“Would certainly recommend Kwai as we received first class treatment for our dog and were very reassured that she was being well looked after with lots of messages received while we were away.”

“Michael was very friendly, he kept us well updated with photos and videos throughout the day, which we really appreciated. Barney seemed comfortable during his visit and he seemed to enjoy running around the garden. We are booking with Michael again soon.”

About: Hi! My name is Koko. I have lived with dogs since I was born and have kept pets throughout my life, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of who I am. Over the years, I have cared for many types of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, rodents, amphibians, and reptiles. This experience has helped me understand different animal personalities and how to make them feel comfortable, safe, and happy. I have experience with many dog breeds and sizes, from small dogs such as Chihuahuas and Pomeranians to larger breeds including Mastiffs and Pit Bulls. I also have experience caring for puppies and anxious pets. Every dog is unique, and I always respect their routines, personalities, and individual needs. Taking care of dogs brings me happiness and peace, which is one of the main reasons I enjoy being a dog sitter. I provide care with love, patience, and responsibility, and I truly enjoy spending time with animals. My whole family loves animals, and we provide a calm and welcoming environment for every pet. When your pet is with me, they will be treated like part of the family. I will care for your fur baby as if they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you are away. As a new sitter, I am offering slightly lower prices while building my reviews. I mostly work from home, which allows me to spend most of my time at home and provide consistent attention and supervision for pets in my care. This flexible schedule means I can easily incorporate walks, feeding times, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I am also generally flexible with check-in and check-out times, helping to accommodate owners’ travel plans while ensuring pets remain comfortable and well cared for. 🐾 Your dog will stay in a safe, calm, and welcoming home environment. We have a secure fenced garden, allowing dogs to enjoy fresh air, supervised outdoor time, and safe play. The home is clean, comfortable, and pet-friendly, providing a relaxing space where dogs can feel at ease. Animals have always been part of our household, and my whole family loves animals, so every pet is welcomed with kindness and care. I make sure each dog receives attention, affection, and a comfortable place to rest. I also understand that every dog has different habits and routines, so I do my best to maintain their normal schedule, including feeding times, walks, and rest periods. My goal is to help your dog feel secure, relaxed, and at home while you are away. 🐾

“Thank you so much Cara for taking care of Honey. We really appreciated the updates showing how well she settled and how well she got on with your lovely dogs. She had a ball! It was very obvious that Cara and her mum are huge dog lovers. Honey had the best time and like us she would highly recommend.”

“Caitlin’s was an absolute life saver with my very last minute booking, and ensured everything was fine. Communication was clear and consistent, and I could tell from all the photos I was sent that Milo was a very happy puppy. Haggis was also very helpful, making sure Milo was highly entertained throughout the day and gave a wonderful tour of the local area and parks. Highly recommend Caitlin & Haggis!”

“We are so happy we have found Wayne! Our 18-month-old American Akita girl has very specific needs. She thrives on a calm structured daily routine. Wayne has taken the time to get to know her as an individual and to understand her boundaries. He has created an environment where Phoebe feels calm, safe, and confident. That level of awareness and care is not easy to find, especially for guardian breeds like Akitas. It’s such a relief to know she’s in compassionate, caring, experienced hands -when we can’t be with her because of work- and we truly trust him with her wellbeing. We’ve found our long-term doggy daycare and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wayne to anyone looking for thoughtful, breed-aware care. I must also say Beans is the sweetest doggy girl! She loves cuddles and treats, and we love Phoebe having her as her daycare companion.”

“Kiera was so great with Lola! Lola can be a little high maintenance due to her complex needs so it’s always a worry leaving her, but Kiera was so reassuring before by meeting up and then sending me updates. Lola was even relaxed enough to eat which she doesn’t always do when away from home. Lola was so chilled the rest of the night after I picked her up so knew she had a great day. Would absolutely recommend Kiera! Thanks so much again! 💕”

About: I’m a student in the southside of Glasgow with a lifelong love for dogs! I’ve worked at a Doggy Daycare and Boarding Kennels part-time for around a year now so feel at ease around a large number of dogs. I’ve taken care of my neighbours dogs - german shepherd and golden retrievers - for as long as i can remember, walking them almost everyday over summers and whenever i can other times. I’ve also in recent years cared for them whilst my neighbours are on holiday so have plenty of experience with general day to day care of others’ pets. I have my own little dachshund Joey who i adore but doesn’t much like walking unfortunately so looking for another wee walking buddy. I work part time and am free of uni work all summer so dog-walking would just be a fun way of filling this spare time i have! I’m used to caring for dogs in their own home - they’re most comfortable and it suits me best. I do bring the dogs to my own house from time to time just to meet Joey and play outside - i’m lucky to have quite a big back garden which comes in handy!
“Milo was very well taken care of today. It’s the first time we have left our 5 month old puppy with anyone but Andreea was very reassuring and gave me regular updates. He was very well cared for and was encouraged to make himself at home, which was lovely. Thanks Andreea”
“Bonnie, our senior beagle girl had a wonderful time with Lauren and her lovely family. On two occasions, one day after the other, at extremely short notice, they welcomed her in and looked after her so well. Their gorgeous lab, Brodie, is so gentle and Bonnie was lucky enough to be with the family when 2 other lovely dogs were visiting. They also have a lovely safe fenced garden. Bonnie also has kidney problems and we knew she’d be looked after especially well. The whole family love dogs and we certainly wouldn’t hesitate to board Bonnie again.”

About: I’ve looked after dogs with my grandma since I was young. Now I'm ready to take it on myself using all that she has taught me. I’m on study leave just now, with only one exam on 20 May, and I’m free most of the summer except 27 May–11 June. I can do walks and doggy daycare Monday–Friday from 7:30am–7:30pm, and Saturdays until 3:30pm. On Sundays I’m happy to take dogs to the Cathkin Braes for a longer walks and play. I have a fenced garden that’s great for quick toilet breaks and relaxing outside. I’ve looked after neighbours’ and family friends’ pets for over five years, and we’ve had our own dog and rabbits too. I always keep things calm, safe, and comfortable for every pet in our quiet 2 story 4 bed house with just me and my mum.
“Jiawen looked after my little dog at very short notice. I received multiple photos throughout the time and my dog seemed happy when I collected her. Would definitely recommend Jiawen :)”

About: I’m a lawyer who now works from home full time. I absolutely adore dogs and would love to look after your gorgeous pet 😊 I’ve owned dogs and cats since the age of 11 and absolutely love all kinds of animals. I’ve got a goofy fluffy dog who is 1 year old now and love teaching him new skills. As I work from home, I will be around at home all day so your dog is not left alone for long periods of time. I’m available for boarding, pet-sitting, drop-ins and walks most days of the week in accordance with my calendar availability. I work from home so have quite a flexible schedule. I have a house with a secure garden in Newlands close to Linn Park, Pollok Park, Newlands Park and Queens Park. Your pets will get plenty of exercise and space to play!
“We couldn’t have asked for better care for our German Shepherd, Skye! Aleksandra and her husband were an absolute dream team 🐾 From the moment we left, Skye was showered with love, cuddles, and tons of attention 🐶 They stuck to her routine perfectly, noticed every little detail we mentioned, and even had fun doing tricks with her along the way! 🎉✨ Plenty of walks through the day kept her happy and tired (in the best way), and we loved getting frequent updates with sweet photos and messages — it really put our minds at ease. 😊 Their communication was super responsive and so reassuring. At the end of the stay, Aleksandra and her husband took the time to go through everything with us and Skye came home one very happy, tail-wagging girl 🐕💙 Thank you both so much for taking such wonderful care of our furry family member - we’re already looking forward to booking with you again! 🙌 See you again very soon! 🐾 Highly recommend! 🌟”

“Nabila was friendly and helpful towards me, and kind and understanding towards my dog, Bran, a rescue who can struggle at times from being separated from me. Nabila's communication was good and she sent photos and updates on how Bran was doing. I'd definitely use her again!”

“Kaelan looked after my 15 week old puppy, Albie for the day and Albie had the best time! He was so happy with him. Lots of fun and socialisation and he was knackered when he came home. Already booked in again. Thanks Kaelan :)”

“Short notice puppy sitter for our 11 week old husky. Was lovely in person, took our puppy no issues and handled her great, sent lots of updates and pictures/videos and even dealt with an indoor toilet accident without issue. Puppies are a ton of work, especially these active breeds so that was really appreciated. Nice wee photo at the end of our puppy sleeping beside her, so obviously happy and tired out. Gave our puppy some socialisation with her dog also which is what we wanted. Would recommend and use again :)”

Kwai was very quick to respond to messages and very accommodating with our scheduling needs. We felt completely confident leaving our dog Gracie in his care. He sent photographs throughout the day and she was content and relaxed on collection. We will gladly call on Kwai again in future.

We couldn’t have asked for a better home-from-home for Brewster. He absolutely loved his time here and was treated like one of the family. The care, kindness and attention he received were exceptional, and we always felt completely reassured leaving him in such a warm and loving environment. Their own dog Brodue is wonderful too, and Brewster truly enjoyed the companionship. The only reason he has stopped attending is due to a recent health diagnosis, otherwise we would have continued without hesitation. We are incredibly grateful for everything they have done for him and would highly recommend them, any dog would be very lucky to spend time here 🥰

Karris was a terrific sitter for our 3 year old cockerpoo. She bonded with him immediately and he clearly enjoyed spending time with Karris. Updates were provided throughout the day. I would have no hesitation recommending Karris to look after your dog.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.
Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
