Michele was just wonderful with our two boys. From the start to the finish I had full confidence in her professionalism and dedication to the well-being of dogs and that her care would be excellent. She puts real thought into every aspect of boarding pets. Also, her warmth and the regular pictures and status updates confirmed that our pups were not only in good care, but also loved! Highly recommend.

Our first time using the service and Craig surpassed expectations massively. Felt at ease from the first message and at the drop off. Our boy was treated so well and we were kept up to date at all times through WhatsApp. Long walks everyday and he clearly felt very comfortable in there home. Cannot recommend Craig highly enough and it’ll be our first option for any dog sitting needs in the future. Very grateful to them both.

About: I’ve been a dog owner for the past ten years. I have a 10 year old Beagle and a 9 year old Cavachon. Any dogs who come to stay must get on well with my dogs and my two primary school aged children. I’m off work Friday to Monday so I’m in an ideal position to dog sit for weekend breaks but I am more than willing to look after your dog during the week too as long as they can be left for a few hours. I will do my best to follow your pets normal routine and provide a fun, safe space for them to stay. I work part time so I have plenty of time for dog walking and company. I live in an area surrounded by fields and fun places to walk. I have a fully enclosed garden. My dogs are allowed on the furniture so the more the merrier, however, I will always follow your rules. I want to create an environment that you can enjoy a break away knowing your dog is also enjoying a holiday. Both my dogs are on tablets daily so I have experience in administering those. I’ve had my dogs since puppies so I have experience from puppy to seniors.

Hana was recovering from acute stomach inflammation and needed to take special meals and medication when she was sent in to Pam's. Pam was incredibly reliable and responsible in making special meals for Hana and feeding all kinds of tablets. She sent me photos everyday and Hana always looked very happy with her friends. Can't be more satisfactory and will definitely bring Hana in again.

Leigha (along with her husband Jacob, daughter Rosie, and their lovely pack of hounds) took incredible care of my two Kelpies, Cúci (7 years) and Ruadh (10 months), during a 48-hour stay this week. From the moment we arrived, it was clear they were in a calm, experienced, and dog-loving home. Leigha kept me updated with thoughtful messages, videos and photos, which really reassured me, especially since Ruadh is still a pup and full of energy. Both dogs came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for - the younger one especially seemed to benefit from the social time with their dogs. They even shared some super helpful tips on behaviours they’d noticed in my rescue puppy, which I’ve already started putting into practice. Their setup - both the house and garden - is exceptional, offering plenty of space, safety, stimulation, and comfort. I only wish I lived nearby so I could use them every time I go away! It’s obvious this is a family who genuinely love animals and know how to manage different personalities and needs. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again - thank you so much, Leigha and family!

Bear loved his stay with Zena. We had the chance to meet before his stay and Zena sent regular photos of Bear enjoying himself out walking/at the beach/cooling off in a paddling pool/resting on his bed in her house. Zena really gave me the confidence that Bear was in good hands so we could relax and enjoy our holidays. I would definitely use her again.

About: I have had dogs in my household from a young age. Since the passing of Foster, my beloved old collie in August 25 I have missed being a doggy parent and have a lot of love to give to the much loved furry member of your family. I have experience in dogs large and small, young and old. Initially I will be offering weekend boarding. Once you, your pet and I are happy and trust each other then longer bookings may be possible. I have a medium sized, fenced garden, so plenty of space to stretch legs and get fresh air. No shortage of walking areas on my door step

About: I look after all kinds of breeds, from puppies to senior dogs. I have experience of having my own family dogs growing up and continue to look after friends and family dogs. A meet and greet before boarding is preferred but not mandatory. I do hybrid working so I would need to leave the dog in the house for minimum of two days during the week. Other than that I am flexible. I have a closed garden and to few parks in the neighbourhood for longer walks. My flat is spacious for your dog to make itself at home during its stay.

About: I grew up with dogs and have had multiple dogs throughout my life so feel comfortable taking care of different types of dogs with different personalities and needs, both puppies and older dogs. At the moment I don’t have a dog of my own so I enjoy helping out with others’! I work as a personal assistant, mainly from home, with 1-2 days per week in the office. I therefore have lots of time to look after and walk dogs both during week days and weekends and can cater for longer stays as well. My flat is tidy and pet friendly and has sufficient space for playing with dogs. I have several parks immediately on my doorstep that are great for walks.

FAQs for Dog Boarding - Falkirk

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Falkirk on Rover is £34.27 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,580 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Falkirk. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
