“Robyn has been amazing from start to finish - she met my friend who was passing her the keys a day early to meet Frankie for a smooth handover. She sent me photos every day and gave him loads of cuddles, and spent a bit of extra time with him when she had spare time one day. Honestly, 10/10 recommend. My friend who passed her the keys also said how lovely Robyn is in person too ♥️ Thank you for everything 🥰”

About: I have been looking after and walking dogs since the age of 12, my family members and friends often rely on me to take their dogs on toilet breaks and walks allowing them to get exercises when the owner is unable to do so. For the past three years I have been dog sitting in owners homes while they are on holiday to ensure as little disruption to the pet as possible. I’m currently working part time, just three nights a week, so I’ll have plenty of free time to play, walk and engage with your puppy I will care for your fur baby, by stepping into their routine with as little disruption as possible. This will be done by getting clear instructions, knowing emergency contacts, pets will feel comfortable in their own home surrounded by comforting items.
“I have used Chloe on multiple occasions now, and will continue to do so. She is great with Bella, and I have no hesitation in booking her for a walk, a drop-in, or a house sit. Bella loves to see Chloe when I can't be around. Chloe is also good at sending updates or asking questions when needed. I will continue to use Chloe whenever she is available for Bella and my cat Rosa.”

“Dylan took great care of my very high energy Cocker Spaniel puppy. It was my first time using the app so I was a little anxious about the whole thing but he was super patient, friendly and accommodating of meeting us beforehand! It's clear that he loves dogs 🐶 Will definitely be booking him again - I'm sure my pup will be delighted! Thanks Dylan ☺️”

About: I run my own established pet-care business, providing professional dog walking and pet sitting services to local clients. Alongside running my business, I have gained experience across a range of animal-care and veterinary settings. My previous experience includes working as an Animal Care Assistant (ACA), caring for animals and supporting their day-to-day welfare, as well as working as a Veterinary Receptionist in both routine and emergency veterinary practices. These roles have given me experience with animals in a variety of situations, including those who may be nervous, unwell or require additional patience and care. I have also volunteered with the Scottish SPCA, where I gained hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs. This included supporting animals with different personalities and needs and helping to provide a safe, comfortable environment while they were in the charity’s care. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Biosciences, giving me a strong academic understanding of animal health, welfare, behaviour and biology. Through my own pet-care business, I regularly care for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments, including walking multiple dogs safely and providing individualised care. I understand how important it is to owners that their pets are treated with the same care, attention and affection they would receive at home. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk, companionship while you’re away, or some extra support and attention, I aim to provide reliable, professional and genuinely caring pet care 🐾 I run my own pet-care business, so I have a flexible schedule and can work around the individual needs of your pets. I am available for walks, drop-in visits and pet sitting, including weekdays and some weekends. My schedule can vary depending on my existing bookings, so I always recommend getting in touch in advance to check availability. I’m happy to discuss specific routines, feeding times, walks and any other requirements your pet may have. I understand that consistency is important for pets, so where possible I aim to provide reliable, regular care and keep to their usual routine while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. Through my own pet-care business, veterinary experience and work with animals, I understand the importance of responsible handling, careful supervision and recognising when a pet may be stressed, unwell or uncomfortable. I always take the time to understand each pet’s individual routine, personality, behaviours and needs before providing care. I follow owners’ instructions carefully and maintain a calm, secure and familiar environment wherever possible. For walks, I take into account the dog’s recall, temperament and surroundings, and I never want a pet to be put in an unnecessary situation of risk. For home visits and sitting, I make sure pets are comfortable, have access to fresh water and are cared for according to their normal routine. I also understand how much trust is involved in allowing someone to care for your pets and enter your home. I treat both your pets and your property with the same respect and care I would expect for my own 🐾

“It was my first time using Rover or this type of service, so I was a bit apprehensive. Demelza did a great job and made us comfortable leaving our babies to her care. She sent daily updates and was very good at communicating with me. I will definitely use her services again.”

About: Having gained a level 2 and 3 in animal care and management, and then a BSc (Hons) in Animal behaviour and welfare, I have worked with various species of animals from cats and dogs to horses, sheep, pigs, bearded dragons, geckos, and multiple aquatic animals of the like. I have been an animal management and care specialist for a HE college, then moved to a veterinary specialist hospital as a technician. I have now turned to human nursing post covid. I currently work as a nurse, from 0830 till 5 pm Monday to Friday, I am free nearly every weekend. I am more than happy to have your furry child over night or to look in on them after work or on weekends. Having an open-plan flat, the rooms are filled with natural light; CCTV will be an option, but daily updates will be included as standard. I will insist on password pickup (you and I agree on a secret password if someone other than the person who drops them off is picking them up). If visiting your home, I will be wearing body-worn CCTV and will text or video chat during my visit to ensure that you are aware that I have attended to your goodest boy/girl.

About: I am a 3rd year Veterinary student looking to make a little money on the side while i’m in university. I have been looking after dogs, cats, horses, chickens, ducks, pet birds, sheep and goats for 15 years. I have taken care of pets with specific medical conditions and other medical needs. I can care for your pets in my parent’s home or your home. I have a very flexible schedule due studying at university and to using Rover as my sole job for the school year. I am available during the week and weekends. As a vet student, I provide attentive, compassionate, and safety-focused care tailored to each pet’s individual needs and routine. In both my home and my clients’ homes, I prioritize maintaining a pet’s normal schedule, including feeding, exercise, playtime, medication administration, and plenty of affection and enrichment. In my veterinary education I have learned how to handle certain pet behavior, training, keeping pets comfortable, safe, and happy while their owners are away. I treat every animal as if they were my own.
About: Hi I am Frances, anyone that spends five minutes in my company will tell you that I love all animals but especially Dogs, I feel as though they are just beautiful, caring, compassionate, clever and all round awesome beings that we don't deserve. Can't help but smile when in their company, Living their best life every day in the moment. No coincidence that their name is God backwards. I have had 2 dogs of my own in the past who I consider to be my family and am at a loss without my Son at the moment. I babysit for my friends Dogs if they have commitments elsewhere and consider it a privilege to do so. You don't have to own a dog to be my friend, but it helps :). Rest assured your fur babies are spoiled with me and we have fun playing, and chilling in between the adventure walks with lot's of Pink Panther sniffing / investigating to be done as well as special treat sausages from the Local Butchers with your permission of course. I have recently returned from Rwanda and Uganda where I had an amazing experience trekking in the National Forest Park to see the mighty Silverback Gorilla and his family. I have also travelled to Borneo where I volunteered at an Orangutan Sanctuary ( Jungle School - on Netflix ) and have also volunteered with the SSPCA in the past too. It would be an absolute pleasure to look after your furry family member and would be awesome to be their honorary Auntie and included in their pack. I currently work from home Monday and Friday from 8.30 to 3.30 and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8.30 to 4.30. I am therefore able to look after your Fur babies for long weekends Fri to Mon easily fitting in with their own specific schedules. I am hoping to be able to make this a full time job in the future, as it would be a dream come true to be able to care for your pets and be paid to do so?! In an ideal world I would have won the lottery and I would pay you for the privilege of your babies company. I have a private fenced garden that allows security and safety for your pet to be able to go out for fresh air throughout the day in between the bigger walks - minimum of an hour of sniffing if allowed. Your pet will be allowed up on the couch and bed with fluffy blankets for comfort if allowed only, as I would not allow if not the norm for pet. All their requirements will be adhered and catered for, so as not to disrupt their usual routine.
About: Hi my name is Andrew and I'm a huge animal lover. I've had pets all my life and I have been dog sitting for over two years. I looked after a litter of seven puppies and have owned one of them for seven years. I have also looked after cats, guinea pigs and reptiles and I always make sure all animals are well fed and watered and the right amount of exercise and cuddles are provided. I'm a good reader of animal body language and I can always tell when something is wrong or they aren't well. This would be the ideal job for me as my love for animals is infinite and I do everything in my power to keep them strong and healthy and have a good happy life. I'm looking for dog walking opportunities near my home where i can take them out and back and make sure they're fed and watered. I'm unemployed atm so I have plenty of time on my hands to take your furty friends out for walks. Plenty of parks and grass near me to take the dogs to and hoping the owners have a similar situation but if not I'm happy to walk to the closest park as i like exercising myself.

“Hayley came in to check on my dogs & feed them and when one wouldn’t go to the loo in the garden she took her out on her lead to ensure she did something, which she didn’t have to do. Would definitely trust her to watch my fur babies again ?”

What an angel! 💕 Not only did she put Bramble at complete ease while looking after him, but kept me so well up to date with how he was that I didn't worry once while I was away. Detailed updates, extra videos outside of the visit cards, and just genuine care for Bramble. Every visit she took time to get to know him, what he was comfortable with and met him with whatever attention he wanted. Bramble is on a specific diet and she stuck to it to a T. 10/10 sitter and I'd happily recommend Erin to anyone ♥️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
