“Claire was absolutely wonderful with our boy Stanley! She looked after him for a few days while we were away getting married and she instantly put our minds at ease. She came over to grab the keys and meet Stan beforehand and you can just tell she truly cares about all her wee cat clients! Thank you so much, Claire! :)”

“Both cats took to Keli right away (one tends to hide from visitors) and were very content when I got home. All care instructions followed and I could see from the pictures provided that the cats were very happy during the visits. The updates provided were very much appreciated. Thank you for looking after them so well!!”

“Cloe was fantastic with Jinx and kept me updated throughout. She made sure he was well taken care of and cleaned up after him too. I’d definitely book with her again. Thanks again, Cloe!”

About: Hi i’m Cara and i have been around animals all my life. I have worked with a range of animals including dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, reptiles and much more! I have a HNC Animal care qualification and just finished my first year in the veterinary nursing degree course. I love working with all animals and have 3 dogs of my own ranging from 3-11 years old. I have previously worked in a kennels and done lots of dog walking and dog and cat sitting during the holiday months! I am a Veterinary Nursing student who has now stopped for the summer break. I have a lot of free time now that i am not studying at the moment and my schedule is very flexible. I am able to drive so i can pick up and drop off your dogs when suitable and take them various places for walks. I am able to keep the dogs on the lead or let them off if they have good recall aswell as doing single walks or group walks!(whatever your dog prefers). I have qualifications in animal behaviour and welfare so i have learnt loads on how to read dogs body language and adapting to their needs. I have experience with young dogs and senior dogs. I have also worked with nervous and anxious dogs in the past and know how to act accordingly. I also have experience working in a kennels and with rescue dogs which taught me a lot about each individuals dog needs and their personality’s!
About: I've had dogs since I was a child. Our very first dog was a poodle called Noodle that we got when I was 10, but I'd been pretending to have dogs long before that so I felt well prepared! I'm a huge dog lover and understand how important your dog is to you as an integral member of your family. Similarly, I treat the dogs in my care like my very own family members - you can be rest assured that they will get all the love and affection they deserve! I understand exactly the care, attention and effort it takes to look after a pet. I have my own dog, a 3-year old cockapoo called Bebop, who we've had since she was a puppy. From training to grooming to vet visits, I really understand first hand what is needed to take care of your dog. Our dog has allergies and stomach issues, and so I'm very comfortable working to your dog's own special requirements. I have experience with senior dogs too, as I frequently look after my mum's 11-year old min pin. I have plenty of time during the week and at the weekends, and I'm very happy to take last minute bookings. I'm based in the Southside of Glasgow and I have a car, so I usually walk around Queens Park, Pollok Park or Maxwell Park. However, if you have any kind of preference, I'm happy to accommodate! I have my own dog who is very friendly and sociable, but I understand that not all dogs are suited to walking with others. I'm very happy to take your lead on what you feel is best for your dog, and I'm pleased to provide a 1 on 1 service. Expect lots of love, attention and playfulness (if that's what your dog enjoys!).
“Lauren has been great, we have weekly drop in and walk visits and I feel really happy that Keela is in safe hands. Great communication at all times and lovely updates during her visit. Highly recommended”

About: I’m a friendly, caring, and responsible person with a genuine love for animals. I’ve had dogs in my home country and have always cared deeply about animals, including helping stray dogs and volunteering to support and look after them whenever I could. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I have a flexible schedule, so I can make time for walks, feeding, playtime, and giving pets the attention and company they need. I always follow the owner’s instructions and the pet’s usual routine. I make sure they are fed on time, have fresh water, get regular walks and playtime, and receive plenty of attention and affection. I also keep their environment clean, comfortable, and safe, and I’m happy to provide regular updates to the owner.
“Charlotte was really great with Leo given that he is an outdoor cat who likes regular access to house which can sometimesbe tricky to manage. Thankfully he was waiting for her each afternoon to come in for the evening. Judging by the photos he did trust her which made me feel a lot happier away on my trip. She was great to communicate with and she was happy to adjust time on one of the days when the weather was really wet and cold. Very happy with Charlotte and would book again. 🙏🐾🐈”

About: 🐾💕 I'm a friendly, caring and reliable 20yr old who has always loved animals. I've grown up having pets for as long as I can remember and have experience caring for a range of animals from fish to dogs. I regularly look after pets belonging to friends and family, including caring for my own pets when family are away. 🐶 I have experience with dogs with different personalities and behaviours, including dogs that can be nervous, bark or bite. I understand the importance of being patient, attentive and understanding the needs of each individual animal. 🐱 Services that I provide include dog walking, drop in visits, and pet sitting. The care I offer can include feedings, water changes, playtime, walks, basic grooming and plenty of company. The length of my services can range anything between a ten minute to drop in to overnight stays, I'm happy to adapt to the needs of the specific animal and the service booked. 🐹 I'll follow your pets usual routine and any specific instructions that you provide. I'm also happy to send regular updates and photos whilst caring for your pets. 🐠 I'm based in East Renfrewshire and I can travel around Glasgow depending on the distance and commute. I'm happy to discuss your pets routine, personality and needs beforehand so I can provide the best possible care. 💕🐾 I’m currently working a part time job on a small contract and so have lots of spare time to dedicate to other activities! I’ll have the ability to care for the animals for extensive times. I have a fenced garden and two pets of my own, 1 cat and 1 dog. They’re friendly and compatible ( a little awkward) but once they’re comfortable, they’re great!

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 4 years old, so caring for them has always been a big part of my life. I’m confident with feeding, walking, playing, giving lots of attention, and understanding each dog’s individual personality and needs. I know how important it is to treat every pet like a member of the family, and I’ll make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely love spending time with animals. My own dog has separation anxiety, so I understand how important patience, consistency, and reassurance are. I know every dog is different, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine to help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re awa As a nursing student, I have a flexible schedule outside of my lectures and will keep my availability updated. I’m happy to provide dog walks and drop-in visits, and I’ll always communicate clearly and send regular updates with photos after every visit. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. I’ll carefully follow your instructions, including feeding routines, medication, walking routes, and any special requirements. I understand that every pet is different, and because one of my own dogs has separation anxiety, I know the importance of patience, consistency, and making pets feel safe and comfortable. I’ll treat your home with respect and care for your pet as if they were my own.
About: Since primary school, I have often taken care of my brother's or friends' dogs or cats, and I am very patient and careful with them! I'm currently a student at the University of Glasgow and I don't have a lot of classes this semester so I'm available every week except Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I can't easily bring them home as I live in a student flat in the city centre As I live in a student flat in the city centre, it's not convenient to bring them home. But I can take them for walks in parks, such as to the one next to Glasgow University (I go for walks in these places quite often). I'm also considering looking after them during the day at the pet owner's house.

About: Hi, I’m Gillian. I’m a lifelong dog lover and have had dogs as part of my family since I was a young child. As a mum of two children and two much-loved dogs, I understand that every dog deserves to be treated with the same love, patience and care as our own. I work as a property investor, which means I have a flexible schedule and spend much of my time at home. This allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship and exercise, whether your dog is staying with us, coming for daycare or joining me for a walk. I’ve taken the time to educate myself on positive, reward-based dog training methods and believe that calm, consistent handling helps dogs feel safe and secure. My aim is to provide a happy, relaxed environment where your dog can settle in, have fun and receive lots of love while you’re at work or away on holiday. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I promise to care for your dog as if they were one of my own. I have recently left a 9 to 5 job to focus on property investing and working for myself. This allows me to be at home more often although I do go out but only for a few hours at a time. We take our own dogs for a walk first thing in the morning, around lunchtime and before bedtime. If your dog was boarding with us they would follow the same routine. I can be available for pet visits and dog walking throughout the day either for short, local walks or can take them to the nearest park or open area for a long walk/run to suit. My dogs love the ball thrower so can keep them entertained for as long as needed! I have a fenced garden with lots of space to run around! I have 2 dogs of my own - cocker spaniel and a border collie and they love having friends to play with. For boarding I will take 1 dog at a time or 2 if from the same household. For day care I can take up to 3 dogs at a time. If needed I can keep dogs separate as I have a converted garage in the garden. I can administer medication if needed and provide any specific treats. I’m happy to send pictures and updates to you and can tailor walks and routines to suit your dog’s needs as appropriate.

“Second time having Karris drop in on my cats whilst I am away. They are more familiar with her now and the pictures definitely show they are more than happy. Thank you Karris, definitely using your service again.”

About: I’m a student in the southside of Glasgow with a lifelong love for dogs! I’ve worked at a Doggy Daycare and Boarding Kennels part-time for around a year now so feel at ease around a large number of dogs. I’ve taken care of my neighbours dogs - german shepherd and golden retrievers - for as long as i can remember, walking them almost everyday over summers and whenever i can other times. I’ve also in recent years cared for them whilst my neighbours are on holiday so have plenty of experience with general day to day care of others’ pets. I have my own little dachshund Joey who i adore but doesn’t much like walking unfortunately so looking for another wee walking buddy. I work part time and am free of uni work all summer so dog-walking would just be a fun way of filling this spare time i have! I’m used to caring for dogs in their own home - they’re most comfortable and it suits me best. I do bring the dogs to my own house from time to time just to meet Joey and play outside - i’m lucky to have quite a big back garden which comes in handy!

I've lost track of how many times Kristeen has looked after my cat now, but she had been an excellent cat sitter every time! We always come back to a well cared for cat and she sends an update and pictures at every visit. I would heartily recommend her to everyone. Our cat can be skittish but Kristeen always wins her over! We will book with her whenever we go away if at all possible.
Both cats took to Keli right away (one tends to hide from visitors) and were very content when I got home. All care instructions followed and I could see from the pictures provided that the cats were very happy during the visits. The updates provided were very much appreciated. Thank you for looking after them so well!!

We couldn’t have been happier with the care Rachel provided for our cats! Before we left, she took the time to meet them and get to know their personalities, which gave us great peace of mind. Our cat Sophie is usually quite shy around strangers, but she warmed up to Rachel right away and seemed completely comfortable with her. Throughout our time away, Rachel sent us regular updates and photos, which reassured us that our cats were happy and well cared for. I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive cat sitter. We’ll definitely be booking her again in the future!
I couldn't have asked for better cat sitters than Genevieve and Rory! They sent regular updates on my cat Ziggy and he was clearly very happy in their company from the first visit as well as respectful of my home. A joy to chat with and have made me look forward to booking them again - very happy to recommend to anyone

Amber was an absolute god send for us on our recent lengthy holiday, she took excellent care of our young cat and was reliable, flexible, professional and very resourceful in dealing with issues such as the heatwave and a dead rat!! She is clearly experienced and natural with animals and became good friends with our shy little miso, it was such a load off our minds, Amber is trustworthy and approachable and we felt very safe having her in our home, we look forward to having her again and also introducing her to our rescue dog, she was very knowledgeable and understanding about nervous dogs which is a rare find. So glad we picked Amber and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.
Alex always does a fantastic job, and I keep booking him because he treats my cats with such kindness and attention. His daily WhatsApp updates with photos feel incredibly reassuring and make me smile while I’m away. My two cats are always content, relaxed, and full of good spirits when I come home, which tells me everything I need to know about the care he gives them. I’m truly grateful for him and couldn’t recommend him more highly.

We cannot thank or recommend Giulia enough. She noticed our boy was not peeing but trying the litter tray frequently, got in touch with us and after speaking with the vets took him and got him sorted. She was reassuring and kept us updated all the way and I honestly am so grateful for everything. Thanks so much again x

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Renfrewshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
