About: I’ve been taking care of all kinds of dogs since I was a kid. I have had two Great Danes (LOVE large breeds) and most recently lived with three cats of my own. I’m the go-to ‘pet sitter’ for all of my friends and frequently will watch theirs for weeks at a time. I love making sure pets feel safe and at home with me, whether it’s cuddles or going on adventures! I work remotely, so generally can fit my routine around the pet! If they need cuddles or alone time I can organize accordingly. For pets who need lots of outdoor time, I can hang in my front garden (weather permitting) and I love going on long walks and runs, so they can come with me when appropriate. I have a fenced front garden, and with pets I give them the space or lack of space they want generally. Kevin and his wife had our dog Murphy while we went on a family trip. I had never used rover before and was extremely anxious about leaving our boy behind especially with someone we did not know. We done a meet beforehand so Murphy was familiar with the surroundings. Kevin and his wife Leah were amazing with Murphy. He had so much fun got lots of attention and walks. Velveth looked after Milo for the first time this July for 3 days and nights. My mind was set at ease with an easily organised meet and greet and Milo was able to sniff around her flat. What can I say about Helen, other than she is amazing! We left our 8 year old Retriever for 18 days whilst we were on holiday and couldn’t have been happier. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
