“Jade took wonderful care of Leo and Thomas while we were away. She was attentive, patient, and clearly understands cats and their personalities. We loved receiving updates and could see how relaxed and happy they were with her. It’s not easy to trust someone with your pets, but Jade made it effortless. Highly recommended.”

“We couldn’t have been happier with our experience with Fallon, she was everything we had hoped for in terms of a pet sitter. Fallon is clearly exceptionally experienced with animals and that was clear within minutes of talking with her. She updated us on every visit with a video/picture and a report of how our cat Pepper was doing, and really helped to put our minds at ease on our first holiday away from our pet. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again for our next trip, and would highly recommend her to anyone else in a similar situation.”

“Lisa messaged back very quickly and we organised a couple of drop ins for my cocker spaniel while I was away at work. She was very friendly and professional. It was all done without any hassle, would definitely use again.”

“Robyn has been amazing from start to finish - she met my friend who was passing her the keys a day early to meet Frankie for a smooth handover. She sent me photos every day and gave him loads of cuddles, and spent a bit of extra time with him when she had spare time one day. Honestly, 10/10 recommend. My friend who passed her the keys also said how lovely Robyn is in person too ♥️ Thank you for everything 🥰”

About: I have grown up with dogs - my family often had up to 4 dogs at a time. My parents currently have 3 labs who I take care of when they are away. I work from home 2 days a week - I enjoy going for long walks on weekends and have a car to take them to walks outside Glasgow. I have no pets myself. The dog will have access to the living room/dining room, kitchen and hall. They will be allowed on the sofa in the living room, it is very light and spacious. It is a quiet area with other dog owners in the building.
“Kathryn did a great job looking after our cat for 6 days whilst we were away. Her communication was great, ensured that the cat had some cuddles and sent us some lovely photos that reassured us that he wasn’t missing us too much! We wouldn’t hesitate to have Kathryn come again.”

About: Hello! I'm Aphra, I'm based in the west of Glasgow. I own a scruffy little rescue dog called Sprout and thanks to him I have experience of helping a dog go from anxious of everything to confident and content. I know that trusting your dog with someone new is a big deal so thank you for considering me! For dog walking I am available all day on Wednesdays and weekends, and evenings on the other weekdays. Happy to pet sit in your home, or my own pending positive meetings between our dogs! If you have any questions just let me know! I work full time from home with compressed hours meaning I'm fully free on Wednesdays and weekends. On the other days I work 7-5pm. My partner also works from home so my dogs well cared for if I'm out of the house dog sitting. I work as a data analyst which is fairly relaxed schedule wise, so if pet sitting/boarding I'm available all day for outside breaks and a longer walk at lunch. As long as there's a table I'm happy to work at your home if you prefer, so that your pup has constant company! I take my own dog out for 3 walks a day minimum and would do the same for any dogs in my care, depending on their energy levels and requirements! I have a fully fenced garden so your pup will have plenty of space to relax and play if boarded at our house. My own dog, Sprout, enjoys playing with other dogs but usually spends most of his day snoozing in the sunniest spot he can find. I always keep dogs on leads unless in a secure garden as you just never know how other dogs might react even if yours of friendly. I have my own car and am a very short drive from the vets if any issues arise.

About: I have had dogs and cats my entire life. I am experienced with large dog breeds mostly and happy to assist with training if needed. I currently work from home full time and will be on maternity leave for 12 months from December so will have a flexible schedule to fit many needs I have a fenced garden with artificial grass, stones and paved area. I live near many nature walks and parks which are easily accessible for adventures with pups
“Danielle looked after my puppy who had the best time with her! I loved receiving the many pictures and videos from Danielle playing with my Lola and felt such relief knowing she was in such great hands! Danielle had great communication with me throughout her time caring for my puppy and I was so glad to feel as calm as I did when she was with my pup! Would definitely recommend Danielle to others and will be booking again. Thank you!”

“Dee was brilliant, my cat needs someone who knows when to approach her and when to leaver her be, and Dee was very understanding of that. I came home to a very relaxed cat, and I got updated twice daily with photos as well - Im very happy with the service!!”

About: I’ve always had an affinity with animals, predominantly cats and dogs. Currently have a 3 year old patterdale terrier I’ve trained myself. She’s super sociable and great with anxious dogs. I’m currently working part time from home and have time to look after more animals. Already I am out and about often with my own pup who is quite the adventurer. Happy to spend some time looking after more pets. I will treat your pet as I would my own, they will have space if they want to chill on their own or are more than welcome to hang out together.
About: I have over 40years experience with dogs of all different breeds. I will respect your wishes with regards to feeding, walking, training etc and will treat your pet with the same love and affection as you do while trying to maintain the same routine while they are boarding with me. I live in Bearsden only a 10 minute drive to Mugdock which is a fantastic place to exercise your pet. I also visit various other parks and have a good number of local walks to keep your pet active 🐾🐕 I have successfully passed 2 training courses with the Institute of Modern Dog Training (IMDT).Dog ownership should be fun and enjoyable and I can help you achieve this. I am more than happy to help with any training for any dogs in my care. I have full security clearance (Enhanced Disclosure Scotland) and available for both walks and boarding, I am also happy to look after more than one dog if they are from the same family. If you are looking for someone who is trustworthy and reliable to walk or board your dog please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your requirements. I work Monday to Friday gardening and I take the dogs with me in my van. I have found they enjoy traveling in the van and get exercise in different gardens as well as stops in different parks. All my gardening clients know I look after dogs and are happy to have them in their gardens. I live in a quiet modern estate with a fence back garden. There are numerous local walk for dogs the I frequent throughout their stay.

About: I have had dogs my whole life, of several different breeds, as well as a cat since I was 9. I love all pets so much and generally find they accept me. I have learned how to take care of a puppy, kitten, and my dog once he got older and needed more care. I helped my parents with training our golden retriever puppy, and I have helped out family and neighbours with pee breaks, walks, and some overnight stays. I have university during the week days but can definitely do overnight stays if not too far away, and always can come by in evenings and on weekends. I also know incorporating pets in my life will add so much to my daily life, I’m happy to always work around my schedule. I always make sure to tick off all the things a pet will need, and check in with them (instead of just doing my own thing). I am happy to play, or to cuddle, or to not do anything if needed. I am also good to exercise the pets however much is needed

About: I have had dogs and cats all throughout my life and now I don’t live at home I don’t get to see them as often. I always volunteer to look after family and friend pets whenever needed. I work as part of the admin team at vets now hospital at Charing Cross so see a wide range of dogs and cats all day everyday and it’s the best part of the job. I would love the opportunity to make sure your furry friend has a great mini holiday away from home. During the week I work 8-4 so am generally back by 4:30 so can easily do an afternoon walk, pee break or even watch them for the evening. I can keep them overnight if I’m not working the next day/ away so it just depends on the day for that. Use my calendar as a guage but just send me a message because chances are, I can make it work😁 I have a fenced garden out the back and have a small park a 2 minute walk away, with kelvingrove 10 minutes away. I also have a car so for longer visits I can take them for further, more woodland walks, or even the beach. My sister has done this before (we share a flat) so any pet would be welcome and well loved!

About: I have dog walked, dog and cat sat, and trained throughout my childhood and teenage years, and used that experience last year to work for a local company in my home town to walk and pet sit for pets of all kinds (cats, dogs of all sizes, and even birds). I am currently working from home with flexible hours, so I am able to look after your pets at anytime of the day for any length of time! Unfortunately I am unable to keep pets in my flat due to my tenancy agreement. However, for care in the pet owner’s home I offer long walks, games such as fetch, visits to the dog park, quality one on one time for senior pets and cats, feeding, training, baths, grooming, and even services such as taking out the bins and watering household plants if needed!
“Jessica was amazing with Nala and felt safe reassured while on hoilday with plenty of updates on Nala and I knew she was very well cared for! Would definitely recommend & Book again on my next trip! Thank you!”

About: With my Dad who races pigeons and an Auntie who rescues dogs and used to volunteer with The Dog's Trust, I am one of the lucky ones who has grown up around animals their entire life. We kept budgies and rabbits, a dog and a cat. I had neighbours who asked me to look after their guinea pig, and another who asked me to look after their Yorkshire Terrier, I have wide experience with different animals and on different terms, including overnight stays and daily meal time visits, or just as a companion for a few hours. My boyfriend is always catching me talking to various dogs and our cats when we are out on walks. I'm currently working from home as a freelance photographer which gives me a pretty flexible weekly routine. I live close to a number of parks for walks, but also close to public transport for home visits.I As previously mentioned, I have been entrusted with things like staying overnight to look after a friend's cats, dropping by to check in with pet wellbeing and keeping them company for a few hours and dishing up meal time. Additionally, as someone very fond of nature, dog walks are something I really miss about moving to the city from the Scottish Highlands where I grew up with said cat, dog, rabbits, budgies and pigeons.

Grace and Kaiden were ideal cat-sitters. Came for an initial visit to introduce themselves to Alfie and get to know where he does what in the flat so they knew his routines. Communication throughout the booking was fantastic and I got lots of pictures of a very happy little cat alongside some useful caring info. Will definitely book again next time I'm away, thanks!

Danielle did a fabulous job of looking after my beloved blind cat Humbug. He can be timid with people he doesn’t know but he absolutely loved her and was very happy and confident when I arrived home. Her updates were brilliant and I knew he was in really capable hands. I’d give her 10 stars if I could and would definitely book her again 😊

Jade is an amazing cat sitter. She is hardworking and quick to reply to messages. She provided lots of photos and gave lots of pets to our cat. She can deal with emergencies very well. She noticed that our cat wasn't using his litter tray anymore and also stopped eating and she made sure to stay with him during feeding time to help him eat again and cleaned his mess on our floors. Our cat is happy and safe. We cannot thank Jade enough and will definitely book her again in the future. Thank you again for everything.

Hannah took amazing care of Winston again during a repeat booking. She goes above and beyond, making sure he is entertained and has activities to enjoy throughout the day. We received updates and photos after the visits, which we really appreciated. Thanks again!

Iain is an incredibly kind, thoughtful cat sitter. On our first meeting before the cat sitting he spent quality time with my 3 and 1/2 month old kitten bonding and had a check list of questions to ensure he was well taken care of. Iain sent me pictures and videos on each visit. I would definitely book him again. Thanks again!

Another great experience having Doris as our cat sitter. As previously, Doris gave special care and attention to our cat Lulu, provided us with frequent updates and was highly communicative and friendly throughout her stay. Our home was kept clean and tidy and we returned to a very well looked after cat. Thank you Doris!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements.
