“Very happy with the service provided by Kwai. Our dog Charlie was exhausted by the time we got him home, a clear sign of a fun filled day. Would recommend and will likely book again.”

“Both dogs had a lovely time with Koko, Yoyo and the kids. One almost didn’t want to come home and both were sleeping on the drive back home. Kept us up to date with all comings and goings and took great care of them Will definitely be coming back!”

About: I’ve was brought in a family that breed Jack russel terriers so I have always been around multiple dogs my entire lives . I had these as Pets Millie my Jack Russel lived to over 16 years she is now buried in my garden to keep her close .I currently own a 7 year Border Collie flow who is a wonderful dog so clever and obedient. I’m retired police officer so have lots of time to make sure your dog is well catered for with plenty of walks in different environments and love going to the rouken glen park for the glen walks that dogs love . I retired but still do couple days a week part time .This gives me loads of time to dedicate to your dog and take them really nice walks in the park and other green areas which are all close by . I live in newton mearns I have a fully enclosed garden and plenty of house space . I have completely road safe areas to the front of my home full of pedestrian paths that are great for dog walking .I also live close to many green areas which are really good and only 5 mins from rouken glen park were I love to the dogs a big walk in nature and play fun games with them .

“This was my first time leaving my dog with anyone and from the start I felt very relaxed about leaving him, he got a couple of walks which was great and he was a happy dog when I went to collect him , im really happy with everything and wouldnt hesitate to ask again , thank you”

“Michael’s been excellent - start to finish. Great communication, very accommodating to my random work hours etc. My puppy seems really happy on collection and Michael is very receptive to any special requirements around feeding and toilet etc. I’d highly recommend!”

“Cara was fantastic with Lumi our five month old GSD puppy 🐶💛. She had other dogs in the house but still gave everyone full attention and made sure he ate his meals and stayed on track with good behaviour. Her focus on preventing early bad habits is exactly what you want when trusting someone with a young German Shepherd puppy. She sent photos and updates throughout the day which kept us completely at ease and let us see how well he was settling in 📸🐾. She also chatted with us before and after the day which was really helpful. Lumi came home tired happy and clearly well looked after. Highly recommended for anyone needing caring and responsible doggy day care ✨.”

About: Hi, I’m Gillian. I’m a lifelong dog lover and have had dogs as part of my family since I was a young child. As a mum of two children and two much-loved dogs, I understand that every dog deserves to be treated with the same love, patience and care as our own. I work as a property investor, which means I have a flexible schedule and spend much of my time at home. This allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship and exercise, whether your dog is staying with us, coming for daycare or joining me for a walk. I’ve taken the time to educate myself on positive, reward-based dog training methods and believe that calm, consistent handling helps dogs feel safe and secure. My aim is to provide a happy, relaxed environment where your dog can settle in, have fun and receive lots of love while you’re at work or away on holiday. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I promise to care for your dog as if they were one of my own. I have recently left a 9 to 5 job to focus on property investing and working for myself. This allows me to be at home more often although I do go out but only for a few hours at a time. We take our own dogs for a walk first thing in the morning, around lunchtime and before bedtime. If your dog was boarding with us they would follow the same routine. I can be available for pet visits and dog walking throughout the day either for short, local walks or can take them to the nearest park or open area for a long walk/run to suit. My dogs love the ball thrower so can keep them entertained for as long as needed! I have a fenced garden with lots of space to run around! I have 2 dogs of my own - cocker spaniel and a border collie and they love having friends to play with. For boarding I will take 1 dog at a time or 2 if from the same household. For day care I can take up to 3 dogs at a time. If needed I can keep dogs separate as I have a converted garage in the garden. I can administer medication if needed and provide any specific treats. I’m happy to send pictures and updates to you and can tailor walks and routines to suit your dog’s needs as appropriate.
“Caitlin looked after Lily at very short notice for us for a family funeral today after we were let down at the last minute by another provider. She was very friendly, professional and most of all Lily loved her. I’d highly recommend Caitlin if you are looking for a dog sitter for your furry baby. Thanks again Caitlin! 🤍”

“Kiera was so great with Lola! Lola can be a little high maintenance due to her complex needs so it’s always a worry leaving her, but Kiera was so reassuring before by meeting up and then sending me updates. Lola was even relaxed enough to eat which she doesn’t always do when away from home. Lola was so chilled the rest of the night after I picked her up so knew she had a great day. Would absolutely recommend Kiera! Thanks so much again! 💕”

“Olwyn had a great time with David. This was her first visit after a short trial visit, and she was so excited to return. She is so well looked after and David is great at sending regular photos. Highly recommend.”

“Lauren and her husband, Fergus, were wonderful with Brewster. He clearly felt very comfortable in their home and with their dog Brodie, and he settled beautifully during his daycare stay. He came home calm and content each day, which was hugely reassuring. Communication was easy and reliable, and I felt completely confident leaving him in their care. We’re really looking forward to booking with them again.”

“Really happy with my pup’s daycare stay with Francesca! I received regular updates and photos throughout the day, which was really reassuring and made me feel comfortable knowing she was settled and being well looked after. Francesca was lovely and communicative from start to finish, and my pup seemed happy and relaxed. I’d definitely recommend her and would be happy to book again! Thanks!”

“Suzanne was great! Ruben seems to have settled right in straight away. He has come home happy, well fed and exercised. Perfect! I’ll definitely be calling on Suzanne again for doggy daycare ☺️?”

I currently work from home, so I am able to offer both short and long term care with lots of flexibility. I can make sure your pet will get the daily walks or full day companionship they need! “Short notice puppy sitter for our 11 week old husky. Was lovely in person, took our puppy no issues and handled her great, sent lots of updates and pictures/videos and even dealt with an indoor toilet accident without issue. Puppies are a ton of work, especially these active breeds so that was really appreciated. Nice wee photo at the end of our puppy sleeping beside her, so obviously happy and tired out. Gave our puppy some socialisation with her dog also which is what we wanted. Would recommend and use again :)”

“Caragh and Callum were the best sitters for my rescue greyhound! They're both so lovely and take the best care of Dappy. They're trustworthy and it's clear how much effort and care they put into dogsitting. I have no reservations about re-booking with them and it's clear that they prioritise safety and comfort for my dog.”

“Jiawen looked after my little dog at very short notice. I received multiple photos throughout the time and my dog seemed happy when I collected her. Would definitely recommend Jiawen :)”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and can’t picture myself without one. Right now I have Sierra, a 10-year-old rescue who has been with me for 9 years. I had a cat, Leo, for 14 years, and Sierra is very used to spending time with cats and other dogs. I live near some great parks where I’ll take your dog and will adapt to all his or her needs. For cats, I know how to give them the space they need and want, but I’ll give them all the love and attention they want. I work from home, so I’ll give them breakfast when we wake up, go out for a walk (from 30min to 1h), come back and relax while I work. If needed, I can take small breaks and take them out, otherwise we will go for another walk at lunchtime. At 5, I’ll feed them dinner (obviously I’ll adapt to whatever yours for your pet) and we go to the park to play/sniff/walk… We will go out again at around 8 for a quick walk (30 min or so), before bed time. I have my own dog who gets along with dogs and cats. They can sleep on the bed, sofa, floor, their own bed… wherever they want. They won’t be left unattended and I’ll adapt to their requirements.

Absolutely lovely sitter! They took such wonderful care of Patchy, kept me updated with photos, even hand-fed her when she needed a little encouragement, I felt completely at ease knowing she was so well looked after. Would absolutely recommend and use them again!

My dog Bran spent a lovely day at Koko and Yoyo's home. There were two other dogs boarding and Bran was introduced to them appropriately so was very relaxed around them, even indoors which is sometimes hard for him. Bran received a lot of attention and affection. The children were calm and were great with Bran. I received lots of fantastic photos and detailed updates, which I really appreciated. Would definitely use again!

Orla and Aine have looked after Tess a few times now, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Tess is always excited to go round and clearly has a brilliant time with them. They take her on lots of lovely walks, and she always comes home happy, relaxed and well looked after. We’d happily book with them again. Thank you both!

Lochie had a great afternoon with Kate and her family. He had so much fun that he is exhausted. Communication was great and Kate welcomed us into her home. She made me feel at ease, showing me her garden and had a bed laid out for him with a toy. Thanks for a great afternoon.

We are so happy we have found Wayne! Our 18-month-old American Akita girl has very specific needs. She thrives on a calm structured daily routine. Wayne has taken the time to get to know her as an individual and to understand her boundaries. He has created an environment where Phoebe feels calm, safe, and confident. That level of awareness and care is not easy to find, especially for guardian breeds like Akitas. It’s such a relief to know she’s in compassionate, caring, experienced hands -when we can’t be with her because of work- and we truly trust him with her wellbeing. We’ve found our long-term doggy daycare and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wayne to anyone looking for thoughtful, breed-aware care. I must also say Beans is the sweetest doggy girl! She loves cuddles and treats, and we love Phoebe having her as her daycare companion.

We couldn’t have asked for a better home-from-home for Brewster. He absolutely loved his time here and was treated like one of the family. The care, kindness and attention he received were exceptional, and we always felt completely reassured leaving him in such a warm and loving environment. Their own dog Brodue is wonderful too, and Brewster truly enjoyed the companionship. The only reason he has stopped attending is due to a recent health diagnosis, otherwise we would have continued without hesitation. We are incredibly grateful for everything they have done for him and would highly recommend them, any dog would be very lucky to spend time here 🥰

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
