Cannot say enough good things about Alex and how amazing he was with our Buddy. He constantly communicated with me sending pictures which put my mind at rest that Buddy was happy. We were looking for someone who basically treated Buddy with the love and attention we give him and we found this in Alex. He has a lot of experience especially with anxious dogs and has such a lovely and caring nature. I think Buddy would have been happy to stay with Alex!! So happy and relieved we’ve managed to find someone after a lot of searching that we are more than happy to leave Buddy with. Thanks Alex for being amazing.

Dionne was amazing! Thank you so much for looking after Norman and Klaus for the day, while we attended a funeral. They were both so settled and seem to have had a lovely time 🫶 Dionne kept us updated with messages and pictures all day, which was amazing peace of mind for us on a stressful day - thank you so much again xxx

Ludo stayed with Yasmin and her family for a day, he must have been well cared for and exercised during his stay as he come home his usual happy self. Yasmin was easy to communicate with and I'd be happy to leave my boy with her again.

Allan looked after Barney for the day to see how he settled, and I couldn’t have asked for more. Barney is a very nervous and shy boy, but Allan was patient and understanding throughout. He kept me updated with messages and photos, which really put my mind at ease. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and look forward to Barney staying with him again.

About: Hi I’m Isabel, I took redundancy after working in a Bank for 38 years so I could look after my Mum. After she passed away I didn’t want to go back to office work, so decided to do something I knew I would love. I’ve been a cat owner for over 30 years, usually having 2 cats at a time. At the moment I only have 1 Clark & I think he adopted me, he loves being outside especially in the good weather. Like all Cats he enjoys his cuddles on his terms.

Orla and Aine have looked after Tess a few times now, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Tess is always excited to go round and clearly has a brilliant time with them. They take her on lots of lovely walks, and she always comes home happy, relaxed and well looked after. We’d happily book with them again. Thank you both!

Moira & Rory regularly look after our Cavapoo Lenny and we are so happy and thankful to have met them. We moved our little dog with us when we moved to Scotland and it was so important that we found someone who we could trust. Lenny absolutely adores Moira & Rory and it is considered his second home. He skips straight in the door and we know he’s in great care. We get regular updates and know that both Moira & Rory love our little guy just as much as we do and we can trust them completely. Couldn’t recommend them more!

Ann is a really kind and caring sitter and Willow seems very happy in her care. We can see in the videos Ann sent that Willow is happily running around Ann’s flat just like she does at home. Ann sends lots of updates through the day which is very reassuring, and is kind enough to come down to collect and drop Willow back off.

First time leaving Oskar and Iain alleviated any anxieties by keeping me up to date & sending messages, videos and photos, reassuring me that he had settled well. Oskar had a lovely day with his new friend brambles and came home very happy & content. Hoping to link with Iain as a regular support around work but to also ensure Oskar has some further socialisation and company outwith the family.

I booked Cara to dogsit for my 40th so I could enjoy the day without worrying whether the dogs were bothering anyone while I hosted a little picky‑bits lunch at home with friends. From the very start, Cara was brilliantly attentive and diligent — quick to respond about availability, happy to meet in advance to give me peace of mind, and even arranged a second meet‑up closer to the date so she could see the dogs in action. They adored her from the moment they met her, and I knew instantly they were going to have a great day. On the day itself, Cara came to collect them from my home, dropping them off at the end of the day, while keeping me updated with plenty of photos and videos (as requested!) throughout, and it was wonderful to see how happy, relaxed, and content they were — especially my 10‑month‑old, who was experiencing her first time away from home. Knowing they were so settled genuinely allowed me to enjoy my birthday without a single worry. Huge thanks, Cara. You’ll absolutely be at the top of my list next time I need a dog sitter. Thank you!

Kwai and his lovely family looked after Bonnie so well. She's an older girl and has kidney problems so needs special care but they made sure she was completely comfortable. She had lovely walks on her doggie sitting afternoon. We were also sent regular happy photos to keep us in touch. Kwai's prices are really fair especially as it was a holiday weekend and short notice. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to have Bonnie booked with them again.

Thank you to Alex for looking after Tam at quite short notice. When I dropped Tam off there were treats and water waiting for him. Treats are the way to Tam’s heart. Alex kept me updated during the day and sent photographs to reassure me that all was well. We had travelled from England to Scotland to attend a funeral and it was reassuring to know that Tam was relaxed and happy. I would recommended Alex if you’re looking for someone to give your dog care and undivided attention. If we are ever back in Scotland we will definitely call on Alex again

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in South Lanarkshire on Rover is £28.75 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 872 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in South Lanarkshire. About 88% of South Lanarkshire sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your South Lanarkshire commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
