Highly recommend booking in with Chloe! Piper is a rescue and can be a bit anxious at first but as soon as I met Chloe I knew I could trust her to look after Piper! I got regular updates and photos from Chloe which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious that my dog was not only well cared for but genuinely happy and comfortable. If you’re looking for someone to look after your dog, I can’t recommend Chloe enough! I’ll definitely be booking again!

About: I have been looking after and walking dogs since the age of 12, my family members and friends often rely on me to take their dogs on toilet breaks and walks allowing them to get exercises when the owner is unable to do so. For the past three years I have been dog sitting in owners homes while they are on holiday to ensure as little disruption to the pet as possible. I’m currently working part time, just three nights a week, so I’ll have plenty of free time to play, walk and engage with your puppy I will care for your fur baby, by stepping into their routine with as little disruption as possible. This will be done by getting clear instructions, knowing emergency contacts, pets will feel comfortable in their own home surrounded by comforting items.

Robyn was an absolute star! We loved getting pictures and updates, being kept in the loop about anything happening with our girls. We were also so impressed by how thoughtful and conscientious she is. Our girls have a way of tossing litter about the place and, before using the hoover, Robyn got in touch to ask if the girls were afraid of the hoover at all so she could adjust accordingly. Our girls loved her, too. The first few photos we received from Robyn were of our girls cuddling with her - they don’t cuddle with just anyone! Can’t recommend her enough and we’re so grateful to have had her watching our wee ones.

Chloe is a brilliant petsitter. Our Luna has a lot of needs (meds 3x a day, eating every 5 hours) and Chloe didn’t blink. Luna was calm and happy after a week with her - a big deal as she’s anxious when we’re away! And Chloe went above and beyond in leaving the house as clean or cleaner than when she arrived. Highly recommend!

About: I have been around dogs all of my life. I am currently the guardian of two dogs and absolutely love spending as much of my day as possible with them. We take long walks across the glennifer braes, road trips to the beach and strolls ans ball throws in the local parks. We are constantly training- sometimes the boys forget their manners, so we are always practicing!! I have raised Marlo from being a puppy whilst flash is adopted so have experience around dogs of all ages and backgrounds. Our household has four years experience also in Epilepsy management. The care of flash can be quite complex- he’s on a strict medication and food routine to help manage his seizures. Growing up the dogs in my life have been German shepherds, Irish setter, border collie, Lhasapso, Labradors, Retrievers, patterdale terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier and of course mungrels. So far and having just started my business I have cared for little fudge who is a french bulldog and a little angel 😇. We had him overnight on a couple of occasions and during the day for walkies a few days also. He fit right in once I got him to calm down 😂 purely excited to be with us he was. I have also had the beautiful and soft natured Belle who's a retired racing greyhound. She immediately lay down like she was at home and bonded with flash who has the same energy as her. She walked perfectly and proudly around with the pack and was just another angel 😇. I have currently a home boarding booked in a with a little lhasaapsu cross who we will go meet first for a we walk and get to know each other. We are really excited about this😊. Finally I would say that my experience with dogs is an extensive one, in life, I have bonded with every dog I have come across (annoyingly for some) I have cared for dogs of all sizes and nature and intelligence! As a business my experience is relatively new as I only ever cared for dogs for enjoyment. Now it's my job and life. I'm a natural with dogs and I'm also training daily by taking on K9 college courses expanding my knowledge as much as possible. Most recently I completed the K9 first aid course and am now qualified in this. Next course I plan on will be a practical one also allowing me to work with my dogs and better my abilities. I work 5 day a week from 5am to 9am so that caring for dogs can be my main focus. My work days do vary but the work times are very static. Im currently studying in a K9 college, expanding my knowledge of dogs in all aspects. My course is flexible and fits around my personal daily doggy routine😍. I am very flexible for times that I can care for other peoples fur babies, and as such can dedicate myself to give the best care possible as and when required by you and your family members. At home I have a secure garden at the back with large grass area for the dogs. Pets have free run of the inside of my home. I can however crate if required in both my own home and your home. I am very proud to be Canine first aid trained and have first hand experience of dealing with sick, old, vulnerable and complicated dogs. I am currently studying at a renowned K9 college to better my knowledge of dogs in every aspect I can. Between me and my partner we have four years of K9 epilepsy management where we are able to administer daily medication for dogs, orally or injection. In worst case scenario we both can administer emergency medication as per instruction. We have a loving home with great vibes for all dogs big and small. We live on the outskirts of paisley right on the countryside border line where we are literally a 5 minute walk to miles of open Greenland and umpteen different walks to choose from. We have a child free household which only means your dog gets %💯% attention and love they deserve.

About: Hi I am Frances, anyone that spends five minutes in my company will tell you that I love all animals but especially Dogs, I feel as though they are just beautiful, caring, compassionate, clever and all round awesome beings that we don't deserve. Can't help but smile when in their company, Living their best life every day in the moment. No coincidence that their name is God backwards. I have had 2 dogs of my own in the past who I consider to be my family and am at a loss without my Son at the moment. I babysit for my friends Dogs if they have commitments elsewhere and consider it a privilege to do so. You don't have to own a dog to be my friend, but it helps :). Rest assured your fur babies are spoiled with me and we have fun playing, and chilling in between the adventure walks with lot's of Pink Panther sniffing / investigating to be done as well as special treat sausages from the Local Butchers with your permission of course. I have recently returned from Rwanda and Uganda where I had an amazing experience trekking in the National Forest Park to see the mighty Silverback Gorilla and his family. I have also travelled to Borneo where I volunteered at an Orangutan Sanctuary ( Jungle School - on Netflix ) and have also volunteered with the SSPCA in the past too. It would be an absolute pleasure to look after your furry family member and would be awesome to be their honorary Auntie and included in their pack. I currently work from home Monday and Friday from 8.30 to 3.30 and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8.30 to 4.30. I am therefore able to look after your Fur babies for long weekends Fri to Mon easily fitting in with their own specific schedules. I am hoping to be able to make this a full time job in the future, as it would be a dream come true to be able to care for your pets and be paid to do so?! In an ideal world I would have won the lottery and I would pay you for the privilege of your babies company. I have a private fenced garden that allows security and safety for your pet to be able to go out for fresh air throughout the day in between the bigger walks - minimum of an hour of sniffing if allowed. Your pet will be allowed up on the couch and bed with fluffy blankets for comfort if allowed only, as I would not allow if not the norm for pet. All their requirements will be adhered and catered for, so as not to disrupt their usual routine.

About: Over the years I have had 6 cats, 2 dogs, hamsters, parrots and fish so I have always had a love for animals! I have plenty of experience in caring for them and know what they need. I have had pets who have had ongoing medical needs including regular medicine. I’m the go-to contact for friends and family when they need someone to pet-sit! My partner, Huzaifah, will be helping take care of your pet. He’s an animal lover and has looked after cats, dogs, ferrets, fish, and iguana and a tortoise. I work part time and my partner, who also adores animals, works full time from home so your pet will always have company! We don’t work weekends or bank holidays. We currently have 2 gerbils in a cage in our spacious upper cottage flat with an unfenced garden. The gerbils are elevated so there shouldn’t be any issues, they love the company of other animals!

About: I have had cats from a young age and currently have 2 pedigree house cats. I have been per sitting for several years on Catinaflat and I have looked after dogs of others for many years. I work as a special needs teacher in Renfrewshire Monday to Thursday. I sometimes have tournaments on Saturdays August to April but these are normally local. I am not able to take any dogs or cats into my home as I already have 2 indoor cats. I would come to your home for food visits or walks or both. I can do overnight stays too where I would do a feed before and after bedtime (plus an evening and morning walk for dogs).

About: I’ve grown up with lots of cats and dogs throughout my life. Ranging from rescue animals to crufts contestants and a range of dog sizes. My parents come from a dog training background so I have knowledge that aids with puppy training. I’m a Musical theatre performer but when I I’m in between acting jobs, I live in Glasgow and work in restaurant in the west end. This means that I can be pretty flexible with your needs and your pets! I currently won’t be able to house your pets but hoping my circumstances will change in the future as I’d love to add that to my service.

About: As a long term owner & lover of hounds, I have a deep understanding of their unique needs & sensitivities. I’m home-based & with mine most of the time, so I decided to open my doors to more. I’ve found it can often be challenging to find sitters who truly understand how these beings tick. I’m definitely a hounds over humans kind of person & never tire of spending time around them & getting to learn about their quirks. I specialise in the care of Greyhounds, Whippets, Saluki’s, Italian Greyhound's, Galgos, Deerhounds, lurchers & at the opposite end of the spectrum- little Dachshunds. I have owned a Deerhound in my time, & currently own two Saluki’s & a little sausage. I also have years of experience under my belt with my sister’s rescue Greyhounds, who each came with their own stories & considerations to navigate. My Saluki’s enjoy being around other hounds, though they are well versed in understanding that the final word belongs to the Sausage! (this also applies to the humans in the house…) I work from home & am around for the hounds 24/7. I am incredibly fortunate to have access to a secure dog field each morning, so a typical day involves giving them a free run in the morning & back for chill time. I’m located opposite a park so extra mooches if required are readily available. I’m guilty of going a little overboard to create a calm space for hounds to relax. We have beds everywhere & they are free to roam in & out of the fully fenced garden as & when they please (when dry of course). On good days they’re free to lounge in the sun. For indoor snooze time, snuggle blankets are non-negotiable & relaxing dog music is often played. Ridiculous I know, but they love it! If you require sitting in your own home, I would be keen to learn all about your hounds routine & needs, & will happily follow their rule book.

About: I have experience caring for pets of all sizes – from dogs and cats to guinea pigs! I’ve looked after both energetic puppies and senior dogs, tailoring their care to their individual needs. I'm confident with feeding routines, walks, playtime, and administering basic medications. Your pet will be in safe, loving hands. I currently don't work full-time with flexibility to work from home, and I’m mostly available on weekdays and weekends for daytime care or overnight stays. I live in a secure, pet-friendly flat with a large, fenced garden – perfect for safe outdoor time. I'm also just a 3-minute walk from a lovely big park for walks and play. I'm happy to crate your dog if needed and always make sure they feel comfortable and cared for.

About: I’ve personally trained three puppies (my own and both of my brothers’), so I’m very comfortable with teaching basics, reinforcing good habits, and handling all the energy that comes with young dogs. I’m patient, consistent, and always keep it fun and positive. As a filmmaker and screenwriter, I’m naturally observant and detail-oriented. I notice how each dog communicates and adapt to their personality. I treat every dog like my own, making sure they feel safe, engaged, and understood. I follow your dog’s schedule closely, from feeding to walks to training cues. Whether your pup is energetic, shy, or still learning the ropes, I’m committed to giving them patient care, positive guidance, and plenty of fun. I am a freelance filmmaker & screenwriter, so I can easily adapt to your schedule and can sometimes be free at the last minute. I also need to get away from my desk, and an ideal opportunity is to walk and care for your dog. I provide a secure, calm environment with fenced front and back gardens and plenty of space in my three-bedroom home. I follow each pet’s routine closely, offer constant supervision, and handle even strong dogs confidently. Safety, trust, and comfort are always my priority.

About: I had had animals since I was 11. I had two dogs, both which passed away six years ago and they were the best blessings in the world. I have had another cat many years ago who found us, she was an elderly cat and I like to think we gave her her happy ending....she passed only a few years after we got her but we never forget her and her lovely little quirks. For the last 9 years we have owned a gorgeous deaf cat who was a rescue and a labour of love who has gone from not getting near him and him lashing out on people to bring a playful, affectionate happy cat. I just moved to Scotland from Ireland and miss my cat and so looking to look after some animals to bring me some joy and peace I'm currently looking for fulltime work so as of now I am fully free but my ideal hours would be Monday to Friday as I have some freelance work on weekends. In my own home back in Ireland, my deaf cat required a lot of work...he has to be an indoor cat in case he gets hit by a car. He is allowed in the walled back garden but must be watched in case he gets over the wall, so we would give him watched intervals outside. He has been on diet food since we got him because he is a very big cat and doesn't get as much exercise as an outdoor cat but he is played with lots too to try and keep his fit and active. He has a litter tray which is changed twice per da, and he has free roam of the full downstairs area with 2 large cat towers. In regards to looking after others pets I am happy to adhere to their owners personal preferences and I did so on on the Irish cat sitting site, cat in a flat.

FAQs for House Sitting - Renfrewshire

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Renfrewshire on Rover is £34.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 955 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Renfrewshire. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Renfrewshire walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Renfrewshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
