“Wow! Could not be more grateful impressed or recommend more highly! Kim and her husband Ali took the very best care of my nervous pup and treated her to so much love attention and adventures. They took her to a specialist dog park and were playing and chasing with her going above and beyond! I made the booking with a few hours notice for an overnight stay and Kim was so kind and gracious about every step, very understanding and sent loads of updates. Roxy was spoilt with cuddles affection and attention and had the best sleepover party ever - thank you both I feel so lucky to have found you!”

About: I’m a proud dog mum to Rosie, my friendly 3-year-old Cavapoo, who loves the company of other dogs and gets along well with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I regularly care for dogs in my home and understand how important it is to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment while owners are away. I have a spacious three-bedroom home with a secure, fully fenced garden, as well as plenty of beautiful local walks nearby to keep your dog happy, active, and well cared for. Your dog will be treated as part of the family and receive lots of attention, affection, and exercise during their stay. Dogs are allowed on all furniture and we have no children in our home. It tends to just be myself at home as my partner works offshore. Dog care fits naturally into my daily routine as I work from home full-time and manage my own diary, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attention, companionship, walks, and toilet breaks throughout the day. My partner works away regularly, so it’s usually just me and my friendly Cavapoo, Rosie, at home. Rosie loves having canine company and enjoys playing in our secure garden as well as exploring the many lovely local walks nearby. This means your dog will never be left alone and will be treated as part of our family during their stay I have a secure, fully fenced garden and a very dog-friendly home where dogs can relax, play, and feel comfortable. I have experience caring for puppies as young as 14 weeks old, as well as adult dogs of different breeds and personalities. My home is calm, safe, and welcoming, with no children or other pets apart from my Cavapoo Rosie. I always aim to provide a loving environment where dogs feel settled, secure, and part of the family.
“What a pleasure it was for Biscuit to spend a few days with Kirsty. It is obvious he enjoyed his stay with her. She is a lovely caring person and I would highly recommend her to all. Thanks once again Kirsty and you will definitely see us again. Bobby, Bernie and Biscuit xx”

“I felt very reassured that Holly was being treated well and looked after. I was kept well informed and I had photographs of her. I already have her booed for another stay as I’m overly happy with the sitter.”

“Leaving Pari with someone else is not something we do lightly, so finding Fraser was genuinely a huge relief for us. From the start, he was thoughtful, calm and clearly someone who truly enjoys being around dogs. Pari settled in comfortably with him, which honestly told us more than anything else could. During her stay, it was lovely knowing she was getting attention, care and plenty of affection instead of just being “looked after”. When we picked her up, she was happy and completely herself, which made us feel we had made the right decision. Overall, Fraser made the entire experience easy and stress-free for both Pari and us. We would absolutely trust him again in the future and would happily recommend him to anyone looking for someone dependable, caring and genuine to look after their furry companion.”

“Michael looked after our French Bulldog Rocco for the weekend and we couldn’t be happier. From the updates and photos, it was clear our dog had an amazing time and was made to feel right at home. Michael was friendly, reliable and clearly loves dogs. It gave us real peace of mind knowing our Frenchie was being so well looked after while we were away. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Michael again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their dog. Thanks again for taking such great care of him!”

Archie had an amazing weekend with this lovely family! He absolutely loved spending time with Coco, and it was clear he was treated like one of their own. They took him to the beach, gave him lots of cuddles and attention, and kept him happy and well cared for throughout his stay. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again. Highly recommended! 🐾❤️

We had frequent updates about the pets and I could tell she genuinely cared for the pets. When we collected our pets, they looked like they enjoyed the stay! I had only a small communication problem with the pick up time being wrong but more importantly, the pets were well looked after.

Katie did a wonderful job looking after our elderly family dog for the weekend of our wedding. We had been dreading leaving our wee elderly lady with a “stranger” as she’s such a wee old soul & has separation anxiety and hates other dogs & she’s very demanding for food :.p Katie was such a star in keeping her company and a lovely calm quiet environment with lots of reassurance. We were welcomed to visit Katie at her home before the stay which really put us at ease that Skye would be in good hands. Then during the weekend of her stay whenever we sent a message to ask how she was doing we got really quick replies and photos. It was so reassuring to know our little lady was relaxed and well cared for! Would recommend Katie to anyone & definitely book her again without hesitation:) Thanks again 💜

Caitlin was fantastic taking care of my collie Scooter, she provided me with plenty of photos throughout the 17 nights he was in her care. Scooter looked extremely happy in every photo, i could tell she was taking very good care of him. Caitlin is a lovely girl and i wouldn’t suggest another soul if anyone asks me about doggy boarding! Thanks Caitlin, scooter will be back in the future!

We met Pauline before the booking to introduce her to Angus and he was very much at ease around her which made us feel assured we had made the right choice. Pauline welcomed Angus into her home and made sure he was well looked after. She kept in contact daily with updates and pictures of Angus enjoying his own wee holiday. Thanks again Pauline for looking after Angus 😊

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
