“Natalie has treated our wee dog like he was her own. He is so terribly anxious, and Natalie totally understood this and based on the photos he clearly calmed and felt very comfortable and happy with her. Would absolutely definitely book Natalie again and would have no hesitation in recommending her to others. Thank you so much Natalie”

“Nune did a wonderful job looking after our 7 month old puppy Goose. Nune send lots of photos, updates and provided a clear post-sitting report which was really helpful. Nune also had a wide selection of toys to keep Goose stimulated throughout the day and he came back a tired doggo. Would definitely recommend and will book again if Nune is available.”

“Amy is so lovely, I couldn’t recommend her enough to look after your dog. Flossie is always a very happy (and tired) boy after his visits. Lots of photos/ videos/ communication from Amy too. 10/10!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. Neighbours, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets. I have experience with energetic puppies, gentle seniors, and everything in between. I treat every dog as if they were my own, with love, patience, and lots of playtime! As a master’s student at the University of Stirling who works from home, I have a flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home—perfect for keeping your pet company! I don’t have any pets of my own, so your dog will get all my attention! I live in a quiet, pet-friendly home right by a beautiful canal walk—perfect for daily adventures. Since I work from home, I can provide consistent supervision and follow your dog’s routine closely.
“Gemma was an absolute lifesaver! She took care of our mini dachshund, Figgy, at very short notice, and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything went. From the moment we spoke, I could tell she genuinely cared about animals, and Figgy instantly felt comfortable around her. Throughout his stay, she kept us updated with regular photos and messages, which gave us such peace of mind. When he was picked up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. I highly recommend Gemma to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive dog sitter!”

“Ann is a really kind and caring sitter and Willow seems very happy in her care. We can see in the videos Ann sent that Willow is happily running around Ann’s flat just like she does at home. Ann sends lots of updates through the day which is very reassuring, and is kind enough to come down to collect and drop Willow back off.”

“Mairi and her dad looked after Zelda whilst I was at work and I couldn’t fault them. They answered any questions I had, were both very lovely people and sent photo and text updates throughout the day. Would happily book again with them :)”

“Soojin gave wonderful doggy day care to our 11 week old West Highland Terrier puppy. She has a lovely calm nature and experienced in caring for dogs. We have already re-booked her and are very much hoping Soojin will be a regular sitter for our wee treasure Daisy Duke.”

About: Hello! My name is Joey, I am a first year veterinary student at the university of Glasgow. I moved here from California where I worked as a veterinary nurse in the emergency room for 7 years. I value each and every one of your pets as if they were my own! Safety is a high priority for me, but also fun and exercise is incredibly important for your pets wellbeing. I am eager to meet your fur family member! I am currently a student and my schedule is flexible, send a message and we can chat about what times will work best for you and your pet. I will treat every pet as if they were my own, I understand how important this is. I will use low stress techniques, and offer a fear free environment. Some pets are stressed when a stranger is in the home or taking them for walks, I’m sure I can manage to reduce that stress as much as possible. I am well trained in CPR, medication administration, and general husbandry of small animals.

About: Golden Family Dog Sitting Hey, guys, my name is Julie, and my partner Chris and I currently have three stunning Golden retriever babies who are our absolute world. I have been fostering for Irish Retriever Rescue for the last 3 years as well as doggy sitting for close friends and family. I made the decision to officially do what I love and that's looking after fur babies of all kind 🥰 full time. I offer boarding and when looking after your fur baby they will not be left alone throughout there stay and will have the adventures that they will just keep yapping about after you come and collect them🤭. We are looking to offer that home away from home experience for your pups holiday with us. Our three love to meet new friends and have playtime all the time. We have experience with all types of dogs from fostering and puppy sitting and our three themselves. We make sure that all dogs daily are comfortable providing them with 2 walks a day and a visit to our local dog field to get all the zoomies out. We will take instructions from yourself on feeding and treats, all dogs have free roam of the house and Garden, but again we like to make sure everyone is safe so always make sure that at least one of us is present with the dogs at all times. We like to always do an introduction with our dogs first before the holiday just to make sure everyone is introduced and there's no issues while doing this we always love to get more information and stories about your pup to make sure we provide the best experience when they come. In case of any emergencies or injuries we always have a pet first aid box on hand and our vets is only 10 minutes away if necessary but thankfully have never had any issues to require the vet. Also have experience with excitable dogs, nervous dogs and have small experience with resource guarding that was corrected by ourselves. Normal daily routine for ourselves is garden toilet time while breakfast is being prepared, once we full belly's and a little time to digest its times for our morning walk which is usually around 45 minutes to an hour, after returning from our morning walk it's fun time play time during the week I myself am at home with all dogs and make sure to have playtime with toys and out in our spacious garden which is fully fenced and secure. Around 5pm we proceed to have dinner time in which I make sure to feed all dogs and usually once Chris returns home at 6 we take all dogs out to the Run free dog fields for an hour we tend to fetch or if we are feeling energetic we like to run round with the dogs with a little game of tag lol once our time is up we normally try and settle down for the evening all dogs have the freedom of the house so where ever they feel comfortable they can choose to relax for the evening but we do make sure to have regular garden breaks until it is time for our night time walk which is normally around 10pm again for around 45 minutes. Once that is complete it's time for our beds we have a number of dog beds throughout the house and also dogs have the option to sleep where they are most comfortable. Weekends tend to be slightly different as we tend to go on adventures whether to the beach a first walk or hike to give the dogs a great adventure to enjoy. If you have any questions, feel free to message me ☺️ I will doing this as my full time job offering all dogs in my care my 100% attention making sure all dogs are safe and given the best care possible I have a fully fenced garden which wrap rounds the house giving the dogs amble space to run and have when we are home. I have 2 friendly golden retrievers who are more than welcoming to all dogs and are experienced in dealing with many personalities with us fostering for the last 3 years. We make sure to always offer a safe environment for dogs and a home away from home giving them walks adventure and fun at our local dog field which is fully secure so everyone is able to burn off plenty of energy and run to there’s heart content. All dogs have free rain of the home and someone with them 24/7.

“Holly was fantastic with Marvel! She took him on a lovely walk, provided photos, and made sure he was well looked after throughout his stay. When I arrived to pick him up, he was happily snoozing on the sofa so a clear sign he’d had a great time and felt right at home.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have always been very comfortable caring for different breeds and personalities. My partner and I have experience looking after family dogs and pets for others, particularly greyhounds, poodle mixes, chihuahuas, and terriers. I’m confident with walks, feeding routines, playtime, and making sure dogs feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while in my company. My partner and I mainly work from home, we go for morning, lunch time and evening walks that a dog can perfectly fit into. One of us will always be home with the dog. We have a basement flat with direct access to a private garden with plenty of grass that is completely walled off and has a locked gate at all times. Our garden is well maintained and clean. There are no other dogs in the block that would disturb your dog if they are nervous around other animals.

“Had a great experience with Lisa from start to finish. She replied to messages promptly and was very happy to accomodate our needs and those of our dog. We left our dog for Doggy Day Care and had a warm welcome at the door. Lisa kept us updated throughout the day with pictures and messages and gave our dog a nice walk. I'd thoroughly recommend Lisa - we would definitely book her again in the future. Thanks, Lisa!”

Cailtin took excellent care of our dog Jake. Caitlin was super accommodating at short notice with doggy day care and very responsive when organising pick up and drop offs. She’s got a great way with dogs and you can see she genuinely loves taking care of them. Jake was well taken care of and we received a photo update during his stay.

Olivia was great with our 5 month pup. We provided her with food, toys and few other stuff to keep help our pup settle for few hours. She provided the meal we brought for our pup timely and also took him to walk to get some fresh air that our dog thoroughly enjoyed so i know who to reach next time.

Torr absolutely loved his days with Daniela! From the first visit, he was comfortable and happy in her care. Daniela’s home is calm and welcoming, and it’s clear she has a real way with dogs. She kept me updated with lovely photos and messages, and Torr always came home relaxed and content — the best sign of a great day. It’s reassuring to know he’s so well looked after and enjoys his time there. Thank you, Daniela, for taking such good care of him. I’d highly recommend you to anyone looking for kind, reliable, and genuine day care for their dog! 🐾

Once again Caoimhe was fantastic looking after coco, today. Had a day out planned and really enjoyed it knowing coco was in good hands. Even got treated to a pupil cup by Caoimhe. Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
