visit to check in. All 3 cats responded well to her kind and gentle nature - especially our wee elder lady! Highly recommend. We will be using Lee Anne again! Thanks Lee Anne! 😁

Zoe did an amazing job with our cat Bella while we were on holiday. She provided detailed updates and lots of pictures/videos for every visit. Would absolutely recommend to anyone considering her services, we will definitely be going with Zoe again when we go on holiday again!

Jenny has been so lovely and in communication as it was the first time I left my wee man alone overnight. She's so nice and understanding of his needs and kept in touch with updates that reassured me. Would definitely recommend her to anyone and I will definitely get in touch with her again for future drop ins. She's fantastic!

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
