“Serge had a great time with Robert. Lots of long walks in the fresh air left him snoring at night! 3 days in a row was a big ask but Robert made it easy and Serge was wagging his tail and didn’t even look back by the 2nd day. Whether he was relaxing or out having fun Robert kept us up to date with some lovely photos of Serge. He took great care of Serge and we would highly recommend his services. Happy to use him again.”

“Amy was incredibly caring and we felt really safe leaving Arwen with her. She made sure to understand Arwen's habits thoroughly. She updated us with multiples pictures during the day. She truly went above and beyond for our pup. Moreover, she's very friendly and nice! We would definitely book her again 😀”

“Caragh and Callum were the best sitters for my rescue greyhound! They're both so lovely and take the best care of Dappy. They're trustworthy and it's clear how much effort and care they put into dogsitting. I have no reservations about re-booking with them and it's clear that they prioritise safety and comfort for my dog.”

“Abby and Corey were great with Willow. I appreciated their flexibility after having a disastrous start to the morning! Communication was excellent before and during the booking. Willow was reluctant to go in initially as she hadn’t met them before but I got lots of pics during the day which reassured me that she had clearly settled in and was being her usual playful self. She was happy and content when I went to pick her up so I knew she had had a good day. Abby and Corey are a lovely couple and I would definitely book with them again.”

“Lexie loved her stay with Soojin, she actually sulked when she got home to her boring parents! Soojin went above and beyond though, and even dropped Lexie off afterwards as we couldn't collect her. 100% recommend 👍”

“Holly was fantastic with Marvel! She took him on a lovely walk, provided photos, and made sure he was well looked after throughout his stay. When I arrived to pick him up, he was happily snoozing on the sofa so a clear sign he’d had a great time and felt right at home.”

“Saff had the best time at Natalie's again Natalie kept us up to date throughout the day and I don't think Saff wanted to leave when I came to collect her! Would highly recommend 😊”

About: I've been surrounded by dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, and caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. Growing up, we always had dogs at home, and I helped raise them from puppies—looking after them, training them, taking them on walks, and making sure they were happy, healthy, and loved. We also spent a lot of time in the countryside, where being around dogs became a natural part of everyday life. Since moving to Scotland, I've continued caring for the dogs and pets of my friends and family whenever they've needed help. I genuinely love spending time with animals and treat every dog as if they were my own. Unfortunately, because of previous travel commitments, I wasn't able to have a dog of my own. I live in a fantastic area surrounded by parks, green spaces, and the Clyde Canal, so there are plenty of beautiful places for walks and adventures. I also have a secure garden where dogs can safely play and relax. I understand that trusting someone with your beloved dog is a big decision. I will always care for your dog with patience, kindness, and genuine love, making sure they feel safe, happy, and well looked after while they're with me. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply relaxing by someone's side, I'll make sure they have the best possible experience. I currently work remotely from home, which means I have a flexible schedule and can provide your dog with plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. I'm available during weekdays, weekends, and evenings, so your dog will rarely be left alone and will always have someone nearby to look after them. I live in a peaceful cottage flat in a wonderful area surrounded by parks, green spaces, and the Clyde Canal, providing the perfect setting for daily walks, exercise, and new adventures. I also have a secure, enclosed garden where dogs can safely play, explore, or simply relax. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your beloved pet. I will always care for your dog with patience, kindness, and genuine affection, following their usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable, safe, and at home. My goal is to give every dog a happy, stress-free experience while providing you with complete peace of mind. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my highest priorities. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, so I will care for them with the same patience, kindness, and attention that I would give my own. I take the time to understand each dog's routine, personality, and individual needs, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions, so they can feel as settled and comfortable as possible. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply relaxing in a quiet space, I'll make sure they receive the care and attention that's right for them. My home is a calm, safe, and dog-friendly environment with a secure enclosed garden for supervised play, and I'm surrounded by parks, green spaces, and the Clyde Canal for enjoyable daily walks. Dogs are never left unattended in the garden, and I'll always ensure they are secure and comfortable both indoors and outdoors. I'll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, safe, and being well looked after while you're away.
“Caitlin was quick to reply and was kind enough to look after Ozzy with less than 12 hours notice. She was lovely upon first meeting and made sure to send photos of Ozzy and keep me posted on how my puppy was doing. :)”

“This was the first time Winnie spent the day with Lisa. Lisa was excellent with Winnie, sent photos during the day, had big long walks with Winnie. Winnie enjoyed her day with Lisa and is already looking forward to the next time:)”

“Victor was so very friendly and attentive, Ruso was very settled with him, loved his long walks and was very content on picking him up.. Updates from Victor of how he was doing was great and set our minds to rest. Wouldn’t think twice about booking again. Thank you Victor”

“In simple terms, Tracey (with her lovely family) saved our skins when we were in need of the right person to look after our Roscoe for much of the day. For all it was last minute, it felt like we we SO lucky to find Tracey available. Roscoe enjoyed every comfort he would have at home, and regular updates with film and pictures was all we needed to feel reassured. When we picked him up in the evening, it was a delight to see how happy he was - evidence of a day of joy for him. Couldn't recommend Tracey highly enough. We'll be thrilled to visit again with Roscoe.”

About: I’m currently working in Glasgow and have a flexible schedule I lived with a dog for two years during university, where I trained and cared for them from a young puppy. As an athlete, I love staying active and enjoy bringing dogs along with me to keep them healthy and happy. Regular exercise is essential for their wellbeing, and I understand the importance of letting dogs free-roam in safe areas to explore, sniff, and connect with nature. I’m always eager to help care for dogs and take every opportunity to walk my friends’ pets big or small, from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. I also have experience administering medication to senior dogs, ensuring their specific needs are met. I’m currently doing a 9–5 internship during the week, but I always make time to stay active with dog walks and playtime! It’s the perfect way to unwind, stay fit, and spend quality time with animals. I live near Partick, which is a perfect area for walks and playtime. I’ve got everything ready to make your dog comfortable, including toys, blankets, and treats suitable for all sizes and needs. I’m very mindful of keeping anything hazardous or unsafe out of reach, especially for dogs with allergies. I understand the importance of ensuring they only eat food that’s safe for them, even when they’re feeling hungry or curious.

Holly is a fantastic sitter and our little dog felt immediately comfortable with her and Emmet during the meet and greet in the park, and in their home. Holly was very understanding and accommodating to our dog’s toilet and mobility needs as an older gentleman. He was visibly happy and comfortable each day when we came to collect him. The fact that he ate twice each day while there says everything about how happy he was to be with them! Their home was very clean, tidy and comfortable and Madog settled in straight away. Holly maintained communication with us, sending us updates and replying quickly. Holly was very understanding and flexible towards our changing drop off and collection times as we were visiting Glasgow. There was always parking available on the street which made things very easy. Holly and Emmet are two of the loveliest people you will meet. We miss them already! I have no hesitation in giving them a five star review.

Deryn and her partner were fantastic with Tess. They looked after her for the day and made her feel completely at home. We picked up a happy, relaxed dog, which says everything. They were friendly, caring and clearly love dogs. We’d have no hesitation in leaving Tess with them again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and reliable dog sitters. Thanks guys!

Andrea is our new best doggie carer ... Alf and Daisy really do not like being away from Chris and I. And are normally really stressed about it But Andrea kept them calm and gave them time to settle, and they were really well cared for. Loads of photos to keep us posted on them, and extremely flexible when we had some last minute change of plans.... We are very happy to have found someone who cared for Alf and Daisy the same way we care for them.....
Amy and her partner were fantastic with Tess and took such great care of her. Tess was really happy and settled with her, and it was clear she’d been well looked after and had a great time. Amy was friendly, reliable and kept us updated throughout. We’d have no hesitation in booking her again and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring and trustworthy to look after their dog. Thanks again 😊

Soojin was brilliant! She made Oslo's days exciting and fun packed. She kept us updated with photos of the long walks and how he was doing. Oslo came back very happy and content. On the next visit he pulled me all the way to her door! Thank you for giving Oslo a great experience.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
