We couldn’t have been happier with our experience with Fallon, she was everything we had hoped for in terms of a pet sitter. Fallon is clearly exceptionally experienced with animals and that was clear within minutes of talking with her. She updated us on every visit with a video/picture and a report of how our cat Pepper was doing, and really helped to put our minds at ease on our first holiday away from our pet. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again for our next trip, and would highly recommend her to anyone else in a similar situation.

About: I have had dogs and cats all throughout my life and now I don’t live at home I don’t get to see them as often. I always volunteer to look after family and friend pets whenever needed. I work as part of the admin team at vets now hospital at Charing Cross so see a wide range of dogs and cats all day everyday and it’s the best part of the job. I would love the opportunity to make sure your furry friend has a great mini holiday away from home. During the week I work 8-4 so am generally back by 4:30 so can easily do an afternoon walk, pee break or even watch them for the evening. I can keep them overnight if I’m not working the next day/ away so it just depends on the day for that. Use my calendar as a guage but just send me a message because chances are, I can make it work😁 I have a fenced garden out the back and have a small park a 2 minute walk away, with kelvingrove 10 minutes away. I also have a car so for longer visits I can take them for further, more woodland walks, or even the beach. My sister has done this before (we share a flat) so any pet would be welcome and well loved!

About: I have dog walked, dog and cat sat, and trained throughout my childhood and teenage years, and used that experience last year to work for a local company in my home town to walk and pet sit for pets of all kinds (cats, dogs of all sizes, and even birds). I am currently working from home with flexible hours, so I am able to look after your pets at anytime of the day for any length of time! Unfortunately I am unable to keep pets in my flat due to my tenancy agreement. However, for care in the pet owner’s home I offer long walks, games such as fetch, visits to the dog park, quality one on one time for senior pets and cats, feeding, training, baths, grooming, and even services such as taking out the bins and watering household plants if needed!

Isabelle helped us very last minute with our reactive dog and we couldn’t have asked for any better! She came round to meet our dog multiple times before dog sitting to ensure he was comfortable with her and then sent lots of updates when we were away. Our dog took to Isabelle very well and it was clear she had a lot of care for him. We can’t thank you enough!

It was my first time using Rover or this type of service, so I was a bit apprehensive. Demelza did a great job and made us comfortable leaving our babies to her care. She sent daily updates and was very good at communicating with me. I will definitely use her services again.

About: With my Dad who races pigeons and an Auntie who rescues dogs and used to volunteer with The Dog's Trust, I am one of the lucky ones who has grown up around animals their entire life. We kept budgies and rabbits, a dog and a cat. I had neighbours who asked me to look after their guinea pig, and another who asked me to look after their Yorkshire Terrier, I have wide experience with different animals and on different terms, including overnight stays and daily meal time visits, or just as a companion for a few hours. My boyfriend is always catching me talking to various dogs and our cats when we are out on walks. I'm currently working from home as a freelance photographer which gives me a pretty flexible weekly routine. I live close to a number of parks for walks, but also close to public transport for home visits.I As previously mentioned, I have been entrusted with things like staying overnight to look after a friend's cats, dropping by to check in with pet wellbeing and keeping them company for a few hours and dishing up meal time. Additionally, as someone very fond of nature, dog walks are something I really miss about moving to the city from the Scottish Highlands where I grew up with said cat, dog, rabbits, budgies and pigeons.

I loved receiving the many pictures and videos from Danielle playing with my Lola and felt such relief knowing she was in such great hands! Danielle had great communication with me throughout her time caring for my puppy and I was so glad to feel as calm as I did when she was with my pup! Would definitely recommend Danielle to others and will be booking again. Thank you!

About: I’ve always had an affinity with animals, predominantly cats and dogs. Currently have a 3 year old patterdale terrier I’ve trained myself. She’s super sociable and great with anxious dogs. I’m currently working part time from home and have time to look after more animals. Already I am out and about often with my own pup who is quite the adventurer. Happy to spend some time looking after more pets. I will treat your pet as I would my own, they will have space if they want to chill on their own or are more than welcome to hang out together.

About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was a kid . I’ve also owned several throughout my life. I’m good with training and I’m quite strong so can easily handle dogs. Also got experience with my aunts senior dog and know they may need medicine and a bit extra help. Currently working from home so plenty of time on my hands. I enjoy the outdoors so figured this would be the best way to spend my extra free time. I’ve got a big back garden, lots of space, I’m happy having pets up on my bed or on the sofa but also know how important it is to keep routine so I’ll go with your instructions and keep that going.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I lost my own dog of 12 years last April, so I know how much pets mean to people and how important it is knowing they’re in safe hands. Since meeting my partner, his dog took to me straight away and we’ve become really close — I spend most of my free time with him. I’m used to both big and small breeds, including Border Collies, Staffy/Akita mixes and Cocker Spaniels. I also help care for family members’ and neighbours’ dogs regularly, whether that’s walks, feeding, playtime or just keeping them company. Dogs usually warm to me very quickly and I genuinely just love being around them. I currently have a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to give your dog the attention, care and company they need. I’m available for walks, drop-ins and pet sitting throughout the week and weekends. Spending time with dogs is something I genuinely enjoy, so I’m always happy to fit my routine around their needs and keep them comfortable and settled. Your dog’s safety and comfort will always come first with me. I’m very attentive to routines, behaviour and making sure pets feel relaxed in their environment. I’m experienced with both large and small breeds and understand that every dog is different. Whether that’s sticking to feeding schedules, long walks, playtime or just giving them company and reassurance, I’ll care for them like they’re my own.

I will respect your wishes with regards to feeding, walking, training etc and will treat your pet with the same love and affection as you do while trying to maintain the same routine while they are boarding with me. I live in Bearsden only a 10 minute drive to Mugdock which is a fantastic place to exercise your pet. I also visit various other parks and have a good number of local walks to keep your pet active 🐾🐕 I have successfully passed 2 training courses with the Institute of Modern Dog Training (IMDT).Dog ownership should be fun and enjoyable and I can help you achieve this. About: I’ve been looking after dogs for 8years. I’ve been walking Dogs in Glasgow for just under a year. This also included looking after them in my flat when owners were on holiday. I have a 8yr old and 3yr old GSP that stay at home with Dad. I’ve had to raise puppies from the minute they’re born to 8weeks. This included socialising, feeding and bathing. I’m currently looking for a new job in Glasgow so I have plenty of time to look after doggies. Morning, day and night, Monday-Sunday. Feel free to send me a message to discuss scheduling. I live first floor in a flat on a semi-busy street. I have a fenced back space. I’ve got a large living room for your dog to sleep in with comfortable sofas and plenty of dog toys. I live with 2 other girls who also adore dogs, however they won’t be there as much during the summer.

About: I don’t have any professional experience however, my family has had dogs since I was born. We have had a collie and 2 golden retrievers, I do also have a dog of my own which is a collie/retriever/german shepherd mix. I have experience looking after a variety of dogs from a mastiff/rottweiler cross to a Dachshund. I work Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, my partner can also provide help caring for your fluffy friends if I am unavailable. I can drive and have a car so last minute help is no problem. We live very close to Kelvingrove park so plenty of place for them to have a walk close to the flat and we are always happy to drive to common dog walking spots for more energetic dogs.

Danielle did a fabulous job of looking after my beloved blind cat Humbug. He can be timid with people he doesn’t know but he absolutely loved her and was very happy and confident when I arrived home. Her updates were brilliant and I knew he was in really capable hands. I’d give her 10 stars if I could and would definitely book her again 😊

Jade is an amazing cat sitter. She is hardworking and quick to reply to messages. She provided lots of photos and gave lots of pets to our cat. She can deal with emergencies very well. She noticed that our cat wasn't using his litter tray anymore and also stopped eating and she made sure to stay with him during feeding time to help him eat again and cleaned his mess on our floors. Our cat is happy and safe. We cannot thank Jade enough and will definitely book her again in the future. Thank you again for everything.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other East Dunbartonshire pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Dunbartonshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
