“Becky was great, Connie loved her stay and didn’t want to leave! She has a massive garden where dogs can freely run about, and becky was full accommodating for Connie's needs with her still being a puppy and being high energy - Would recommend”

“Lewis and Claudia are clearly dog people who our dogs instantly took to, even with anxiety issues. They live just next to Baxter Park which is great for walks and exercise. Dogs were shattered and happy after the stay - perfect! 5 stars would recommend and will be using again.”

“Grant has become my go to for looking after Greg. This was the longest me and Greg have been apart in over a year, and Grant put my completely at ease with video updates. I can't recommend Grant enough, as soon as we park outside Greg knows where we are and he can't wait to get inside!”

“Grant provides a very thorough approach to his service. He takes it seriously, as he should. It's his reputation and he wants to provide the best. But I hope in time we can trust each other, so he can relax a bit more. Poppy herself had a lovely time. She can come across as being a bit excitable to start with but she settles down quickly. She would have thoroughly enjoyed the walks that Grant provides. Dates already booked in again for further holidays.”

“Danielle was an exceptional host for Teddy. Her home is clean, warm, and inviting. Teddy took to this space straight away on his first visit and I felt comfortable leaving him in Danielle's capable hands. I received regular and prompt updates about Teddy during his visit and this was most helpful. I would recommend Danielle to anyone looking for a loving place for their dog to stay whilst they are away.”

“Diego is the best. Professional with a soft touch. Could not have asked for a better person for my dog. And my situation was awkward to say the least! 11/10. Best dog walker going.”

About: Hi there! I’m someone who absolutely loves spending time with dogs, and I know first-hand how wonderful every dog can be – including rescues. Two years ago we welcomed our own rescue girl Jessie into our home; she’s grown into such a confident, friendly and loving companion, and she’s always happy to make new four-legged friends! I’ve cared for lots of dogs belonging to friends and family over the years, so I’m comfortable with all sorts of personalities, ages and needs. I also hold a canine first aid certificate, so you can relax knowing your dog is in safe, capable hands. We are so lucky to live right next to a large park with beautiful woodlands – perfect long walks, sniffing trails and plenty of safe space to explore and play. Whether your dog loves gentle strolls, energetic adventures, or just quiet company, I’ll tailor every moment to suit them perfectly. I treat every dog in my care like my own – with patience, kindness and all the love they deserve. I’m fully available and dedicated to making dog care my main job, so I have plenty of flexible time for walks, visits, or sitting any day of the week. I can accommodate early mornings, late afternoons, weekends, and longer stays to suit your plans perfectly. I offer house sitting in your dog’s own home, so they stay comfortable and calm in familiar surroundings. I hold a canine first aid certificate, I’m experienced with my own rescue dog Jessie, and I always follow your exact routine, feeding, and care instructions closely. I’ll keep your home secure and send regular updates so you can relax completely.
“Andi was absolutely fantastic when keeping our boy over our wedding/honeymoon period. She was always quick to reply in the booking process, and made sure we had frequent updates and photos of Buzz when we were away, totally putting us at ease. It looks like Buzz had an absolute ball on his stay! Would highly recommend Andi, we will definitely be booking with her again in future.”

“We had a great experience with our Rhiannon and her family! They were absolutely lovely and made Aspen feel right at home. It was clear from the updates and photos that she was relaxed, happy, and enjoying herself. She had plenty of lovely walks and came back to us calm and content. We’d definitely be happy to book again. Thank you so much for taking such good care of her!”

“Arlo absolutely loved his stay with Sabrina! As an owner who was abroad on holiday, Sabrina put all my worries to rest. Sabrina sent updates and pictures, was flexible with timings and took great care of Arlo. I can't recommend Sabrina highly enough and Arlo will be looking forward to his next stay!”

About: I've been enjoying using another app for house sitting pets in the owners home, have looked after 35 pets so far mostly dogs and really enjoy getting to know each beautiful soul! I'm physically and mentally strong, able to manage more demanding behaviors and with gentle patience, charm the most nervous pets. I'm a freelance community project lead so I am flexible and enjoy getting outdoors as much as possible. I love a walk to the park that backs on to my home or a bigger jaunt round to Victoria and Lochee park. I have a fenced in garden for zoomies and the park adjacent for longer stretches. We use the back door as our main door which offers additional safety as we can implement an 'airlock' system between the two internal doors 😅. Our neighborhood is a 20 zone and we live on a cul-de-sac. We have space for your crate if you would like to provide one for your dog's comfort.

“Beth and her family are lovely and very accommodating. We left too late to find someone to look after Kyon for 24 hours trip to Aberdeen. However, We were really lucky to find Beth and her family. The location is lovely, Kyon can run around with Pip (his new doggy friend) in a large enclosed garden. We were worried about whether two male dogs together would cause troubles. However, Pip is very friendly dog and was very friendly and playful with Kyon. They got on really well from the start and Kyon mastered tug of war game by the end of his stay. Kyon had his own space for sleeping. The family took Kyon on many walks in the fields during the time he stayed with them. That was what Kyon needed. From the pictures, Kyon looks extremely content. We also got a helpful tip about using pumpkin puree to help Kyon with his upset tummy. If you need someone to look after your dog in Dundee areas, I sincerely recommend Beth. Your dog will definitely have a great time.”
About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was a little girl. We have always had dogs in my family so I understand that they are members of the family. I know what it means to leave your pet in the care of someone else so I will always do it with all the care and love that they need, keeping you up to date with everything that happens. I have an 8-year-old dog named Bono with whom we have lived in Chile, France, and now Scotland (and we have also traveled to many countries together). I recently moved to Dundee and I have a lot of availability to take care of pets and walk dogs. I’m passionate about animals and have a dog of my own, so I understand how important it is to make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and exercise. We were so pleased with Anya she is a lovely person . Buddy was well looking after done lots of different things with him, he made new dog friends, loved the regular photos and video updates, he was getting lots of cuddles and attention. We would definitely get Anya to take Buddy again. Would highly recommend anyone to use Anya. Thank you so much again for looking after our boy ❤️

Our labradoodle stayed with Elin for 2 weeks this time as we had a special holiday booked. We had used Elin before for a shorter time so were confident to leave her for longer this time. We were very happy with the care given by Elin and she gave us regular updates and photos showing how happy our dog was and what they’d been up to. We just picked up a very happy and healthy dog and have her booked in again soon! Thank you Elin!

This is my first time using Rover and the first time leaving my spaniel with someone he didn’t know. I had a meet and greet with Andi beforehand and was instantly put at ease, he was happy around her and stayed overnight with no issues. I was sent a couple of messages and photos to let me see know how he was settling. Would definitely recommend and I’m sure Murphy would love to visit again.

Storm clearly had a really good time as she was delighted to go back and see Lewis when we had forgotten to take the food bowl, which is always a good sign. She was happy and tired after her stay. Lewis was willing to make minor changes to the times when my schedule had changed which was much appreciated

Niamh was the perfect dog sitter! She kept Artù very entertained, walked him a lot, and even set up mental stimulation games for him :) She has a dog camera, so for the short time Artù was alone, she was always able to keep an eye on him. She also regularly sent me photos and videos. I will definitely ask her to look after Artù again if I need it :)

Jill was fantastic with our dog, she showed him lots of attention and would highly recommend her. We received updates throughout + photos, our dog loved the day and had a great time both at Jill's home and out on walks too - we will be booking again soon for sure! Thanks again Jill :)

Our original sitter had to cancel, so we booked Daniel fairly last minute, but he was so helpful and flexible for us and our pup. We had a meet and greet with he and Shirley, and Ody stayed two nights at Daniel's. As a one year old working golden, Ody can be a handful but Daniel took it in stride and gave us updates on how our boy was getting on, meaning we were able to relax and enjoy our time away knowing he was in safe hands. We're certain Ody would love to stay with Daniel and Shirley again 😊

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
