“Harris & María were very welcoming to our dog and cared for her just like their own. When I collected Kip, she had obviously enjoyed her stay with Molly, and the 2 dogs had got along well - thank you all!”

“Cooper our full on, 11 month old Viszla, has just had his 2nd stay with Barry. Im sure Coops had the best time with Barry and Hilary, think they will enjoy the peace without him now though! We wouldn't leave him with anyone else. Its all about the dogs with Barry.”

“Another great stay with Ali and the gang. Our boy Blue used to be really anxious being left with anyone other than family. Now he's so happy to go to Ali's, even mentioning her name he gets so excited. This time it was just a 1 night / 2 day stay, along with his new little brother Cooper. This was coopers first time away from home without us. We were keen to hear how he was getting on. Ali kept us updated with plenty of videos and pictures and we are happy to say that he got on great! You could tell her was loving every moment, especially having some new friends to play with. We are so lucky to have found the right home away home ❤️”

“Hope and her husband welcomed my puppy into their home and treated her like one of their own. They provided me with updates via messages and pictures. I’m sure my Nala was sad to leave when I came to collect her. I wouldn’t hesitate to use again and would highly recommend using their services if they’re available.”

“Such a fantastic doggy sitter. Mutton was super happy at Paulina's house and was really well looked after. Paulina had a lovely set up pf toys, treats and water bowl for Mutton. A home away from home. 10/10!! We'll definitely book again.”

About: I have looked after / owned dogs for almost 20 years. We lost our beloved dog Holly just over two years ago after rehoming her as a young dog and we really miss time with her and walking. However, due to having two small children, owning another dog at this time is not possible. I have helped friends over the last two years and have also been contacted through them by other people to look after their dogs for holidays. I can help out Monday and Fridays during the day and weekends/holidays also. I currently have two fairly regular dogs that I look after and this is working really well for us. Please get in touch and we can see if we're able to help out with walks/holidays/overnights. I work part time (Tues/wed/thurs) so am available the other 4 days to help with walks/sitting/boarding. If I have a dog in then I am home mostly. Dog wouldn’t be left for long periods just for school drop off etc. I have a large enclosed back garden and live near a large park which is great for dogs. Also happy to take dogs in the car for trips / walks further afield. Dogs are allowed on the sofa and upstairs. Generally not on the bed during the night.
“I honestly could not recommend Lenka and her family as sitters highly enough. Our little jack russell had the best time and came home so happy. Lenka constantly kept my husband and I updated with loads of photos and videos of Babsie out walking and playing with their little dog Ollie. I’m very protective of our dog and I genuinely cannot see us leaving Babsie with anyone else in the future. 5***** dog sitters. Thank you so much 🐾❤️”

About: We have a well cared for Cockapoo of 3 years and we think he's the best! I have had dogs since I was a child and it was important that my own child also had one to love and look after. We are now at the stage of wanting to look after other cute wee fluffballs - my daughters words LOL. We have a strong routine of dog walking and doggy care and would be happy to fit another dog into it. I have all of the school holidays off, so I'm always around during the day to walk, play and care for dogs. For the rest of the year, I work part-time and my husband works from home so there is always someone in the house. We usually walk our dog first thing in the morning, then again for a 'ball throw' mid-morning, another longer walk at the nearby country park mid-afternoon and a couple of smaller evening walks round the neighbourhood. Our dog always likes an indoor play in the evenings so we make sure we get down on the floor with him and his toys. Our medium sized fenced back garden is ideal for a morning run or to relax in the sun. We have green spaces to the back and right hand side of our garden so it's peaceful and both areas can be used for shorter walks. There is a dog next door and a couple a few doors down but there has never been any issues. Our dog isn't crated, he has the free run of the living room with throws over the couches. However, we'd be happy to crate your dog if requested. We don't allow our dog in the bedrooms, but he has free reign elsewhere. We have experience of caring for my parents elderly dog, Eddie. He was a huge part of my life from a puppy and so when they weren't able to look after him we took him in full time until he was sadly gone.
“Our anxious wee man stayed with Nicola & Kayleigh for over a week whilst we were on holiday. He’s been to them before but never for as long, he has had the best time & it’s so clear he has been incredibly well looked after. Nicola sent us lots of updates of his adventures, we are so grateful to have found such genuinely caring & trustworthy people to look after Max. We wouldn’t leave him anywhere else. He is always so excited to go & looks so content when we come back for him. Thanks so much again!”

About: I can't wait to have a dog of my own one day, but until then I'm excited to spend my spare time looking after yours! I grew up with both cats and dogs and love looking after my parents' Vizsla, who's wonderfully high-energy and very demanding. I'm confident handling dogs of all sizes, on and off lead, and I'm always happy to tailor walks, playtime and mental stimulation to whatever your dog or cat enjoys most. Just tell me their favourite games and routines! I live alone in a first-floor flat in a semi-rural location near Linlithgow, with immediate access to communal grounds, countryside paths and a short drive to Beecraigs County Park and the coastal routes around Blackness. Doggy walking and exercise will not be a problem! I'm equally very content to look after snooze buddies, and your cat or dog is welcome to make themselves completely at home here - sofa snuggles very much encouraged. I work from home two days per week and can offer flexible overnight boarding, dog walking, pick-ups/drop-offs and in-home pet sitting around West Lothian and Edinburgh. I can't wait to meet your furry friends! I'm pretty flexible and can offer boarding & day time stays in my flat for both cats and dogs. Happy to pick-up/drop-off in the car depending on location and can offer dog walking too. I often have availability on weekends and evenings, and I'm between West Lothian (where I live) and Edinburgh (for work) and can accommodate sitting in both areas. I will follow your instruction so please let me know exactly what you'd like for your pet. I'm new to Rover so I don't have equipment (e.g. crate or bed) but can get hold of this if needed - or please bring with you. I have access to communal outdoor space where I would keep dogs on leads for safety, but can let them off lead not far from where I live if they need a run!

About: I have been around/taken care of pets (both cats and dogs) majority of my life. I have trained 3 dogs myself as house pets from their puppy stages, 2 of which are dachshunds we currently have, although one now stays with my husbands parents 10 minutes up the road. I am currently in-between employment, leaving a full work from home position, therefor I am home nearly 24/7 at the moment and would be able to give pets constant care and watch. I will be leaving the house roughly 2-3 times a week in the morning to attend the gym and here and there for shop runs etc, so dogs would be left at home with my pet also for roughly 1 hour or so at a time. I live in a home with a fenced garden that my own pets get to roam around freely. Pets are allowed in any room of the house and on the couch. Come nighttime, our pets have their own room they sleep in, however more often than not they choose to sleep on the couch downstairs so your pet would not be sleeping alone. However, if preferred I am happy to crate your pets if this is what they are more comfortable with.
“Shannon and her partner were amazing! Cosmo had such a lovely time with them. Shannon sent a few pics over the stay which was great. Thank you so much again. Can’t wait to book with them again”

“Daniela agreed to look after Jed at short notice. Despite having never met her, Jed warmed to Daniela almost right away. It was obvious from the regular photo updates that Jed was having a great time with lots of cuddles.”

“After my previous dog boarder moved away, I was quite anxious about finding someone new, especially since my dog is on the nervous side and sometimes takes a while to settle. Thankfully, I found Madeline—and what an absolute gem she is! From the moment we arrived for the trial night, Madeline and her lovely family made my dog feel right at home. Madeline sent photos of my dog happily playing with her children and sitting at the feet of her husband, which really put my mind at ease. When I picked him up, he was thrilled to see me but couldn’t wait to dash back into Madeline’s garden, tail wagging and looking completely at ease. It’s clear he felt safe, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyed himself. My dog is going back to Madeline in a few weeks for a three week stay and I have complete confidence that he will enjoy his time with her. If you’re a pet owner searching for a boarder who will treat your dog like family, I can’t recommend Madeline highly enough.”

“We met Kassandra and her very well behaved German Shepherd a few days before Buster was due to stay with Kassandra, to make sure he got along well with her dog. She asked a lot of questions to make sure she could look after Buster as well as possible, and answered all our questions very satisfactorily. I was also very impressed by how well Buster took to her when we met, as he is often quite wary of new people. So I was very comfortable to leave Buster with her for a few nights. She kept us updated about all his walks and how he was eating (he can sometimes go off his food a bit in new places), and even sent us some very nice pictures of him enjoying himself with his new friends Keira and Mr Poe (his first cat!). When I went to pick Buster up, he was clearly very happy. Overall I was very pleased with how Kassandra looked after my dog, and she will definitely be my first call if I need Buster looked after again in future.”

About: I had dog, Toy poodle at home for 15 years andI had experience of hamsters, rabbits and turtle also. I love animals. And I recently also got my 4months old Kitten. We need to discuss for this. I am part-time. I normally free on Thursday and Friday. If it’s small pet, that I can keep just indoors, easy for discussion. Dogs as they need time and space also potty time, may need discuss. My home have a 4 months old kitten at the moment. If small animals is still not a matter. As we have a specific room for them. I also love it to be tidy and clean. Either my home or your home, I want them to enjoy a comfortable space.
“Hamish had a lovely holiday with Diane. He was well looked after and treated as part of the family. We were kept updated with photos and messages. I’m not sure if he wanted to come home with us but I’m sure he would love to go back next time we go away.”

About: Having grown up with Dogs I know what a huge part of family life they are & it is important that they are treated like part of the family too. Our little girl Lottie means the world to us and has us wrapped around her little paw! As customers of Rover for a few years we truly value the service provided and now want to offer a loving ‘home from home’ for your pet too. My husband Ken & I are early retirees, very active and have plenty of time to dedicate to your beloved pooch, providing lots of walks & cuddles too. We are really lucky to have some wonderful walking spots locally & we occasionally take a trip to the beach, which our girl loves. Happy to work around your pets needs, as we appreciate one size doesn’t fit all! Having taken early retirement we have plenty of time to spend with your pet. We have a good routine for Lottie & would be happy for her to have a friend join us in our home & on our walks. We have a house with a fenced garden & our pets have access to all rooms, although occasionally we shut the stair gate between the kitchen & utility room to give our cats some space. The dogs sleep in the Living Room either in their own bed or on one of the chairs/couches and are allowed upstairs in the morning for a cuddle 😍. We do have grandchildren who pop in now & then and they too are dog lovers as they have their own dog. We take the dogs out for a short ‘comfort break’ morning & evening plus 2 walks a day, but can tailor this to suit your dogs needs.

I was very apprehensive to leave my dog for the first extended period in his life, but Barry and Hillary were excellent and really put my mind at ease. I got regular updates, and was delighted to see my naturally anxious boy find his feet and gain confidence quite quickly. Would absolutely feel happy to leave him in their excellent care again in future.

Hope and her husband once again took such great care of Nala, was kept up to date daily with updates and pictures. They treat her like one of the family and she loves going to stay with them and I always feel relaxed knowing she’s staying with them on this basis. Wouldn’t hesitate to leave Nala with them again x

Harris and Maria provided took the best care of Penny across a weekend stay at thier house. They were extremely generous with thier time and gave us brilliant updates across the weekend. Penny loved staying with them and has a new best pal in Molly. Thank you both!!

Sarah took in my pup on very short notice, I was welcomed in to meet her and her own dog and made to feel very comfortable before leaving. I got several pictures and videos throughout the days and Bruce seemed to come back very happy. Would recommend and use again.

Our dog Tilly is a little timid and can be nervous around new people and new dogs. After reading the reviews for Lynn we felt she would be perfect for Tilly. We took Tilly to meet Lynn and could tell straight away that Lynn loves dogs. She is very calm and let Tilly do her own thing. She let Tilly come to her in her own time and didn't force it. We weren't sure how Tilly would be staying with another dog, but Mia is a lovely dog. She is very calm and obviously happy to share her home with another dog. Lynn sent regular updates and photos of Tilly on her walks with her new friends. Lynn was very accommodating especially when our flight home was delayed. When I picked Tilly up she met me at the door with her usual wagging tail, happy to see me, but as if I'd only just come home from work and not been away for 5 days. When she came home she was very calm and relaxed and not in a "huff" for being left. We are so happy with Lynn, we have booked Tilly in again.

Charlie was looked after for the 1st time by Kathryn . I was given regular updates and also sent regular photos which gave us reassurance . We had met up with Kathryn on 2 occasions with charlie prior to her looking after him which also made us feel reassured that he would be well cared for . I highly recommend Kathryn and would not hesitate to rebook

Thank you so much Zuzanna and Diego for taking such great care of Cara for the last 17 days. It can be daunting leaving your dog for so long but I honestly had no concerns as knew she’d be well taken care of, and even spoiled at times like the trip to the beach. I was really grateful for all your regular updates and photos as nice to hear that Cara was settled and having a ball. As soon as I’m planning my next holiday I’ll be in touch as would love for you both to take care of Cara again. I’ll also recommend you to friends as it’s truly obvious you care deeply for dogs and would take great care of them. Thank you so much again! Nicola and Cara
