“Jessica looked after our 14 week old pup and kept us updated on his day. He had so much fun with Jessica and her husband. Put myself and my partner at ease as it was our first time letting someone mind our baby. We will be booking again in the future for sure”

“Michele was excellent with Podrick, and totally welcomed his spicy play personality. Podrick came home happy and tired, slept like a rock! I would definitely trust Michele with our pup again in the future.”

About: I've helped walk people's dogs since I was teenager from neighbours to family friends. I have expernce walking smaller dogs like Bichon Frisé and French bulldogs as well as bigger more high energy dogs like labradors and collies. I am patient and understand dog body language well, I know that every dog is diffrent and will always listen to the owner about what they need. I have experence pet sitting gerbils and currently have two guinea pigs. I am confident handeling small animals and can pet sit smaller animals as well. I am a student in Glasgow I commute in. This means I'm happy to house sit for people outside my area so long as I can get a bus or train into Glasgow from your house. I am in uni Tuesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday morning so cant do drop ins or walks at those times. When looking after animals in the owners home I will make sure to follow all instructions given and do whatever I can to make the animal feel comfortable. I appreciate all animals are diffrent and some may like sticking to a routine and may be nervous when their owner is away while others enjoy the change of routine. I am able to look after animals in my home however I have a pet guinea pig therfore I can't look after your dog if they have a high prey drive. I am happy to do meet ups before hand if youre unsure about this. I know that it is impossible to know everything about animals so I will always take the lead from you and follow any instructions given. It is always best to do things the dog is familiar with so I will use any equitment and/ or traning methods you prefer. I would always prefer to meet you and the animal before booking to discuss things more in person and ensure me and the animal get along.
“Teddy had such a great day with Pam! He went willingly with her (which isn’t always the case with him and new people!) and had lots of lovely walks and cuddles whilst we were out for the day. Thanks so much Pam, we’ll definitely be in touch in the future if we’re back up in Scotland!”

“Zoe is wonderful, a natural dog whisperer! Sabi Star is gaining so much confidence and, she just loves her visits with Zoe and Dylan, and of course Lewis! Thanks so much, Zoe!!! So happy!”

“Gruia had a great time at Craig's, and even made another puppy friend!! Although the introduction was a bit grumpy, Craig's patience and confidence resulted in (long) joint walks where they looked like they had been friends for ages! Definitely recommend, and Gruia will absolutely become a repeat customer!”

Jenny is very reliable & good at keeping in regular contact which is always very reassuring.”

About: Hi I’m Lisa. I’m currently working from home full time and live in Falkirk. I am fun loving and able to provide care and responsibility to furry friends. I’ve loved dogs all my life and am very approachable so dogs are felt at ease with me. I have a fenced off backgarden and am local to parks to enjoy regular walks. I have looked after dogs, big and small, over the course of the last few years - including overnight stays and day visits. I am able to host dogs of any size and my flat can accommodate all kinds of dogs. My goal is to make sure your dog enjoys their stay away from home and is as comfortable as possible. I work full time from home so I’m available to board dogs weekdays and weekends. Offering day care or longer stays. I can accommodate for all types of dog breeds. I have a closed garden and parks in the neighbourhood that are friendly for your fur baby to play in. My flat is spacious for your pup to make itself at home.
About: I cared for our beloved Westie, Marley, for 15 wonderful years—he was family, and taught me everything about patience, loyalty, and the quiet language of dogs. Since then, I’ve continued looking after family dogs of all shapes and sizes, from playful pups to gentle seniors. I offer a calm, comforting environment where dogs are treated with the same love and respect I gave Marley. Whether your dog needs extra cuddles, slow walks, or just a peaceful place to rest, I’m here to provide thoughtful, reliable care. My days are centred around care and companionship, so pet sitting fits naturally into my routine. I work from home and run a community hub next to my home, which means I’m always nearby and able to give dogs the attention they deserve—whether it’s regular walks, playtime, or simply being present. I keep a steady schedule with plenty of flexibility, so your pet’s needs can be met with ease and consistency. Safety and trust are at the heart of how I care for pets. In my home, dogs have a calm, secure space to relax, with access to a fully enclosed garden for fresh air and gentle play. I keep routines consistent and always follow the owner's guidance—whether it’s diet, medication, or preferred walking routes. I never leave pets unattended and make sure they feel safe, seen, and soothed. If I’m in your home, I treat it with the same respect I give my own, keeping things tidy and peaceful so your pet stays settled and happy.

Connor was an excellent doggy day care provider for our two chocolates labradors. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to others and would happily use his services again if I was returning to Falkirk. Connor was flexible and friendly and his dog Evie was a great friend to our two girls.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
