Cannot say enough good things about Alex and how amazing he was with our Buddy. He constantly communicated with me sending pictures which put my mind at rest that Buddy was happy. We were looking for someone who basically treated Buddy with the love and attention we give him and we found this in Alex. He has a lot of experience especially with anxious dogs and has such a lovely and caring nature. I think Buddy would have been happy to stay with Alex!! So happy and relieved we’ve managed to find someone after a lot of searching that we are more than happy to leave Buddy with. Thanks Alex for being amazing.

Harley had an amazing time. He is normally very nervous around strangers especially men but he was very comfortable with Allan. I got lots of updates throughout the day with great photos! Harley came home happy and tired from all his walks. Harley will definitely be visiting Allan again.

About: Hi, I’m Jenny 👋 I’m a huge dog lover and have recently said goodbye to my much-loved 15-year-old pup. While I’m not quite ready to have another dog of my own, I really miss the joys they bring — from the sound of paws tapping across the floor to those happy, post-walk snores. I have plenty of hands-on experience, especially with senior dogs and those who need a little extra care. In my own boy’s later years I managed daily medication and supported his changing needs, so I’m very comfortable administering medication and providing calm, patient care. Your furry friend will be staying in a safe, clean and relaxed home where they’ll be treated like part of the family. I don’t have any pets (or children) of my own at the moment, so your dog will have my full attention and a calm, structured environment. I’m lucky to have great walking routes nearby, with local parks perfect for daily walks. I also love getting out for longer adventures — whether that’s a trip to the beach, exploring the nearby countryside or an afternoon pottering in the allotment, your dog will enjoy a mix of stimulation, fresh air, and enrichment (tailored to their energy level, of course!). I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pup and whether they are full of energy or prefer a slower pace, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and at home. I’ll treat them exactly as I would my own. ✅ Quiet, pet-free home – ideal for individual attention ✅ Nearby parks for regular walks ✅ Beach and countryside trips for extra adventures ✅ Experienced with senior dogs and additional care needs ✅ Comfortable administering medication ✅ Calm, reliable, and attentive ✅ Plenty of love, attention, and cuddles I’d love to help look after your best friend and give them a home-from-home and the peace of mind you need while you’re away 🐾 I work full time but work from home as much as I want or need to. I can adapt work schedule to meet your dogs needs I live in a large flat with shared gardens, there's lots of lovely parks and walks nearby. Your dog would be very much made to feel at home

About: Individual Attention: "I believe every dog is unique. I'll tailor my care to your dog's specific needs and preferences." I will let you know anytime how your dog is and send you videos and photos. I'm working 2 days a week. I have plenty of time to be with your dog and give him all the care he needs. Your pet will be well stimulated on those walks with games and treats. Our garden is safe. It is fenced of and locked. I prefere to take doggies for a walk before sending them to the garden. But the garden is safe.

About: Hi, I’m Cirila — I’d love to look after your pet while you’re away and make sure they feel happy, safe and relaxed. I’ve grown up with animals and have over 10 years of pet-sitting experience. I share my home with Fox, my gentle and friendly lurcher, who’s calm, well socialised, and used to having other dogs around. I’m self-employed, so I’m home most of the time and can give your pet plenty of attention, cuddles, and company. Dogs staying with me get at least one nice long walk a day, plus extra walks or playtime depending on what they enjoy. I’m also happy to pet-sit in your home if that’s what your pet prefers. I have experience looking after cats and budgies, as well as small animals. I really enjoy getting to know each pet and treating them like part of the family. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry (or feathered!) friend 🐶🐱🦜 Pet care is part of my everyday life. I’m self-employed, so I only take bookings when I’m working from home or on holiday, meaning your pet always has company. My own lurcher, Fox, keeps me on a routine of walks, playtime, and chill time — so looking after another dog just fits right in. I make sure every pet gets plenty of exercise, attention and a comfortable, calm day. In my home: Your dog becomes part of the family. They get daily walks, lots of company, playtime, and whatever routine you prefer. Fox is very friendly and enjoys having a buddy around. In your home: I follow your pet’s usual routine so they feel at home. I’m tidy, respectful, and send plenty of photo updates. With your permission, I may bring Fox along — he’s gentle and used to house-sitting with me.

About: Hi I’m Isabel, I took redundancy after working in a Bank for 38 years so I could look after my Mum. After she passed away I didn’t want to go back to office work, so decided to do something I knew I would love. I’ve been a cat owner for over 30 years, usually having 2 cats at a time. At the moment I only have 1 Clark & I think he adopted me, he loves being outside especially in the good weather. Like all Cats he enjoys his cuddles on his terms.

About: I’ve spent the last ten years caring for dogs of all ages, personalities and needs. I grew up with both dogs and cats, so looking after animals has always been a natural part of my life. I also have two dogs of my own, which means I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust completely with your pets. I offer boarding in a calm home environment and I only take one guest dog at a time (or multiple dogs from the same household). This allows me to give each dog plenty of attention and helps them settle in comfortably. I work from home, so dogs are rarely left alone and can enjoy a relaxed daily routine with walks, rest and company throughout the day. I have hands-on experience with rescue dogs and nervous pups, and I’m patient, calm and confident when helping them feel safe and comfortable. I’m happy working with puppies who need extra structure and consistency, as well as senior dogs who may need a gentler pace and more attentive care. My goal is always to make your pet feel loved, secure and understood while keeping you updated so you can relax knowing they are in good hands. If you are booking with Rover for the first time you can use my promo code ........ for £15 off your first booking! Pet care is a big part of my everyday life. I’m a full time dog walker and sitter, and I’m also a stay at home dad, so I spend most of my day at home and out on walks. This gives me plenty of time to focus on each dog’s needs, whether that’s exercise, company or a calm, steady presence. My schedule is flexible and centred around the pets I look after, which means I’m able to give them consistent attention and keep their routines as close as possible to what they’re used to. I offer dog walking and pet sitting or boarding in my home. When a dog stays with me, I focus on keeping their routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. I have a large fenced garden where dogs can play, explore and relax safely throughout the day. Crate trained dogs are welcome, but it’s not a requirement. I’m always happy to follow the owner’s instructions so their dog feels secure, relaxed and settled. Whether it’s sticking to feeding times, keeping up with training or providing a quiet space to unwind, I make sure each dog gets the care and attention they need while they’re with me.

This was my daft cocker spaniel puppy’s first experience of doggy daycare and someone else looking after him at all. Lynn had everything he needed and was just brilliant from start to finish, and the pup came home exhausted and happy from a busy day socialising and showing those big dogs how to puppy again! Thank you so much.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - South Lanarkshire

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in South Lanarkshire on Rover is £28.75 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 875 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in South Lanarkshire. About 88% of South Lanarkshire sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your South Lanarkshire commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
