“Georgie was great! My dog loved her - he got much love & attention and plenty of exercises. She was extremely gracious about staying later on the last day when my flight was delayed, Plus my flat was spotless after her stay. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi! My name is Koko. I have lived with dogs since I was born and have kept pets throughout my life, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of who I am. Over the years, I have cared for many types of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, rodents, amphibians, and reptiles. This experience has helped me understand different animal personalities and how to make them feel comfortable, safe, and happy. I have experience with many dog breeds and sizes, from small dogs such as Chihuahuas and Pomeranians to larger breeds including Mastiffs and Pit Bulls. I also have experience caring for puppies and anxious pets. Every dog is unique, and I always respect their routines, personalities, and individual needs. Taking care of dogs brings me happiness and peace, which is one of the main reasons I enjoy being a dog sitter. I provide care with love, patience, and responsibility, and I truly enjoy spending time with animals. My whole family loves animals, and we provide a calm and welcoming environment for every pet. When your pet is with me, they will be treated like part of the family. I will care for your fur baby as if they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you are away. As a new sitter, I am offering slightly lower prices while building my reviews. I mostly work from home, which allows me to spend most of my time at home and provide consistent attention and supervision for pets in my care. This flexible schedule means I can easily incorporate walks, feeding times, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I am also generally flexible with check-in and check-out times, helping to accommodate owners’ travel plans while ensuring pets remain comfortable and well cared for. 🐾 Your dog will stay in a safe, calm, and welcoming home environment. We have a secure fenced garden, allowing dogs to enjoy fresh air, supervised outdoor time, and safe play. The home is clean, comfortable, and pet-friendly, providing a relaxing space where dogs can feel at ease. Animals have always been part of our household, and my whole family loves animals, so every pet is welcomed with kindness and care. I make sure each dog receives attention, affection, and a comfortable place to rest. I also understand that every dog has different habits and routines, so I do my best to maintain their normal schedule, including feeding times, walks, and rest periods. My goal is to help your dog feel secure, relaxed, and at home while you are away. 🐾
“Ian has a really lovely natural way with dogs. Loki took to him instantly. I felt reassured that Loki was being well looked after whilst I attended my mum's funeral. He followed instructions. I will certainly book him again. Thank you”

“Elizabeth has been looking after my two for some time now. The dogs love her! She’s always on time, communicates really well. She’s flexible should I need to adjust slightly the times. I can’t say any negative, and atop all of that she’s a lovely person. I would totally recommend Elizabeth.”

“Bridget really helped us out at short notice when we were visiting Glasgow. Our dogs took to her immediately and we felt after meeting her that we were leaving them in good hands. Her communication was excellent and it was lovely to get some pics of updates during her stay. Bridget was very flexible to meet our needs and would highly recommend.”

About: I have taken care of dogs my entire life from puppy to senior with love and compassion. I have taken care of dogs with health issues and have no problem giving them baths or whatever they need. I’m currently looking to do this full time and am very flexible at this moment in time. So looking to really kick on from here and help however I can. I will discuss all your pets needs and make a plan of action. Whether they need medication or need extra walkies I can make it work.
“Libby-Jade looked after Kayla for three days and gave her really wonderful care and attention! I am so glad to have found Libby-Jade on Rover and am looking forward to booking again. :)”

About: I’m a huge dog lover and would love to care for your pet as if they were my own. I’ve grown up with dogs all my life, including two rescue dogs, so I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine and needs. I currently help care for my mum’s and dad’s rescue dog, regularly look after a family friend’s Belgian Malinois, and often walk and dog sit for friends’ dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes. This has given me experience with energetic dogs, puppies, rescue dogs and those who simply enjoy a slower-paced day. I’m a calm, patient and reliable person who enjoys spending time outdoors, so long walks are something I genuinely look forward to. I know how important consistency is for dogs, so I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, whether that’s feeding times, medication, favourite walking routes, training cues or bedtime routines. I also understand how reassuring it is to know your dog is happy while you’re away, so I’m always happy to send regular photo and video updates. I live in a flat with access to a garden and have beautiful walking routes nearby along the River Clyde as well as several local parks, giving your dog plenty of opportunities for exercise, enrichment and sniffing adventures. I’m happy caring for: • Puppies • Adult and senior dogs • Rescue dogs • Large and small breeds • Cats • Multi-pet households I also drive, making it easy to travel to you or take your pet on suitable outings if needed. I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet lots of attention, walks, playtime and company. I’m happy to work around their usual routine and can be flexible with days and times. I have a pet-friendly flat with access to a garden and lots of great walking spots nearby. I don’t have any pets in my home, so your dog can enjoy a calm environment with plenty of one-to-one attention. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine and send regular updates while you’re away.
“Neve was great at looking after Ralph and put my mind at ease by sending updates with pictures. He has separation anxiety which has meant he can’t be left alone but to know that he was comforted with someone was great. Thank you Neve :)”

“Jessica was wonderful! My doggo was happy as anything- I got regular updates when I asked for them but the rest of the time she left me to enjoy my holiday and had everything under control at home! Will definitely be asking Jess to dogsit again:) Thank you!”

“We had such a lovely experience with Saskia. Her communication was excellent prior to our dog’s sitting service. She was super friendly and easily available to chat and meet up. It was very clear that she has a deep care and love for animals so I felt so comfortable leaving Xena with her. She took a good care of our dog and spoiled her with treats. Also the house was immaculate on our return. I would highly recommend Saskia and will definitely be a returning customer in the future.”

About: I’ve always loved dogs and been lucky enough to finally get one 5 years ago. My picture is of me and Freddie, my labradoodle. He lives with his dad 50% of the time so I am free to take care of your dog during this time. I have full public liability insurance and am happy to come to your home. I live on the southside and have a car so can travel. Southside is preferred due to the cost of fuel. I am available for dog sitting, walks and overnights in your home. I’m free to take care of your dog Wednesday- Friday and some Saturdays. I can do overnight, pop ins and walks in your area. I will come to your home to care for your dog. I’m happy to do walks, pop ins or overnights. Let me know if your dog has a preferred walking route.
“Angela did a fabulous job looking after our energetic pup Archie whilst we were both away for a week. She gave him all of his favourite things - plenty of walks, treats and attention. We got regular updates which helped us feel reassured. We would definitely book Angela again”

About: When I'm not looking after animals, you'll usually find me outdoors — I'm currently 120 Munros into all 282, and I love hiking, travelling, and both indoor and outdoor bouldering whenever I get the chance. I grew up in the north of Scotland, mostly in Shetland and Scourie, and I've spent a lot of time travelling and house sitting in those areas too, so I'm very comfortable in remote or rural settings as well as busier towns and cities. Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember — I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, cows, and horses, so looking after them just feels natural to me! I've been pet sitting for over 16 years now, both here in the UK and while travelling around Europe and Asia, and I love that animals have been part of every adventure along the way. At home, I've got two dogs and three cats keeping me busy (and very loved). Some of my favourite memories come from a hobby I did with National Geographic, working with an NGO called Target that helps protect animals from poachers. I got to work alongside animal experts from all over the world in India's national parks — setting up cameras and spending time with tigers, tiger cubs, snakes, tortoises, and dogs. It was an incredible experience and taught me so much about how different animals think and behave. I've cared for pets from tiny month-old puppies and kittens all the way up to a wise old 14.5-year-old collie, across loads of different breeds. I've also helped rescue dogs settle in — from Romania, learning to trust humans and live alongside other pets, and from northern Scotland, helping them become calmer and more confident, learning to walk nicely on a lead, stay relaxed around other dogs, and not bark so much. Animals have always had a huge place in my heart, and I've looked after them both one-on-one and in multi-pet households, so whether it's a single pet needing full attention or a busy home with several animals at once, I'm comfortable managing it all. Honestly, what I love most is getting to know each animal's own personality — because just like people, no two are ever the same! I take the time to understand them, play with them, and learn something new every single day. If you're looking for someone who'll genuinely care for your pet like their own, I'd love to meet them! I'm very flexible when it comes to pet care, and I'm happy to fit my schedule around yours rather than the other way round — whether that means early mornings, late evenings, or something in between. I know how much it means to feel completely at ease while you're away, so I love sending photo updates of your pet enjoying their time with me, so you can see for yourself that they're happy, safe, and well looked after. Communication is a big part of how I work, so if you ever want an update or have a specific routine you'd like followed, I'm always just a message away. I try to respond to your queries within 30 minutes, unless I'm away hiking or somewhere with no network — but even then, I'll get back to you as soon as I'm reachable! 🙂 When I'm caring for pets in your home, I like to keep things as close to normal as possible, so your pet babies can stick to their own routine rather than having to adjust to mine. I spend time playing with them, talking to them, and giving them plenty of attention throughout the day — walkies for dogs, playtime for cats, and anything extra you'd like me to do to keep them happy and comfortable. Your home and your pet's usual habits always come first, so just let me know what works best for them and I'll follow your lead. :)
About: 🏡 I'm back! After spending some time with family outside the city, we've finally bought our first home and moved back to Glasgow and so I'm excited to be offering house sitting again! 🐾 I'm an experienced pet sitter with a love for dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and personalities. At home I have a gorgeous long-haired cat and a happy Cocker Spaniel, so I understand just how important it is to keep your pets happy, comfortable, and in their normal routine while you're away. When we rescued our cocker I had such a hard time leaving her with anyone so I totally understand any separate anxiety from both sides! Whether it's walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, medication, or simply keeping them company, I'll care for your pets like they're my own. ✨ Regular photo updates ✨ Experienced with dogs of all breeds and cats ✨ Happy to follow your pet's usual routine ✨ Oral medication and special feeding schedules welcome (unable to give injectable meds, so sorry!) ✨ Respectful, tidy, and reliable in your home ✨ Last-minute bookings available! If you're looking for someone friendly, trustworthy, and genuinely pet obsessed, I'd love to meet you and your furry family! 💛 🐾 My calendar is up to date for the year and I am now take bookings until the end of March 2027 Your pet’s routine becomes my routine! 🐶🐱 I believe the best care comes from keeping things as familiar and stress free as possible, so I work around what each individual pet needs. Whether your dog loves early morning walks, your cat prefers a quiet afternoon nap, or your pet has specific feeding and medication times, their comfort and routine are always my priority. 💛 I’m also happy to accommodate last minute bookings where I have availability, because sometimes life happens and your pets still need someone they trust. 🐾 I currently offer house sitting in your pet’s own home, where they feel safest and happiest. 🏠✨ I’ll keep their normal routine as closely as possible from walks and meals to playtime, cuddles, grooming, and quiet time. I know some pets love lots of attention, while others need a little space to settle, and I always respect their personality. 🐈💕 I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing they’re happy and looked after. 📸
“Phoebe was so happy to see Sydney she was bouncing around and ran down stairs to meet her making happy noises . She was well looked after again and was well exercised with her ball which she loves . We got plenty pictures to ease our minds which showed us Phoebe was having such a good time without us . This is our third time using Sydney and are already looking to rebook for our nxt holiday . Would recommend Sydney to anyone needing a sitter and are happy to have her stay in our home to look after Phoebe in her own space makes it so much easier when we go away she’s not to upset about us leaving as she has her friend to come look after her”

“Emilia was the perfect house/pet-sitter for us. Our two dogs Barkley & Elmo along with Rocky the cat can be a handful but she coped ably, provided regular updates and allowed us all to enjoy our holiday in the knowledge that they were well cared for at home. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

“Norris loved Hannah. She was prompt, communicative and took the time to come and meet him in advance of the sit. He is anxious at first and she was sure to reassure him before his walk. He was very calm and happy when I returned. We will definitely use Hannah again.”

I couldn't have asked for more friendly, reliable sitters. The boys were very well looked after and I was updated daily on how they were getting on. I had to make this booking every last minute and really appreciate how straightforward that was. Would definitely recommend!

I Would like to thank Cara so much for taking care of Buddy. Along with other health issues Buddy was diagnosed with heart failure a week before I was due to go on holiday, so I was in two minds whether to go. In the end I did go and Cara made my time away so much easier. Buddy was well looked after by Cara and had the best time with Cara, her family and her dogs. Cara kept me updated each day with messages in the morning and bedtime as to how Buddy was, with plenty of photos, videos of their day. This put my mind at rest seeing him having fun with Cara. I would highly recommend Cara to anyone looking for their pet to be well cared for while they are on holiday 💙

Finding Amardeep was a blessing! I have been looking for the best sitter to leave my precious girls with and I am delighted to have finally found her. She has got girls love instantly and I am now totally relaxed about leaving them for longer periods when travelling. Lovely, caring and reliable, I highly recommend Amardeep. Thank you so much

Rachel was absolutely fantastic! This was our first time having someone dog-sit in our home and she made the whole experience so easy. She took wonderful care of our three dogs — they were happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. On top of that, she treated our house with great respect and kept everything in perfect order. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Highly recommend!

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Renfrewshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
