Moira & Rory regularly look after our Cavapoo Lenny and we are so happy and thankful to have met them. We moved our little dog with us when we moved to Scotland and it was so important that we found someone who we could trust. Lenny absolutely adores Moira & Rory and it is considered his second home. He skips straight in the door and we know he’s in great care. We get regular updates and know that both Moira & Rory love our little guy just as much as we do and we can trust them completely. Couldn’t recommend them more!

About: Hi I’m Isabel, I took redundancy after working in a Bank for 38 years so I could look after my Mum. After she passed away I didn’t want to go back to office work, so decided to do something I knew I would love. I’ve been a cat owner for over 30 years, usually having 2 cats at a time. At the moment I only have 1 Clark & I think he adopted me, he loves being outside especially in the good weather. Like all Cats he enjoys his cuddles on his terms.

Highly recommend Alex! He’s great with our collie, Willow. He updated us loads with pictures throughout the day. Our dog is very nervous and both people/dog reactive and Alex was great, allowing us to introduce her gradually by visiting a few times before leaving her with him for the first time. We’re delighted with how her first stay went and will definitely be booking him in the future. Don’t think Willow wanted to come home after finding a comfortable spot to sleep on his table. Totally put out minds at ease knowing she’s in good hands! Thanks again Alex! Willow can’t wait to see you again

About: 30£ OFF YOUR FIRST BOOKING WITH ME alexas04593 ❤️ Welcome to my cozy pet haven in Wishaw, Scotland 💙🤍 💚Work from home 💚Only one dog (or dogs from the same household) per stay 💚NO CATS 💚NO OTHER PETS 💚NO KIDS A peaceful, nature-filled home where your pups can relax, play, and enjoy their holiday I am 29years old and I’ve always been a huge dog lover. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities – especially the fun, energetic types who love being outside, playing, and getting plenty of love. I’ve had 5 dogs of my own in the past, and now my boyfriend and I live in a lovely, pet-safe home with a private garden – perfect for zoomies or a sunny snooze.❤️ Alongside pet-sitting, I also support an online dog shelter, helping dogs find loving homes and raising awareness for adoption. Giving back to the dog community is something that really matters to me, and it’s another reason I treat every dog I look after like family. Our neighbourhood is quiet, green, and super pet-friendly, with plenty of open spaces, trails, and quiet roads for long walks. I genuinely enjoy being out and about, so your pup will have lots of opportunities to walk and sniff.❤️ I am working from home, so your dog will always have company. They’ll never be left alone – just cuddles, naps, playtime, and care all day long. I also understand how important it is to stay connected with your pet while you’re away, so I’ll send plenty of photos and videos to keep you updated. We live in a spacious two-bedroom house with soft carpets and a garden, but I also love going out for walks and discovering new spots nearby. There’s so much greenery here – your pup will love it. Honestly, your dog will be having their own little holiday while you’re away – lots of love, activity, and snuggles in a calm, loving home.

Was our first time leaving Seamus with someone who’s not family so we were really nervous. Stephen and Lorraine put us at ease from the moment we went over to visit before the initial daycare. Seamus loved his day, got to go a walk with Millie and they have massive enclosed back garden so you know your dog is safe. We will definitely be booking an overnight stay soon😊

About: I love dogs and puppies so much l find them adorable. I have a family dog at home who is called Tilly. I take Tilly for walks and I look after Tilly when my parents are away. I am happy to care of a dog in my own home, do daycare, or pop in and walk the dog. Pet care is part of my daily routine, with regular feeding, walks, and playtime with our family dog, Tilly. As I am home from University for the summer, I have time to help care for other people's pets. I would ensure the safety and comfort of any pet with constant supervision, a safe and large garden, and daily walks around a nature reserve at the end of our road. Both my parents (who are retired vets) are often available in case of an emergency.

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was 4, so caring for them has always been second nature. Over the years I’ve looked after everything from King Charles Spaniels, Pugs, Boxers and Dogue de Bordeauxs, so I’m comfortable with all sizes, personalities and quirks. Most recently I had a pug named Dilbo for 16 years, who was completely part of the family. I still miss the little things like his tip tap paws on the floor and his very loud snoring and farting, so I know how much dogs mean to their owners and how important it is to feel they’re in safe hands. Friends, family and neighbours have always relied on me to help with their pets, and my brother also dog sits, so it’s definitely in the family. Since my pug passed, I’ve really missed having a dog around, which is why I genuinely love spending time with others. I have a large secure garden and lots of great parks nearby, so your dog will get plenty of attention, exercise and proper care while they’re with me. I also run a little Instagram called The Barkchives where, I like to document the pooches I meet along the way x I have plenty of time to give your dog proper attention, walks and care throughout the day. Your dog won’t be left on their own while they are boarding with me and will get lots of company, affection and routine. And expect plenty pics of your pooch to ensure your peace of mind. Your dog’s safety and comfort is my priority, trusting someone to look after a family member isn't to be sniffed at! I have a large, secure fenced garden for safe outdoor time, and I always keep dogs on a lead when out on walks. I’m attentive to each dog’s needs and routines, and I’ll make sure they feel settled, cared for and relaxed while they’re with me, whether that’s playtime, walks or just a calm space to rest.

About: I have had pets for my whole life. From when I lived on a farm as a toddler to dog sitting for friends and family in more recent years as I have semi retired. I have experience in all aspects of dog and cat care and training. I am now retired and can be available for week day and weekends for boarding and walking etc. I work with owners and their needs. Konstantina has been great start to finish when it came to booking our dog Alvin for a Day Care. She put us completely at ease when we introduced Alvin to Nala as she obviously really loves and cares for her. She was also very responsive to messages and happy to adjust to our schedule. Alvin seemed to have a blast staying with her and the pictures/videos she sent us are absolutely adorable! We will definitely book Alvin with Konstantina in the future :)

About: I am well experienced in dog sitting, boarding, drop ins, and walking, having done this type of work since a young age, but more consistently in the last four years. Ive travelled all over the world dog sitting in homes from London to South Carolina USA (which is the gorgeous sunny location you see in my header photo ☀️) I also have extensive experience with rescue dogs who suffer with behavioural issues like resource guarding, aggression and reactivity. I have been on the receiving end of that “I just need a break” feeling and would love to use my skills and knowledge to help other dog owners who perhaps are in a similar situation. Having so much experience with high prey drive dogs in the past I am also confident fitting muzzles, or continuing any ongoing muzzle training where required with a positive reinforcement approach. If your dog is pretty chill, lazy, placid or easy going- great! I’m open to help care for any dog regardless of their temperament, energy levels, medication requirements, etc. I am very big on dog training, so more than happy to incorporate what I know into my appointments, and/or continue with any training owners currently have, for example, loose leash walking, cooperative care, impulse control, obedience and recall. Dogs love predictability & structure and this is very important for their nervous systems. I’m happy to help integrate with your dog’s routine where possible. I’m also a professional digital content creator, so you can expect lots of gorgeous photos of your perfect pups while they’re in my care too! Boarding in my home: I have a fenced, fully secure back garden that any dog in my care will have access to. The kitchen looks out on to the garden, so I can keep a close eye on your fur baby at all times. If a dog is in my care they will never just be left alone to find their own fun- always in my line of sight and properly watched after. I also have a crate for anyone who would prefer their dogs to maintain their crate training routine. I do also often have it set up as a safe space with the door left open for any dogs that may feel overwhelmed by a big new space. For dogs who are already crate trained we know this tool can be especially helpful for ones who have a tendency to be destructive when left unattended, which can pose potential safety concerns, so it will always be used under your instruction only. I have a comprehensive understanding of dog body language, able to confidently tell if they are communicating signals of happiness, stress, excitement and warnings. I also have a strict rule of no on leash greetings when out on dog walks. Walks are for walking, not play dates. Nose to nose dog greetings can become confrontational for our pups and escalate very quickly, especially when you are not familiar with the other dog, so rest assured I’ll always advocate for your for furry friend!

What can I say Nyla had a fantastic first visit with Kieran and rumble. She loved it much she tried to get out of the car to run back. That’s the first time Nyla has been looked after by anyone and she loved it. I got updates throughout her stay and photos which was so reassuring. I wouldn’t leave her with anyone else going forward, and she has a friend for life in rumble who is just a lovely friendly dog. She will be back soon and thank you once again so glad to have found you.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your North Lanarkshire commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
