“Becky happy to have Lady to stay with her family Kept in touch through Rover messaging and pictures throughout my trip which I found reassuring and helped me relax knowing she was being cared for I hope to use Becky again in the new year but have yet to plan my Baby looked healthy and happy on my return regards Kathy 🥰”

“Ann looked after our little jack Russell for one night and was so good with him. I felt reassured reading all of her great reviews and they were all true. As soon as I met Ann I knew he was in safe hands with her. He came back a happy chappy. Thankyou for taking such good care of him.”

“Slava looked after our puppy, Pascha, on the day of our wedding and overnight. She was really responsive beforehand and I was reassured from the first meeting that she was responsible and experienced in looking after dogs. She took great care of Pascha and even very kindly brought her to our wedding so that we could see her and get some pictures. It was such a comfort on the day to know that our special girl was well looked after!”

“We had a great experience with our Rhiannon and her family! They were absolutely lovely and made Aspen feel right at home. It was clear from the updates and photos that she was relaxed, happy, and enjoying herself. She had plenty of lovely walks and came back to us calm and content. We’d definitely be happy to book again. Thank you so much for taking such good care of her!”

“Grant has become my go to for looking after Greg. This was the longest me and Greg have been apart in over a year, and Grant put my completely at ease with video updates. I can't recommend Grant enough, as soon as we park outside Greg knows where we are and he can't wait to get inside!”

“Caitlin was an excellent dog-sitter. Our pup seemed very happy during her stay with Caitlin who kept us up-to-date with messages and photos which were very reassuring. We’d highly recommend and plan to re-book if we need dog-sitting in the future.”

“Grant provides a very thorough approach to his service. He takes it seriously, as he should. It's his reputation and he wants to provide the best. But I hope in time we can trust each other, so he can relax a bit more. Poppy herself had a lovely time. She can come across as being a bit excitable to start with but she settles down quickly. She would have thoroughly enjoyed the walks that Grant provides. Dates already booked in again for further holidays.”

“Collected Poppy today after spending two nights with Lynh. Every day I got photos of their adventure walks and Poppy looked very happy and well cared for. Will definitely book with Lynh going forward 🥰 🐶 xx”

“Another great experience with Andi and Rory. Snoopy loves them and clearly had a great holiday while I enjoyed mine with the knowledge Snoopy was safe and happy, recieving regular updates on his adventures.”

“Really excellent - Jura had such a good time with Danielle and Ian! He got lots of good walks, and Danielle kept me updated with pictures. I’d recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!”

“Best boarding in Dundee! I had to board Link for an entire month, and I was quite worried about potential issues since it’s a relatively long period. However, Daniel’s enthusiasm and professionalism completely surprised me. He frequently provided updates and follow-ups, and it was evident that he has a genuine love for animals. He handles situations with care and professionalism, clearly not in this business just for the money. What touched me the most was Daniel’s honesty in dealing with unexpected situations. He always informed me promptly and truthfully, unlike some pet boarding services that might hide issues from owners to avoid “trouble.” Whether for short-term or long-term boarding, I would absolutely recommend Daniel!”

“Thank you to Lewis and Claudia. With Murphy our Sheepadoodle being on the larger size, it can be daunting for some to look after him but both Lewis and Claudia took him on with confidence and without hesitation. They answered our questions and updated us to let us know that Murphy settled well which put our minds at ease. On collection Murphy was his usual energetic self and seemed absolutely fine with having been away!”

“Lori was amazing with Willow and I’d highly recommend to anyone a bit nervous of leaving their dog. This is the first sleepover Willow has had with someone from Rover and my mind was at ease the entire time. I received written updates with pics and Willow got on well with the other dogs in the house 😊 She’s come back absolutely knackered so I know she’s been well looked after!”

“Lenny boarded at Roseannas home, he absolutely adores being there. Lenny came home and slept for a couple of days as he was so tired out from playing with JoJo! We would never hesitate to send Lenny to board at Roseannas, we got daily photos & and could see that he was going on his own adventures or sleeping cuddled up on a lap! This enabled us to really chill on our holiday. Thanks again, We highly recommend 👌”

“We were a bit apprehensive leaving our 11 month old pup Ruby for the first time but she had a ball at Nicole's and we'll have no worries about where to board her in future. Nicole sent regular updates, pictures and videos and it was obvious that Ruby was happy and well looked after there. Would have no hesitation recommending Nicole.”

“Rebecca was fantastic, Poppy and Tulip have had an amazing time and have been provided with all the love and care in the world. We got lots of (p)up-dates of what they were doing, they’ve had the best holiday. We would definitely recommend Rebecca 😍”

“Ellie was amazing with Willow, plenty of updates and pictures. Felt super comfortable enjoying my holiday knowing my dog was having the best care. Would absolutely book again as willow had a great time!!”

“Charlene was brilliant with George. He can be a bit of a handful at times but she handled him perfectly. I was sent lots of photos & updates during the stay & George looks happy & relaxed. He was truly spoilt during his stay. 1st class service and will definitely book again. 😀”

Jessica is such a lovely, friendly, caring person and even although it was Digby's first time with her overnight, he had the best time. She is amazing with dogs and Digby was settled with her straight away and I'm quite sure that when I came to pick him up the next day, he would quite happily have stayed!!! She took him out on long walks and he got lots of love and cuddles. Jessica kept in touch with me and sent me regular updates and pics which was great. Can't recommend Jessica highly enough, she was just fab and I will definetly be using her on a regular basis.

My Senior boy loved his stay with Diego and he seemed to be very happy and relaxed when I picked him up. With close proximity to an open grassy park, the location is ideal for a walk too. I would definitely recommend this sitter and will 100% be re-booking in the very near future.

Natalia is excellent. She took great care of our dog over the weekend and he returned very happy. Natalia is clearly very experienced and understands dogs deeply. She took the time to get to know our dog, his personality, behaviors and preferences to the point where we felt very confident leaving him in her care. We will be having her care for our dog again in the near future

Winnie has gone to Lewis a few times now and you should see her tail wag when she gets to his door. Normally I pick her up and drop her off but this time I was away for longer than Lewis could accommodate and he helpfully dropped her off to another sitter. I really appreciated that!

Maggie looked after our very excitable 7 month puppy for a long weekend. She was excellent with him and he came back a happy boy. Great contact and updates throughout his stay which was appreciated after only having him a few weeks ourselves. Would highly recommend.

We were so pleased with Anya she is a lovely person . Buddy was well looking after done lots of different things with him, he made new dog friends, loved the regular photos and video updates, he was getting lots of cuddles and attention. We would definitely get Anya to take Buddy again. Would highly recommend anyone to use Anya. Thank you so much again for looking after our boy ❤️

Our labradoodle stayed with Elin for 2 weeks this time as we had a special holiday booked. We had used Elin before for a shorter time so were confident to leave her for longer this time. We were very happy with the care given by Elin and she gave us regular updates and photos showing how happy our dog was and what they’d been up to. We just picked up a very happy and healthy dog and have her booked in again soon! Thank you Elin!

This is my first time using Rover and the first time leaving my spaniel with someone he didn’t know. I had a meet and greet with Andi beforehand and was instantly put at ease, he was happy around her and stayed overnight with no issues. I was sent a couple of messages and photos to let me see know how he was settling. Would definitely recommend and I’m sure Murphy would love to visit again.

Niamh was the perfect dog sitter! She kept Artù very entertained, walked him a lot, and even set up mental stimulation games for him :) She has a dog camera, so for the short time Artù was alone, she was always able to keep an eye on him. She also regularly sent me photos and videos. I will definitely ask her to look after Artù again if I need it :)

Jill was fantastic with our dog, she showed him lots of attention and would highly recommend her. We received updates throughout + photos, our dog loved the day and had a great time both at Jill's home and out on walks too - we will be booking again soon for sure! Thanks again Jill :)

Our original sitter had to cancel, so we booked Daniel fairly last minute, but he was so helpful and flexible for us and our pup. We had a meet and greet with he and Shirley, and Ody stayed two nights at Daniel's. As a one year old working golden, Ody can be a handful but Daniel took it in stride and gave us updates on how our boy was getting on, meaning we were able to relax and enjoy our time away knowing he was in safe hands. We're certain Ody would love to stay with Daniel and Shirley again 😊

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Scotland may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
