“This was our first time leaving our fur ball Lottie with anybody while we went on a family holiday so were a bit apprehensive. I’m so glad I found Rachel on here as she is absolutely fantastic and Lottie had so much fun we weren’t even sure she would want to come home. Before our booking we met up just to make sure that we were going to be happy leaving Lottie and of course to let Rachel see if Lottie was going to be a good fit for her. With regular updates while we were away and photos and vids, we could not have asked for any more from someone looking after Lottie. She had a blast. If we need someone to look after Lottie in the future we will not hesitate to book with Rachel and would highly recommend her to anybody who is looking but a bit apprehensive. About: I grew up with dogs, and now have my own beautiful boy who’s 7. I love dogs of all age & sizes, for walks cuddles & playtime I am available for home boarding Thursday - Sunday, I’ll be at home during these time, so your special pooch will have all the attention they need I have a big enclosed garden, for your pooch to play in, a huge park just across the road. I also have a very friendly dog of my own. All boarders will be allowed on the furniture.

About: I was raised in a house full of different animals and for the last 20 years I have had dogs, cats, rabbits, gecko & horse. I have experience in looking after small to extra large dogs. I was a fosterer with Thistle Boxer Rescue for 3 years and became a trustee (lead rehomer) matching rescues with their forever family. This was the most rewarding experience ever! I have experience in challenging behaviours and believe in reward based training. My only ask is that any behavioural issues are disclosed before pick up/drop off such as wanting to eat my cat (1 eyed feline who thinks she runs the house) this decreases any risks and helps me to understand the dog better and provide better care. I also like to borrow my friends and family’s dogs just because I like the furry hugs. I like to make sure that all dogs feel loved. I have a variety of walking areas local to me and will work around the needs of the dogs. I am currently not working so will be able to fully focus on any dog that is in my care. Going for walks, playing with toys and snuggling on the couch if that’s what they want. I look after all animals in my care as my own, with love and with lots of fun. I treat others home and property with care and respect.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
