About: I have over 3 years of experience caring for animals and genuinely love spending time with pets. I and my friend(flatmate), Ash regularly dog sit and host her cousin’s Cavapoo who lives in Edinburgh, providing walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I also have a small dog rescue back home, which has given me hands-on experience caring for dogs with different personalities and needs. I am patient, reliable, and committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. Additionally, Ash works from home full time so she is always there while I work 5 mins away, which makes providing everything you need, more accessible. I currently work part-time at Cake Box GWR and also spend part of my week working from home. My best friend and flatmate works from home full-time, so there’s always someone at home to provide company, supervision, and care. We’ve also looked after a 4-year-old Cavapoo on several occasions, including stays lasting several weeks, and it fit seamlessly into our daily routine. Between both of us, we have flexible schedules and are happy to accommodate your pet’s individual needs, whether that’s sticking to a specific feeding routine, administering medication, or simply providing plenty of playtime, cuddles, and attention, basically whatever you need! I’m a big believer that pets are happiest when they feel comfortable, so my aim is to make them feel as at home with me as possible. Whether they love playing all day or would rather curl up in a sunny spot on the sofa and nap, I’m happy to oblige. I live in a bright, spacious two-bedroom flat with a big living room (great for cats) that gets loads of natural light, and there are plenty of great walking routes nearby. Kelvingrove Park is only about 10 minutes away, so dogs have lots of options for walks and new smells to explore. Because I work part-time and from home, and my flatmate works from home full-time, there’s always someone around to keep your pet company. We’ve looked after a Cavapoo for weeks at a time, so we’re used to having furry guests around and making them part of our everyday life. I’ll always stick to your pet’s routine as closely as I can, whether that’s meal times, walks, medication, or just their favourite way to relax. And of course, I’ll send plenty of photos and updates, because I know how much it helps when you’re missing them!
“Jade took wonderful care of Leo and Thomas while we were away. She was attentive, patient, and clearly understands cats and their personalities. We loved receiving updates and could see how relaxed and happy they were with her. It’s not easy to trust someone with your pets, but Jade made it effortless. Highly recommended.”

“Very attentive and super helpful on a short notice. Andra already knew what questions to ask before I had to explain anything. She was on time, sent plenty of photos and Echo was happy. Great expereince, will reach out again :))”

About: Growing up I had, at one point, four dogs along with multiple chickens and a couple goats and cows. Two of the dogs were adopted from shelters while the other two were strays found on the street in my neighborhood. I have experience with obedience and training, exercise and stimulation, and medication administration. Over my life I have experience with multiple breeds, temperaments, ages, and sizes, through watching my neighbors dogs active blue heelers to my grandmother’s senior yorkie. I love all dogs the same and treat them accordingly. I always take a lot of fun and cute pictures of your pets during my time with them so you know they are doing great! My availability is flexible as I look for a full time position after just recently finishing my masters degree. I do take public transportation or walk to get to places, I will not offer any late night walks after 10 PM or before 6 AM for my own safety. I am available for walks and drop-in visits throughout the day to ensure your pet receives the attention and care they deserve. In my flat I am unable to offer overnight boarding however, I provide in-home pet care services tailored to your pet’s needs, this includes regular visits for feeding, watering, and playtime. I am available for walks at a nearby park or around the neighborhood to ensure your pet gets fresh air, exercise, and socialization. With my flexible schedule and dedication to personalized care, you can trust that your furry companions will receive the attention and love they deserve while you are away. It is crucial for me to be informed about any special needs or preferences your pet may have in advance to ensure their happiness and comfort during my care. Whether that be dietary requirements, medication schedules, or behavioral quirks like a sensitivity to certain sounds or animals outdoors, I am attentive to their needs. Additionally, having a detailed schedule outlining their routines, such as feeding times, treat times, potty breaks, walks, and training, is incredibly helpful in maintaining their sense of security and well being. By having this information upfront, I can ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for both you and your beloved pet. Your pet’s happiness and comfort are my top priority.
“Gemma has been checking in on Tootsie for the past few weeks when I've been out at work. Tootsie is well looked after, and the updates Gemma sends are thorough, photos are funny too. Already have Gemma booked again for this month. Highly recommend”

About: I’ve taken care of my border collie since I got her at 13 years old! But since moving away from my parents in a new town I’m looking to meet new dogs!!! I’m currently a uni student looking for a little extra cash outside of my studies. Due to missing my own little pet due to just moving to Glasgow I want to spend all my free time with your fur babies ! I care for my pets as if I would my own !! I mainly would prefer if I were to look after your fur baby at your own house however if this was not available my flat is also okay!
“Paige is AMAZING! She bonded with my cat Zaya instantly and took care of her as if she were her own. She followed every instruction, understood exactly what Zaya needed, and even managed to brush her — a miracle in itself. She looked after my flat beautifully too, spotting a problem with the electric toilet and fixing it right away. I loved the constant updates and photos; it made being away so much easier. Paige’s passion for animals is obvious, and her care goes above and beyond. I trust her completely and have already rebooked her. Truly an outstanding cat sitter and a wonderful person. Thank you, Paige, for taking such amazing care of my precious Zaya. You’re an absolute star.”

About: I've grown up with dogs my whole life and have recently moved away from my old man and am looking to give love elsewhere! While being new to Rover I am not new to pet sitting and have looked after a range of dogs from hyper excited puppies to grumpy old ladies. I am happy to housesit over the weekend if necessary and my experience includes: - Petsitting and housesitting for a norfolk terrier with separation anxiety and adhered to her special dietary requirements. - Taking long walks with larger breeds such as golden retrievers and boxers to tire them out so they come home relaxed, sleepy and ready to cuddle ! - Petsitting, walking, and playing with an intelligent Japanese spitz keeping his (and my) brain stimulated. -Petsat for several nights for a bedlington whippet, early morning walks with lots of playing fetch to tire him out. I am starting a new full-time position soon which will affect my weekday availability however I am available weekday evenings, or weekends during the day or overnight. I am unable to care for dogs in my own home due to roommates, however I am happy and willing to look after your pets in your home. I offer drop-ins, and overnight stays. During visits I can update you frequently for your comfort, and will follow any requirements to keep your pup happy and healthy. I will always make sure your dog, and home is treated how I would treat my own.

“Danielle took the best care of my little puppy Lola! She sent plenty of updates with lovely pictures and videos which were a delight to receive❤️. Lola has had the best time with Danielle and I know she’s been in great hands. Thank you!”

“Taisa was an absolutely fantastic cat sitter. Her communication was excellent from start to finish, keeping us updated with lovely messages and brilliant photos that really put our minds at ease. Elio clearly adored her and looked so relaxed and comfortable in her care, which says everything. She looked after him incredibly well, and it was obvious he was getting lots of attention and affection. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Taisa again and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable cat sitter.”

About: Having had Weimaraners in my household growing up, I’m no stranger to big dogs! That being said, I love the little guys too! I love a long walk and grew up taking my own pups on 3x45 minute walks a day, so I know how to tire them out! Having just graduated my Masters degree at university, I’m now a full time swimmer and swimming coach. Outside of coaching/training hours (typically very early mornings and evenings) I’m usually at home working on my laptop! With 2 Weimeraners at home, I’m used to high maintenance dogs! Ordinarily, my two are walked 3 times a day for 1 hour a walk, as well as being fed twice and let out into the garden maybe once an hour.
About: Hi, I'm João, based here in Glasgow. Dog walking is the main thing I do, and honestly it's my favourite part of the week. I like getting to know a dog first, how they are on the lead, how far they actually want to go, what they're funny about. Some dogs want a proper long walk, others are happy pottering about sniffing everything, and either is fine by me. I'm happy to walk wherever suits you best, whatever park or spot your dog already knows, and the lead stays on unless you tell me otherwise. I also do drop-in visits and pet sitting. With drop-ins I don't just nip in and out food and fresh water, toilet break or litter, a bit of play and some company, and I'm happy to water plants or bring the post in while I'm there. For sitting, I stick as close as I can to their normal feeding times, walks and sleeping spots so the days feel like usual for them. Cats as well, I've got one myself, Preto, so I know they decide how much attention they want, not me. Either way you'll get a message and photos after every visit, and if anything seems a bit off I'll let you know there and then rather than leave you wondering. If you'd like to meet first before booking anything, I'm very happy to do that. If you'd like to meet first before booking anything, I'm very happy to do that. If you're not sure yet, no pressure a quick message costs you nothing and I'm happy to answer anything before you decide. have a flexible schedule and I’m available mornings, afternoons, and evenings, including weekends. I can provide dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, and I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s usual routine whenever possible. My goal is to make every visit calm, enjoyable, and stress-free for both pets and their owners. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are always my priority. I carefully follow your instructions, keep dogs on a lead unless you request otherwise, and respect your pet’s routine. During home visits, I make sure pets have fresh water, food, playtime, and companionship. I’m also happy to water plants, bring in mail, and keep you updated with photos and messages after every visit.
“Christiana is incredibly friendly, easy to communicate with and extra helpful. I trust that my cat Leeloo is safe in Christiana’s hands, and Leeloo likes her, so that’s the seal of approval!”

About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was a kid . I’ve also owned several throughout my life. I’m good with training and I’m quite strong so can easily handle dogs. Also got experience with my aunts senior dog and know they may need medicine and a bit extra help. Currently working from home so plenty of time on my hands. I enjoy the outdoors so figured this would be the best way to spend my extra free time. I’ve got a big back garden, lots of space, I’m happy having pets up on my bed or on the sofa but also know how important it is to keep routine so I’ll go with your instructions and keep that going.
About: With 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to pet care. What sets me apart from other caregivers is my lifelong exposure to animals. Since I can remember, I've been raised with pets, allowing me to develop a deep understanding of their needs and behavior. This experience ensures that I can provide attentive and compassionate care to all pets, ensuring their well-being and happiness while under my supervision. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to accommodate pet care seamlessly into my daily or weekly routine. “Shauna was incredibly patient with my cat and managed to gain his trust in just a few days. I am very grateful to have had her caring for my boy while I was gone. Great sitter 🤍”

About: Hi, I'm Ryan! I'm a remote worker with a lifelong love of dogs. I've cared for dogs of all kinds throughout my life, from energetic puppies to laid-back seniors. I'm comfortable handling various breeds and personalities, and I'm always happy to learn about your dog's unique needs. I'm excited to provide a safe and loving environment for your pet while you're away. * I do not take in last minute overnight bookings (requests that are made on the same day as the stay). If they have a fixed schedule (walks, meals), please let me know. Sticking to your pet's 'normal' as much as possible will provide a comfortable 'holiday' for them with us. My partner and I live in a secure, pet-friendly flat in the city centre. Our flat is free of children and other pets, ensuring your dog receives dedicated attention. We also try to only have one dog/ dogs from the same household one at a time w us, this is to ensure they get the maximum care and attention.

Eilidh is an amazing cat-sitter, would highly recommend. We had a nightmare with figuring out how Eilidh could gain access to our flat, but she was so flexible and accommodating throughout the entire process. She took great care of our cat and made sure all of his needs were met.

Kirsteen looked after my cats wonderfully and went above and beyond to ensure they were okay and inside at night when I was away. Kirsteen was very flexible and friendly and I greatly appreciate her level of care with timely updates and lots of photos - thank you.

Paige was super friendly, professional, caring and informative. I felt completely confident with Paige looking after Morris whilst away for a few days. She also showed the utmost care and respect to my home. Her report cards were very informative and she shared lots of lovely photos during her time too. I couldn’t recommend Paige highly enough!

Chelsea was absolutely brilliant! She took care of our two cats for five days over our wedding. Knowing they were well looked after at home was a massive help - especially since we had so much else to plan! And checking in on Chelsea's pictures and messages ended up being a great opportunity for us to have some cosy relaxed time together in amongst all the chaos! Our cats are bengals so they're quite active, so it was really great that Chelsea gave them a good play and run around - definitely wasn't just a case of dropping in and leaving some food out 😁 Thanks again Chelsea, appreciate it!!!

Helen was great. Was super flexible, even agreeing to add on a last minute extra visit at the end. Every visit I got updates on what she’d done, how they were doing and lots of photos. My sit was more complicated as I have 2 cats being introduced so need to stay separate, but she made sure they both got lots of time on every visit. Thank you!

I can’t speak highly enough of Alba - she was genuinely amazing. I was kept updated every day with pictures of videos which really helped put my mind at ease. She followed all my instruction about the food and litterbox which was amazing because my cat is very particular. My cat decided to protest on day 2 as I was away and went on hunger strike (she’s a diva) and Alba was great - she let me know straight away that Fenty hadn’t eaten or used her litter box. She even offered to check in on Fenty that evening after my parents took her to the vet and even checked in on me as she knew I was worried (I had a mini meltdown in NYC). I would rebook Alba in a heartbeat - you can tell how much she cares about cats and she keeps you updated which is super helpful. 10/10 service!!

Liz is a wonderful sitter. She is kind and considerate with the cats. She communicates very well with the owners and sends beautiful photographs, putting your mind at ease. We returned to find our cats relaxed and happy. We’re will definitely see Liz again! Thank you Liz 😊

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
