About: I’ve grown up with animals all my life, particularly dogs. I love spending time with them whether it’s on the beach exploring or curled up on the sofa! We have a cockapoo called Cookie. She is fantastic for her age - almost 13. We love nothing more than going for a walk in the park and meeting other doggy pals. As a retired nurse, I am home most days. I include my own dog in most of my activities. As I am no longer working, I can plan my day accordingly with no distractions from work. We have a very secure dog proof fenced garden. The garden gate is padlocked too. We have a large lawn area where the dog can run around freely and also cobbled stones each side. We have a pod in the garden which is used as an office. This is a dog friendly area too.

From the initial meet n greet, a few days before his stay, Freddie was warmly welcomed into the family and very quickly settled with Elizabeth. He was spoiled all weekend with woodland walks, sniffing safaris at the local park and even a trip to Loch Lomond for a dip! With lovely photos and regular updates on his stay we felt so reassured that he was in safe hands and having a great time with an experienced dog lover! Her home is lovely and welcoming, and she and her wee daughter were great with him, he settled in straight away. About: I have taken care of cats and various smaller animals as a child up till I was 18 my family always had dogs but we were never allowed one at home due to the cat so always enjoyed my families dogs by taking them walks and watching them whilst my family were on holiday and taking them walks when others family members couldn’t I’ve taken care of small and big dogs I’m a freelance musician so I can work at different times with long periods of time of no work so whatever suits for the owner and I have agreed on available at short notice I follow their care plan set out by the owner as they know best for their animals and I ensure the animals are cared for as and when they need set to their own routine I can walk dogs and watch cats with clear instructions
“Alfie has just stayed with Sakshi for the first time for two nights while we went away. I’m quite sure he didn’t want to come home when I went to pick him up! He was a very happy dog and had clearly had a lovely calm and relaxing time with Sakshi and Ash. It was all a bit last minute (our fault!) and Sakshi was brilliant with communicating and organising. We went for a meet and greet visit which made us feel very confident about leaving Alfie with her. Sakshi kept up updated throughout and we’d be very happy to leave Alfie with her again. About: I grew up with a gorgeous wee border terrier named Roxy, who lived until she was 16. There’s since been a doggy-shaped hole in my life, but I’m unable to have my own pup at the moment. About: I've had a small dog growing up and have been dogsitting for friends and neighbours for years, including stepping in at the last minute to help out. This was mornas first time with Liz so I was a bit apprehensive to start but I knew she would be well looked after and she certainly was. Liz is a lovely lady who obviously adores dogs. I got regular updates and photos which was great and would definitely recommend her.
Darren and his partner were very accommodating and helped me out with a last minute booking when my sitter fell through. We did a meet and greet and I felt confident that they would be great sitters who could make sure to follow Luna’s routine and make her stay as close to home as possible. By all accounts she had a great time, would book again

When we met Holly for a meet and greet walk she asked all the right questions I would expect of someone taking on a new dog. This was very reassuring. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
